Place is epic. We really wanted to buy this property, but the house was a bit small with two kids. Looking forward to following what you do with this place! Amazing established bush and trails surrounding the property. Love the stream!
Hello, glad you got to see the place before I started on it! You made the right decision; the cabin is tiny and an epic amount of work to do around the place (and I’m not just saying that because I was lucky/mad enough to buy it 🤣). Truly though, it’s a stunning location and I’m privileged to be able to look after and nurture it. And you’re right, the stream is just something else……
You sound like the new David Attenborough I was expecting wildlife to pop out of the bushes somewhere so looking forward to watching this epic adventure... you go DAN....
🤣 thanks. I’m sure there’s some interesting beasts out there lurking in the bushes. I hear a rumour of some ferral sheep, which will feature in a video if I can find them…….
Hi Jim, thanks for viewing. The section/plot has been marked by a surveyor and has a historic perimeter stock fence as it borders a regional park. There’s still parts of the section I have got to yet!
i think you can grow to a very nice channel.
it is very relaxing and intresting to watch.
you probably pretty soon get to the 1000 subs.
Thanks so much for the kind words, much appreciated.

very nice to know where about this place is.
it is more like lord of the rings country.
@@johanv4668 that's because it is LoR country! North Island of NZ.
Those giant ferns are so beautiful. I wish they would grow in my country.
They are quite spectacular tree ferns, and quite common in NZ.
Go Dan. The start of another awesome project!
Thanks. This one’s a HUGE project.
Wow Dan!! .... that was an awesome tour..... Nice videography skills...... :) Good Luck with your adventure!
Thanks! My skills need a bit of polishing but luckily there are loads of projects coming up next year to give me that opportunity.
Wow most interesting, living the dream and why not. 👍
Absolutely! I have to pinch myself when I think how lucky I am to be here. 🙏
Out back of Maungaraki I see. Bordering Belmont park. My Favourite tracks in Wellington. Lucky man.
👍 great tracks in the area aren't they.
Beautiful block of land you have there. We are pretty much doing the same thing. Fantastic to see !
Yes it is beautiful; I feel very privileged to be able to live here. Just checked out your channel, looks like you’ve got some great projects there.
What part of NZ is that I'm here in North Shore, Auckland.
👋 from Wellington! I was up your way last week picking up a table saw for the workshop I haven’t built yet! 🤣😂🤣
@@danwaterson356 Must of been a good buy to go all the way for a table saw!!!
I’d forgotten just how long the drive is!
It was a good deal on a SawStop but wanted to transport it myself so nothing got damaged/lost. 👍
Hydroelectric would be good
I agree, although think I'd need Council consent which complicates matters. It's something I plan on looking into.
Hi Dan 😊 I’m catching up on your content, how do You know your boundaries of your plot?

Lovely but where is it?
Not to far from Wellington, New Zealand.
@@danwaterson356 Ok thanks, I thought it was due to the amount of tree ferns but I could not find the bit where you said where you were based.
