I hope there were no abusive training methods used on the 4 different dogs who played Rex. Behind the scenes animal trainers often care more about the money they make than the welfare of the animal they train. Action scenes often cause much stress for the animal, the viewer sees what the director wants you to see, be careful regarding 'animal movies' behind the scenes much abuse happens.
