I'm a big supporter of anyone having a go at bringing something to the table and everything in your intro was spot on. HOWEVER my one criticism is the blurred line between 'reviewer' and colleague / hypeman within the community which begins to happen with these youtuber lines. This to me was most evident in the lack of critiques towards Navitus' first line of releases which were certainly worthy of a fair few criticisms, and it took about 8 'honest review' videos before I found someone willing to say the things no one else seemed willing to say. They've since become one of my favourite reviewers because I know I can trust their opinions to be objective. So I'd say for me personally this is my one and only issue with youtubers' fragrance lines, is that they create a kind of conflict of interest amongst people who are looked at by others as objective reviewers, in the sense that other people who may not have the ability to get their hands on some of these before purchasing look to a lot of reviewers for advice of where to spend their hard earned money essentially, and the natural desire among you guys to support each other and collaborate with each other as a community for your collective benefit, which I get 100% and would do the same. I almost feel there needs to be an independent third party review other youtubers fragrances sometimes so yeah, that's my one and only issue but not sure what the solution is tbh
There will always be the elephant in the room of association amongst the community, I think those in the community need to be more creative to make the reviews be perceived objective with no chance of perceived association that would effect impartiality in a negative way.
I understand your concerns and I agree, I'm not sure what the solution might be other than not make content on fellow creator's fragrances at all. That obviously won't happen because it would be ignoring significant releases within the niche fragrance market. Not everyone will enjoy the same style of fragrance so eventually it's inevitable that someone will talk about one (or them) unfavourably. That doesn't necessarily mean they are more honest, it just means their tastes may differ. All these "UA-camr" fragrances have been composed by the best perfumers in the world and they would not sign off a "sub-par" fragrance. All we can do as fragrance content makers is to express an honest opinon and hope that the viewers who have chosen to subscribe to us will express a degree of trust (otherwise why subscribe?) Personally I put forth my opinon and try my best to give enough information about a scent so that the viewer can make their own decision about whether it may be a fragrance that suits their personal tastes. Rest assured, if I ever think a fragrance is bad I most certainly would not be telling my viewers it is good. At the end of the day that would only reflect badly on me. I can't speak for everyone but this is how I operate and I hope you can appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time to clearly express your concerns. If only every comment was as eloquent and constructive!
@@FRAGMENTAL thanks for making great content and keep it up. Wish you guys all nothing but success and do appreciate you’re very honest which is why im a subscriber ;) One thing I would like to add though is regarding the using the best perfumers in the world aspect, to me it is a little like musicians getting beats from famous producers. Sure if you get a beat from Timbaland it’s gonna be good, well mastered etc, and definitely isn’t gonna sound like your friend ‘d love’ made it in his bedroom, but it’s unlikely you give him a cheque for 10k and you’ll have the next sexy back or try again level groundbreaking beat if you know what I mean. You know he’s saving those ones for the next massive artist album he’s invited to collaborate on. I feel this a little like when famous perfumers are enlisted on contract is that they can’t make one in a thousand bangers every single time and will no doubt be reaching into their tried and true bag of tricks to produce something of quality if not necessarily groundbreaking. So that’s a bit of a bugbear I have with the whole setup because I know I don’t have 1000 of timbalands inmemorable songs on my playlists, only some of the bangers if you know what I mean. And those ones I don’t have aren’t attributed some higher value because he produced them, they simply weren’t amazing or fresh enough to stand the test of time. I think it's possible to have a fragrance line and still remain impartial and honest when it comes to reviewing other fragrances. It takes a while (sometimes years) before a channel becomes eligible for monetization. Up until that point most channels are operating at a significant loss. Stoked to have Antonio watch the vid! 🙂

If you want to know what Victorian Tobacco smells like on skin, go out and buy a can of Copenhagen Chew and smear it all over you. All jokes aside they are all pretty solid. The only ones i wouldnt buy are the Tobacco (I used to chew tobacco and it literally makes me sick to my stomach to smell it) and Dusk to Dawn. Dusk to Dawn doesn't necessarily smell bad but it's pretty earthy on my skin. Like a musky, minty, vetiver smell. Not my taste unfortunately. Kognac Cafe is by far my favorite.
Love the intro, but its not free, theres ad content and sponsors, so your not doing them for free, but you do give up alot of time and effort and we appreciate that 👍
Well when you balance out time spent against ad sense revenue it's well below minimum wage. It takes time (sometimes years) for a channel to become eligible to monetise so that's a lot of free content given. Also I don't have sponsors other than press bottles sent for review. UA-cam is not the way forward if you want to run a lucrative business when making money is the main objective.

