hello Marie 🥰there is something i don't understand The inside is glazed with blue. Apart from the brush, 3 layers of blue glaze were made. Spectrum white glaze was applied to the mouth only twice. So how did the dark blue at the bottom come from? Is it white from above. Glazing is really a big secret
Yes, it is. The white is a floating glaze that is meant to run down the pottery, The red (blue Rutile) fires to blue. I didn't brush on the inside because I poured the glaze inside and that was thick enough. Brushing should be 3 coats.😃
Only if the glaze is too thick. If it is too thin it will not cover properly. Your glaze should be as thick as a T-Shirt on your pottery before you fire. Notice the thickness of my glaze in the video. Hope this helps.😀💙
Thank you Kiran, I know how tricky glazing can be and none of us wants glaze to run off our pottery. It took me a while before I the courage to layer my glaze. So glad it helped.💙👍
Good question. There are several reasons for that. 1 all the organic material may not have burned off your clay in the bisque fire. The darker the clay the more organic material is in it. 2 The kiln should be on a 2 to 5-minute hold so all the pottery reaches the same temperature. 3 The kiln may not be cooling down slow enough. 😀 Hope this helps💙
Thank you for a great Video. Ive finally managed to get the height in my utensil holder.
Excellent Cariad. Glad it helped! 😊 Thank you for taking the time to let me know.
Love it 😻
Thank you Michelle. 😃

My second question is, when I apply a thick glaze like you and a few layers, there are small holes and bubbles on the surface. Why is that
