The scoreboard is a bit broken, I actually died three times in this match instead of two. For those curious, two deaths happened at the very beginning before this video and my huge kill-streak starts. Only one of those deaths counted towards the scoreboard for some reason, it might be a bug with the flesh wound mechanic because I've had it happen in the past. This shouldn't be exploitable because flesh wound seems to happen fairly randomly. The only time I do see flesh wound occur more frequently is when you're in idle just walking around not inputting any attacks/blocks. The third death was shown on-screen at the end of the video because it was the most interesting and it also keeps tracks of all your kills/takedowns during that life at the bottom right for you. Hope that clears up any weirdness, and stay tuned there's more Chivalry 2 content in the pipeline.
From testing on bots, I think flesh wound occurs when a slashing attack hits you in the arm (hitbox is pretty spotty) and leaves you under 10 hp. I'm not sure if there's a % chance of it happening, but you can do it fairly consistently against bots with slashing attacks that do 60 to 65 damage.
@@precipitousnix6099 Interesting. I wonder if it has something to do with how much overflow damage there is too. Bots only have around 65hp so if your attack does exactly 65 or roundabouts then it may proc it. Compared to something like the war axe or executioner's axe where it can do well over that amount you could very easily avoid that threshold if it does exist. I'm curious if that extends to the downed state too but it's just hitting your opponent in the leg rather than arm. Looks like I'll have to do some experimentation myself to try and figure out if there is a consistent rule to these mechanics.
@Trix Bots have 70hp and count as Footmen for damage multipliers.
The exact damage value of the attack doesn't seem to matter for dismembering, as long as it puts you under that 10 hp threshold. I've done it using combinations of jab into strike (10-15 into 50-55) and similar.
Just wish I knew how to do that feint you do into over head. Is it possible on controller. I'm sure it's a lot of key strokes to make juggle the axe over your head then bam overhead

If you ever noticed, he's constantly checking his sides and angles. He's never locked in on the one guy, always be aware of your surroundings.
Stay with friendlies, but don’t count on them to watch your back. As soon as you get surrounded, it’s over.

@@TrixMelee They just get in the way so often, I won't even move in on an enemy that has more than 2 allies on him unless he backs right into me and is WIDE open, but if I'm one v one with someone and 2 or 3 allies come runnin up? Yeah you're getting caught in the backswing with the ol battle axe, it's happening, count on it. Lol
I would love to see some more chivalry videos, I’ve been playing since launch and the player base has gotten much better skill wise. This was a truly masterful run here as well, amazing!

I do almost everything exactly like he does with attacks but EVERYONE always blocks me attacks. The guys he’s fighting look like they didn’t know there was a block button

Either that or you have to remember to feint when stuck in a block fest, perhaps a kick.
@@serwalkerofthekeynes8761 I do some feint attacks but most of the people I play against don’t always fall for it and they just hold down block. That’s why I was so confused on how almost nobody was blocking any of his attacks.
@@renegadepyro726 ohhh, life hack for people who guard non stop, kick! It staggers them provided it hits.
The downside to kicking however, it doesn't interrupt an opponents attack that's already I'm progress.
Took me a while to figure out the sneaky shit.
@@serwalkerofthekeynes8761 Ohhhh, there’s times where I’ve kicked and they would still hit and now I know why. I always thought the kick was treated as a swing and it would interrupt mid attack if you were faster. That’s actually a good tip

Great gameplay, nice tactics also, hit and run, no rush to finish the current enemie, just go swing in a different direction then get back to him later on when he's busy with someone else.

Hey great video thanks, nice to see good dismemberment and blood FX. A question - do the bodies and body parts stay lying around or do they vanish? Vanishing bodies are a real immersion killer in many games. Its tough to find a game with good persistence.
If you haven't found out yourself after a year it's actually a bit of both since the ragdoll vanishs but a corpse spawns exactly where the player or bot died however the corpse does not match the equipment the player had but has the design of the bots so it is a bit immersion breaking hut atleast you can tell that a battle happened by those corpses.
Using that down swing like a champ.

The thing about Trix in Chivalry II is _how_ he doesn't die...the most common way I die is getting myself in a bad position and I specifically try to imitate Trix's sort of philosophy but it seems I never can...I always get left in a 1vX where I can only take down 1 or 2 with me tops

What weapon and class were you using? and also, how do you properly counter? i find im too special to do it as i just imagine it as chambering in mordhau except parrying then inputing the same swing? One last question, at 4:15 when you repost his swing, you do a funky feint morph or something... are you able to explain it as it seems to be more efficient! Thanks
1. I was playing the first Knight subclass with the War Axe.
2. Counters are performed similar to how you'd chamber in Mordhau but you have to input an attack whilst you are blocking. The crosshair will tell you if you've started a counter or not. You only need to match the attack type for a counter to work (Horizontal, Stab, or Overhead), you don't need to match the attack side/direction (left or right).
3. All I did at 4:15 was counter my opponent's attack and then inputted a different attack during the windup of my counter. This automatically feints my counter for me and continues the counter in the new attack. You can do the same thing with regular attacks too.
This game makes you feel like a god
Try using the dane axe/mez with vanguard. You can one shot archers with throw and still have a nice main to destroy. I had a similar game but I had 98 takedowns and 9 deaths (because of Legolas archers supporting the one guy I'm fighting)
Are you using different keybinds somehow? They feel so awkward especially for feinting? What are you us using?
Yet strangely enough that's the first time I've seen the masons lose that first point.

Force of habit from Chiv1 and Mordhau. I'm not sure, because I haven't tested, but attacks might land sooner if you crouch with them.

It’s to hard to crouch with controller, did you do it with keyboard?
My biggest take away is to be patient.
Just because you engaged someone doesn’t mean you can’t back out to feign a retreat while you charge up a swing for your foe to run into.
or simply bounce out of the fight to a neighboring foe for a surprise, and then bouncing back to the first foe. Great way to keep your own rhythm while ruining your foe’s.

Can you give me a timestamp so I know exactly which part you're talking about? I'd happily run through how I performed it then.

@@kukindik At 4:15 and 4:36 all I did was counter my opponent's horizontal attack and then inputted an overhead during the windup of my counter. This automatically feints my counter for me and continues the counter in the new attack. You can do the same thing with regular attacks too. I perform this input very early into windup but I could have waited a little bit later into windup, so that's why the animations are a bit quick.
Here's the exact inputs: I pressed my block button and then immediately performed a horizontal attack during the block to start the counter. Then as soon as the counter connected with my opponents attack I pressed my overhead button.
