- I have been fortunate enough to be raised next to the ocean and have had the opportunity to come back and reconnect with the island and our family when I can. Last November, with my Billabong family I was able to explore, shoot, surf and go on adventures around my island home. There are no words that illustrate the love I have for my family and with that being said majority of them live in the Philippines.
It was incredibly special to me that Billabong were able to meet and share time with the people who mean so much to me. Reflecting on that special week, so many amazing memories were created and shared.
My love for this island and the incredible people will never fade, never die. Siargao makes my heart sing and fills it full of love. I cannot express how special this place is to me; it is otherworldly.

I have to hand it to you Billabong, I absolutely love this "Home Series" you've produced. There is a lot of purity in this and it ties wonderfully to one of the the original mantras of Billabong as a brand, "Only a surfer knows the felling". Well, you've captured that feeling on many levels with this video and with this series. I've always believed in your brand and have always been loyal to it, precisely because of this. You captured it with Occy, with Andy, and now I see it again with this series. Wonderful, really wonderful.
There's nothing like going back to your grass roots and loving your motherland.

We loved her in Byron & now im moving my family to Siargao where my wife is from....both Josie & my wife have similar little quirks that Tissays do...Santa Monica is close enough and yet far enough from everything else....anybody who wants to escape the insanity of the western world come and have a look at Siargao...love & peace to all....
