Artist Talk: Tom Berenz and Lindsay Larsen

Artist talks by Tom Berenz and Lindsey Larsen at Bedford Hall in the RITA.
Each artist will give a brief talk about their work and then we will open it up for questions from the audience.
Tom Berenz, an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at Parkside, abstracts figures from contemporary cartoons, pop art, and pop culture, reworking them into acrylic on canvas paintings informed by cubism and 20th-century masters. Berenz exhibits internationally, with recent exhibitions in South Africa, Korea, Los Angeles, Taiwan, Australia, and Denmark. He has been featured in multiple publications, notably, New American Paintings and The Huffington Post. He was a Mary Nohl Fellow in 2017. His work is in many public collections -among them, The Museum of Wisconsin Art, Northwestern Mutual, and the University of Oklahoma.
Lindsey Larsen is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, Photography, and Printmaking at UW Parkside. Based in Milwaukee, she is also co-founder of WHAT-THAT, a collective graphic arts studio.
