this is simply amazing, while I was wasting my time listening to the garbage they pass of as music today, I never once thought to look back in time and fall in love with this type of music. since I grew up I was made to think it was boring, but in my childhood I remember a little toy my parents gave me that played a classical tune with little bells. while looking for the song I found all this! Now ive fallen for all types of classical music from piano to orchestra.
the problem that andre rieu has ,is he is successful and that is why people dislike him, if you get to the top of the hill people will try to drag you down mainly people who have not achieved anything with their own lives.

Andre Rieu has got new audiences to Strauss and other a little "older" music. We can think whatever we want about the musical details (I have heard worse) but it is important that new people hear classical music. Excellent devices (show, beautiful ladies etc.) may help in it - and Andre Rieu knows them. :) I'll continue in another message. :)

i have never heard of any of the people you have named but because i managed by chance to find one of andre rieu,s video,s on youtube i have discovered loads of fantastic music that i never listened to before, i have seen comments from people like you who think of yourselves superior to other music lovers. just remember andre and his orchestra and the many artists who perform withh him are all fine musicians but they have made the mistake of being popular and successful.
