I must say, I'm ashamed I found out about this game just recently. I used to play the Total War series, but I have to say, that even being quite old, this game has something that the Total War doesn't.
I got this along with a hackpack from some vendor in Kosovo while deployed there. That was over 6 years ago. I have kept playing it off and on since. I will never get rid of it. I could not join any net multiplayer servers and I did not know they had a world version or the triple package. I would definately buy it! I have even played this on hard and from Armenia.....the revolts and "no heirs" were a apain but I took it all the way to a full map conquest. I learned this much.....the knight closest to the left inherits-takes over when no heirs. Keep all the royals to the left and move the new hirelings to the right or you may find a spy handing over your empire to a foreign power! retake it quick after any revolts and you can rebuild in no time at all. Want this full set sooo bad! And the intro logo...insane and it ROCKS! I want to use it for a personal page Soooo bad!
+Howard Homan multiplayer in this game was a battlefield with armies(the one that no one did because the AI would always do it better). so , you didnt miss much
Thank you sir. I still would have liked the competition in PvP and I have learned one other thing. So many other games try to do the politics thing but could use the one from here, like March of History, for example. The lineage factor here was short and simple. Like in the game 1400(did I recall that right?) Anyway, I suppose people have CoK2 now and get their fill. Still, I will keep this game, KoH until my old PC crashes and du.PS it! It was a lucky. Find.

i didnt know when i played it as a kid but the composer of this music is bulgarian(as am i). makes me appreciate it EVEN MORE. what a godly masterpiece this whole soundtrack is... bro... they dont make them as they used to. even KoH 2 wont have borislav again... sad times
No need to fear everyone! Knights of Honor 2 has been announced, this is not fake news. Check out Black Sea Games' Facebook as they have uploaded a screenshot and my god it looks beautiful.
The rights on KoH are lost somehow, since Crytek bought Sunflowers Studios. However, i think the best way to resurrect this game is like Lewin and Krom did it on Knights of Merchants - rewrite the complete games engine and charge no money for it, not to get problems with the copyright law. In that situation you have to hope on Donations....
Well i think there are many fans that would gladly pay for a game like Knights of Honor. Even if it's fanmade,if it's good i dont mind spending money on it.

@Avatarcho96 Agreed. Archers, and a knight who has the archer experience power and the fire arrows power, coupled with ballistae. Literally cannot be beaten, even by the heaviest of cavalry armies.
there are two kinds of strategy video gamers. those who play starcraft, age of empires, empire earth and such stuff. and those who have brains to play Knights of Honor. personally, i'm starcraft fan but this game is still very different and really best one in the history of strattegy games.

@MikeyMage No i wouldnt say that Crusader Kings is anything alike koh... It is much, much, much more complexed... I can play it but i didnt understod it fully yet,,,
