Awesome looking table . Looks like you put in a lot of hours to put that together . Great work I'm about to build one soon . How wide did you make the goal ? I cant find any info about regulation goal width online . Looks like your goal is about 12-16 in. wide . Also where did you get the aluminum rails ? Only thing i can find is flat bar and angle . Thanks for any info.
Thank you. The goals are 14" wide at the narrow. I acquired the aluminum stock from a local metal supply vendor. Most fairly large cities have a vendor that can supply the aluminum stock.
Now i'm trying to figure out how to apply the contact cement so it won't plug the holes up . I'm going to route 48 - 1/4in. wide dado channels horizontal on the play table then drill out the grid on the laminate . Did you brush or spray on the adhesive ? Thanks for your help
Or did you apply to both the laminate and plywood then drilled out the 1/16in. I won't have a problem if I can just put adhesive on the plywood . But I thought it needs to be on both
Te digo una mejor idea, haz un disco 🥏 que use bolitas de rodamiento, como los balines de acero que traen los baleros, como los mouse antiguos de computadora y guala, sería más fácil de construir.
The blower I used has a 120V, 8A motor. Cubic Ft per min is a fuzzy number when the air flow is restricted. The 8A motor is oversized. A little smaller motor would be sufficient and would probably be a little more quiet.
Hi I have an arcade Elephant AIR Hockey Table. It doesn't seem to give out sufficient air flow to play properly. I have seen alot of videos on UA-cam trying to figure out what should be done to fix the problem. I bought a 1/16 drill bit and drilled holes and cleaned them... Than Light sand the whole things to get it smooth and than clean it off.. its nice and smooth the pucks are fine as well... the blower works great I took it out of the table to see if its work fine and blower is very powerful. Blower is mounted right in the middle of the table underneath it . And where the blower is mounted the air flow is fine there but on the right and left side the air flow is almost non existent... Can u suggest what should I do plz
It depends on how the table is configured. If the blower is pointed straight up to the holes in the table, then more air will flow right over the table. I found that out with a different blower. I pointed the blower I used to the side which generates a cyclone type air movement in the air box. The larger holes in the ply wood also allows for a better air dispersion before the air hits the top laminate with the smaller holes. The blower I used as a 120V, 8 Ampere motor ( answer to prior question) which is far more power than required. A 4 Ampere motor would be more than sufficient and would probably run quieter.

I used a roller to apply the contact glue. I didn't worry about plugging the 1/4 in holes. @@82cutty
So you only put adhesive on the plywood ?

Hey, Great Build,
What is the Cubic Ft per min air flow of the air blower you have used?

The models of blowers I’m seeing are 8.7a, 950ish watts. Does that sounds similar to what you used for a blower?
how much did it cost ?

@@TheHobbyWorldofDrMike Thank you for your response. So will an other blower facing upwards or side ways could be the solution to the problem?
