I time serted my f250 superduty 5.4 spark plugs holes after they puked plugs out. I have done 3 already. Kind of scary doing it in the truck but they work great. Best kit I ever bought. Made my money back 2 fold by fixing other fords.

Thank you for the video. I have never used time serts, but I must ask, is there no need to use red permatex threadlocker on the outside of the time sert? I would think to possibly prevent any chance of leakage and also for insurance against it coming out. I am thinking about using this on a stripped set of threads on a spark plug hole on a cast iron head. Thanks for your time.

The insert expands when you insert it with the tool. Depending on where the hardware is, you could use sealants. But it depends on the application

Great job, might need a better moisture separator in the air line?

Yeah we have an air line cooler/ water separator on the main system 120gal 15hp 3 stage compressor. That unit had a valve go bad so I was using our OLD backup system in this video.

Good video! Are time-sert designs good for leak prevention? I have a helicoil setup (haven't tried using thread seal yet) and am getting a leak past the threads. This is my attempt to salvage a bleeder screw using one of those two piece NPT repair kits. It would appear that a solid insert design would be a better option over the helicoil.

If I'm fixing a 17mm hole, how big do I make the new time sert like 19 or 20mm?

I'm just wondering if I need to go up in bolt size since the 17mm threads are stripped
