I first about The Mighty Lemon Drops when I was in the Marines. Loved listening them. I had a cassette tape i played all the time. Sorry i never saw them live.
Wow! I grew up not far from the Metro and this was just before I started going to shows without my parents, in 8th/9th grade. I must have just missed this one. Damn. So many great memories of both Metro and Smart Bar, 1988-2010. Thank you. Chicago was such a wonderful city in which to come of age.
I was also at the atlanta show mentioned a few posts down. I believe it was at the Center Stage Theater in June 1988. I went to see The Church and had never heard of The Mighty Lemon Drops. Within a couple of weeks after that show, I had bought everything I could find from the Lemon Drops. I wore those cassettes out for sure! Love it thanks!
I was gifted the cd in a creative easter basket gift by my jr high bff it was the 1st compact disc I ever owned...I eventually saw them live in a small local pre Silicon Valley club I loved them to this very day...its a whole feeling reminds me of 17
@@noreenryan4878, I will totally believe you. In my mind, Love and Rockets were 'bigger' than the Metro, as an act. In my mind, though, is a rather interesting place at times, so I will bow to what is probably your better recollection.

My brother and I were at this show.

@@mymgftube I was too! My first concert!! Saw House of Love couple summers later and Pumpkins and Buffalo Tom 25 years later!!!
This was a few weeks before I saw them in Atlanta with The Church. A really memorable show for me! Great songs in this clip.
I'd pay a lot to see the church and the mighty lemon drops live back then!
The Metro is such an awesome place to see a show...intimate, tons of energy, great crowds...
This sped up version is amazing.
No bounds = My favorite Lemondrops song..
I saw them in NY during this tour. I believe Ocean Blue warmed up and they were similar. June 18th.
Cheers for this Dave,more please
I was there

Up & AWAY!!!(I CAN TAKE U)
Is this opening for Love and Rockets?
At the Metro? I doubt it.
Place is tiny, typically for bands of about this size. Awesome place to see music though.
@@cynicallydepressed1 played Metro many a time. Yeah I was just curious because that was the tour that year that I saw them
@@bassadelica couple years later saw them with Ocean Blue and John Wesley Harding opening on UWM campus! Believe it was a Sunday night...
@@cynicallydepressed1 Love and Rockets have played there.

Inside Out is too fast. I tried playing it at .75....need like a .85! Lol...Awesomely underrated band! 1990 Seattle 💯
