In this clip, Herman ‘Cowboy’ Douglas explained why he doesn’t believe Eric Holder will be safe in protective custody. According to Cowboy, there is a larger protective custody population than there is general population which could spell trouble for Holder as he prepares for prison.
Cowboy also opened up about the hate he’s received for testifying to the point he thinks he’s being condemned more for taking the stand than Eric Holder is for killing Nipsey.
The fact that Cowboy is getting more hate than Eric, is what is wrong with hood mentality and why there is no progress in it

In a Breakfast Club interview Nipsey talked about a line he said in "Blue Laces 2" - "I'm the spook by the door, this the infiltration." This was a reference to the book and movie The Spook Who Sat By the Door, which was also going to be the title of Nipsey's 3rd studio album. The plot was about a black guy from Chicago who was recruited to be the token black person in the CIA so they could show they were "integrating." He played his position, learned as much as he could from the agency and then quit the CIA to return to Chicago. He taught the people from his hood the combat and espionage skills he had learned, united the people and organized a revolution which then spread to other major cities. Nipsey was on a mission to unite and uplift the gangs and the hood.
This is why some people didn't buy the "crime of passion" story and probably why Cowboy took the stand and did this interview refuting it. There was a feeling since the moment the murder happened that something else was behind it, for those who chose to look beyond the surface. If I recall correctly, Nipsey was scheduled to meet with the LAPD the day after he was killed to discuss how to improve relations between the police and the neighborhood.

My boy is now 7 years into a life bid for a shooting he didn't do. Everybody knows he ain't do it, but he didn't want to flip. So he said nothing, and that blind ass witness put him in it. He was there, but it wasn't him. No DNA, no prints on the gun... That's when I learnt the cops don't actually care if you're guilty, they just want a conviction. We're just waiting for his last appeals to fail and then we're submitting his case to the innocence project. That's what the street code can do to someone...

Eric holder admitted to killing Nip. But he's arguing it was a crime of passion/ in the moment. Cowboy is intentionally trying to call holder a liar and possibly get him at best life without parole and at worst the death penalty.