I think these UA-camr fragrances need to be tested on the public as they get hyped by people that know them or have been given them for free (I trust you Chris but some I don’t) and UA-cam frag heads will be used to these notes whereas I don’t know if some of these will be well received by the general public and generally we want people around us to like them as well. @@MrHahaveryhappy I was thinking the same, but I threw all 7 in a cart just to see the damage, and with all the preorder deals, it turned to like 650 bucks. Which is like 90 a pop.
I said fuck it and splurged
Intro = Gold lol
I thought I'd beat the trolls to it 😁
Missed the point to me as he didn't actually address any of the issues on why people actually give backlash lol
I am sure they will be good I was going to buy some problem is the shipping $50 to ship to the uk that is taking the piss also when you ask him a question he never answers any questions from anybody who does he think he is would be nice to get a comment now and then
He answers plenty on his Facebook group. Too many comments to respond to people on UA-cam.
Your right $50 shipping is a joke, especially when navitus charge $22.99
@@jacobbridges5143 yes I do understand that on youtube the shipping is a joke he knows it he is taking the piss end off
@@kelly182237 dunno man....probably is just getting charged extra for thorough packaging?
@@jacobbridges5143 do you think that no it is total bs
Ashton I want my discovery set what's up with a hook up man.
That intro was amazing! 👏👏👏
They do sound really good, but from Ashton wouldn't expect anything less. Good first impressions mate
Cheers Jon. As you like your Kilian look out for Cognac Cafe!
@@FRAGMENTAL I will do mate 🙂 thank you. Really buzzing for Ashton and actually yours when we get it 😜
Looking forward to a sample set of these, to work out which to grab
Yuzu from Acqua di Parma is another yuzu based fragrance. Recommend to try that one.
Haha that intro 😁😁😁 cognac and coffe sounds very nice
The bottles remind me a bit of Manceras’
I thought the same!
But not as close to Manceras as Navitus are to Rojas.
Good video mate, look forward to trying some of these 👍 Dream woods sounds very nice - Nik
It's great. None of them are overly complex, all super wearable
Well said.👍
Great first impression and it definitely looks like an interesting line 👍🏻
Panty droppers. Every single one 😁
Great impressions Chris. Nearly at 40K yourself! I think you deserve a present. 😉 I hope Ash agrees. 😄
Maybe 😁
@@FRAGMENTAL Now now, don't be modest... After all, how DARE you get an early Christmas gift from a friend for years of dedication, diligence, hard work and community support. 🤣 Not to mention pioneering a podcast? Shame on you.
@@justaddlight 😄
i assumed shades of seduction was going to be a night party scent when you said lucas sieuzac created - he did 212 vip men!
Thanks for saying it like it is Chris 👍🤜 people keep constantly putting down youtubers. As if they wouldn’t jump on this train themselves if offered the chance. Keyboard warriors 😑.
Yes it's a shame some people react this way.
Nice first impression. 👌
I picked uped a bottle of Victorian tobacco
I've since given it a full wearing. It just lasts and lasts!
@@FRAGMENTAL that's good to hear I love tobacco fragrances so I had to get it
Ashton said these are all extract de Parfum.
They all sound great 👌👌
They really are. Ash and the perfumers did a great job!
I thought I let you Frag-Mental I'm making my own fragrances and I really hope you enjoy them 🙂
Acqua di Parma also have a nice yuzu scent
I'm just having a cup of Irish Coffee and thinking about this episode, hahaha...
Different music I love it!
If he can make samples to send to everyone on u-tube fragrances community" then how is it they can't make samples to sell on there website to sell to the consumer???? Instead of spending niche money price's blind buying.
That's some bullshit bro, not gonna spend niche money on some fragrances you don't ever know if you will like it, wtf 😅
@@mensspace9519 pretty much every u-tube fragrances reviewer who's put out a fragrance so far ! Lol. No one knows how to price budget friendly and yes I know ingredients cost but I OWN a bunch of designer's fragrances that have quality ingredients and niche quality for much less so that's no excuse. Lol. But wait awhile like navitus parfum fragrances you'll see they'll be half the price eventually.
@@franksalas5507 - it must cost a lot to hire the perfumers though? Unless they just take a percentage of the sale price?
@@Daveyengland of course there's a percentage already taken off the top and it's not by accident that it's always the same perfumers!
Ashton. Does. Not. Set. The. Price. That's done by his investor. (The Navitas people) Ash doesn't control the price or when samples get released.
I'm trying dusk till dawn first!
Awesome video!!!!!
Thanks 👍🏻
intense intro lol, would be good to see a review of your three favourites once you have had the chance to wear them properly for a week. I like how you did your first impressions, straight to the the point.
Its a pity Aston has not got a discovery set ready to purchase yet to me this seems like a no brainer.
It's a know from me,they all can't be unique, iam sure you were told not to compare them to other frags, because people would say,I have something in my collection that smells like that, they are completely overpriced aswell, he's no jeremy.
What do you mean he is no heremy
Brilliant
I think these UA-camr fragrances need to be tested on the public as they get hyped by people that know them or have been given them for free (I trust you Chris but some I don’t) and UA-cam frag heads will be used to these notes whereas I don’t know if some of these will be well received by the general public and generally we want people around us to like them as well. Would be good to see your better half’s opinion or your sisters so we can get a female perspective
Kinda hard to test on the public these days mate...
I totally understand where you're coming from. Hopefully I can get some family member's opinions on them soon.

Chris, you should be an actor.
The bottle looks nice 👌
Agreed
How dare you for taking this long to give us an update for your fragrance colab with ATH! Give me hope as of when 🥺
I've got them all on the way 😁
How much did you pay total
@@mrfragranceparis Forgot but about £70 each as it's 55% off for all 7
@@dean3302 you talk in pounds so I guess you're in the uk. You must have paid high price for shipping + import tax as well?
@@mrfragranceparis No. The shipping was free as part of the deal for buying all seven as well as the 55% off. I'm hoping to avoid any import tax which is always a gamble in the UK. I've had many items come from places like China without any additional cost and I have had one at least that I had to pay a tariff to the delivery company.
@@mrfragranceparis also I'm not sure if they're being shipped from the US as the website has a company address based in Dubai.
Tell that to all the Jeremy haters. People hating on success.

People moaning about Jeremy over-pricing Office scent, yet this guy prices it at over $200.
