YES I agree, that $400.00 pricetag causes a big fat DJ record SCREEEEEETCH!! Like WTF am I doing with my life and do I need professional help?? Wow I've never heard of Revlon Scent Blends! I love soapy fragrances too. Do you like Je Reviens by Worth? I love it and It's sort of soapy. I was there when Boucheron first came out and it was considered such an expensive line back then! WOW TOPAZE!!! You're so sweet to mention me!! It's funny too because as I was watching I was eying that bottle wondering what it was and it's my wonderful TOPAZE! I am now on a search to see what kinds of vintage bottles it came in and you've given me my first answer to that question! I am thrilled that you like it too! Wonderful and cozy video as always and thanks again for the mention!!
In northern New Hampshire, we are feeling the seasons change as well. Today it is around 40f, rainy and dreary. I used to hate it. But a decade or so ago, I read a book about the Scandinavian perspective (practice?) of “Hygge” and it completely changed my perspective. These darker months I light candles, use string lights, enjoys hot mugs of tea/coffee/coco, and snuggle up with thick and warm blankets... instead of depressing, I now feel it as cozy. And my favorite (cheaply) scents for it are Avon’s Rare Pearls, Yves Rocher’s Venice (discontinued so not so cheap anymore), and Clinique’s Simply
Men seem to all love clean, soapy scents or powdery. I received huge compliments when I wore Exclamation by Coty...and Kenzo Flower (worn seperately). Both very powdery.
I remember when in 1998 the first time I smelled Splendor EA . It was a nice bright scent, perfect for cool gray and rainy days. And it wasn't cheap back then. I loved the ads promoting this fragrance with a beautiful, elegant, classy young woman.
I m soo in mood for musky, powdery and soapy fragrance lately... 🤩 And body fantasies white musk is in my list now. Also I had came across this hidden gem perfume by Swiss Arabian called Musk 74 poudre. I'm surprised why no one had yet cane across it... The notes I saw on fragnantica are all 100/100 amazing... And I'm sucker for Aldehydes!♥️
I loved Splendor. I used to wear Exclamation in college. I hate the days getting shorter. I am trying to rebuild my fragrance collection after getting ripped off this spring -- 8 of my perfumes were grabbed: Dune, Philosophy Amazing Grace, Perry Ellis 360, Stella McCartney Pop Bluebell, Kate Spade Walk on Air, Avon Sweet Honesty, a body spray Vince Camuto Ciao, and one more I can't think of. I will NEVER have the money to replace Dune, and living on Social Security Disability, I have only been able to replace the Avon. I have had a revolving door of caretakers, hate to think one stole from me (I am a stroke patient) but it's that or someone got into my apartment. I don't have much but I do love my perfumes.
Yes, Exclamation is like the younger, playful sister of Volupte or Tresor. I only "discovered" it about 4 years ago when I did a deep dive into Sophia Grosjman's creations. We didn't get loads of US releases as I would have snapped it up in a shot. I spotted the distinctive Boucheron bottle; I love my vintage Boucheron Boucheron but it's definitely not an everyday wear😂
Fabulous picks! I adore gourmands. Always excited to wear them again. Minuit Et Demi, Dates Delight and Rouge Saray and some of my favorites. My newest, Devotion is quickly becoming a love. Have a good week! 🍫🍪
I’ve got Mackie By Bob Mackie; Perry Ellis 360 Pink . A Big Bottle very Inexpensive . A great Cheapie for Fall Einter is Guess Seductive Noir . $20-$22 for a 2.5 oz bottle nice musky scent and it lasts a long time for a Cheaper priced scent . Bought this new recently and am very glad I did . Guess Gold is also very good for Fall Winter . Same price point and a Nice large bottle with a decent 4-5hour wear . Love your videos . I know you don’t have to spend a lot to smell beautiful . I have some expensive Fragrances but a lot of Medium priced to inexpensive ones . I love a lot of what you have like Irridescence by Mackie . Wish I could find more of his fragrances and Elizabeth Taylor Scents . I only have 3 White Diamonds; Diamonds & Emeralds& Sparkling White Diamonds . Can’t find any others .
Hi, sorry not sure how I added the above comment to your video. This was for another reviver who was doing fall gourmands. I appreciate your channel and you’ve encouraged me to look into other fragrances from my fav perfumers that are not as pricey. Happy Autumn 🍁🍂
@@MyPerfumeMap Your bottle is from the latest edition. Just look here at the 1970s catalogs, then the bottles looked different. I loved the way the bottles then looked like...
My husband really loves body fantasies soft white musk too. That and romance &dreams are my two favorite body fantasies sprays. My husband loves them both, and they both last long, and are more like perfumes than body sprays. I got rid of the rest of my body fantasies, but I keep these two in my collection at all times. I’ve noticed romance and dreams is getting harder to find, and when you do find it, it’s more expensive. 😢
I highly recommend Charlie Red, if you enjoy 80's style tuberose at the best possible price point! It's a terrific bargain. :) I do recommend if you already enjoy fragrances like Red Door or Amarige, though it is frankly easier to wear than either. Just a lavish bowl and fruits and flowers with a dominance of old-fashioned tuberose. :) It's such a Happy scent (and also sweet) that I think it just makes people smile.
@@MyPerfumeMap Ahh, how marvelous! :) Have you also tested Bob Mackie the original? I'm told it's been watered down recently, but the scent itself is a spicy holiday treat with orange blossom and all sorts of notes - a fun floriental. I should also mention that I love the current version (a floral) of Anne Klein the OG. Very yellow bouquet, similar to Estee Lauder, if she was yellow with cloves/narcissus instead of pink with roses and carnations!
OK - you and I are doing te exact same thing, in the same way. I got my Iridescence about two months ago for $13. One of the best purchases I ever made. I have Perles bookmarked to buy next paycheck, and JUST bookmarked a Badgley Mischka fragrance 10 MINUTES AGO.
I happened to go to a discount store called "Gabe's" today and saw the Revlon Scentblendz in "Rose Apple" today, around $4.99. Then, I see you mentioned this brand in your video today. Didn't look closely, but, didn't see the "Amber Sandalwood" or I would have probably picked it up. TFS
Exclamation I loved until I had a coworker who used to smoke cigarettes over cigarettes at lunch time back in the beginning of the 2000 and she killed it for me unfortunately…😅
I did not like Adam Levine. Not as a perfume, anyways. I put it in my oil diffuser and use it as a home sent or I spray it on my bedding. I just don’t like it as a perfume. It smells really incense-y to me.

I had Exclamation from it's launch for 4 years straight (in my teens) catnip for guys !
I now have the Revlon one in my ebay cart. Sounds lovely!

I’m so sorry to hear you lost your perfumes! You might be able to find Dune on the used market, I have my eye out for it.
Fresh White Musk is my favorite white musk. It layers surprisingly well under other (pricier) perfumes, too.
Agreed!

The Adam Levine perfume is so so good! It’s spicy and to me there is a little root beer scent to it.
It really is!
I love it too
I love it too...but I don't get spices or root beer.

Topaze is something like Prince Matchabelli's Wind Song, except that its a bit gentler to the nose because it has peach in it.
I completely forgot about that adam levine fragrance, lots of great picks in this video. Hope you have a wonderful week ❤
Thank you! You too!

Topaz was sold in the 70s and 80s. I was selling Avon in 1997 and don't remember Topaz.
I believe it was rereleased in a yellow bottle. I’m not sure the age of my splash bottle.

That can happen! That happened to me with cool water.
An ex's mom did that for me with Tabu. At 45, I think I would love it if she hadn't used it after she smoked. 🙁
