I Remember in 2008, 12 years ago Me and my Mum Went from Fort Hayes to Crazy Horse Memorial by Tour bus, Going through this, The Bus Driver Matt Pates at the Time dressed like a Marshal, Had the Passengers in Stitches and Motorcyclists were taking Photos and Laughing in front of us 🤣Great Memories 💝Thank you Matt Pates at the time. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Actually that has happened, once, and to me. I was the bus driver and am the bus driver in this video. My bus quit right in the middle of this tunnel. We were, fortunately, in a spot where my passengers could squeeze out of the door. The bus was stopped in the tunnel for about 20 minutes. It turned out the bus engine was hot and quit. It wouldn't start until it cooled off. We didn't know that was the problem at the time. Those people really got a fun memory then.
Hey, I see your concern, however, this is a top notch company and their equipment is well maintained and the drivers are at the top of their profession. + they do this every day. Live is an adventure, so go for it....
Thanks for that story Ken! Wow, that must have freaked everyone out at the time. I was thinking that maybe twenty burly bikers could shove the bus out! ;)
That looked like a fun ride! I can't help but wonder if a bus has ever stalled inside the tunnel. There would be no way to open the doors and get the passengers out. Would be an interesting recovery for the road call mechanic. ;)
Your comment is 10 years old that they wouldn't be able to get out of the bus but just in case you're still interested buses have hatches at the top that people can get out from Hope you've been okay these last 10 years with everything you've been through

Good ol MCI equipment, have an mc9 with over three million, still running good
Wow! Amazing tour bus driver!
If there was new Veolia NICE Driver driving this bus, they properly wouldn't make it.
Went last year, want to do it again! Was the best time!!!!!

Great fun! I want to ride with Ken!
Great video.
Great ride, just a squeeze, eh, just like that Heli RIde in Hawaii with inches to spare. Thumbs Up
Yes I am sure they are complete professionals. I worked as a bus mechanic for 23 years. Things happen... ;)
This bus driver is a BEAST!
Thanks so much for watching
it would be better if everyone could widening the tunnel but carefully tho
I bet the Scout would sound good idling through there with open exhaust!
Top drawer driving skills.
If this was Nassau County Veolia bus driver, it will fail.
Thanks a bunch for watching!!!
I watch tons of times.
I wonder how big a bus that is? I wouldn't want to try putting my motor home through that tight space.
Looks like a typical MCI. 45' x 8'-4".
+Chevy 57pkup, He TOLD you how big it was dipshit.
Terrorists-I mean tourists.....
I been here
Did you drive a bus through it...)
