The Financial Times’ award-winning podcast series Hot Money is back. In this series our reporter Miles Johnson investigates a mysterious murder in a small town that leads to a web of drugs, money laundering and state-sponsored assassinations stretching from Dublin to Dubai. At the centre is a cocaine super cartel that is revolutionising the global drugs market. This eight-part investigative podcast probes the links between criminals and legitimate businesses, and between governments and gangsters. You can listen to the other episodes at on.ft.com/3T6aKir

Super interesting! 🧠
Is it too much to ask to provide subtitles? With all the different accents it is necessary and the autogenerated ones fail exactly at times where they are necessary.
I share this gentleman opinion
I can totally see the DEA guy in my mind such a colorful character
He’s a family guy
@@justjackman lucky he's a man who positively can do
nice
The Irish are very small players in the European market believe me
Kinighan gang are Global players.
Slowly
@@williampatrickfagan7590 miniscule
LOL, Kinahans are not "Small Players"... they had over $500 million euros seized from them AND THEN RETURNED because they laundered the money so well..
Sounds like small fries to me for sure..
@11ride4life calculating at 10% profit that would figuratively place them in control of one or two major cities for about 3-5 years. Micro regional at best
@@danielmarquardt4341 that is not gross cash flow we are talking about fully laundered and invested profits.
I admit I am American and am not a euro drug expert but that kind of clean cash is not easy to come by.
