This is actually from early 1987. The snow fell in big flakes that morning, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. I was in 7th grade at Bradley at the time, and I was disappointed that school wasn't cancelled.
@@jeffwaller8499 Yeah I'll never forget that day. Snowed like hell in the morning and the bastards at my elementary school wouldn't let us go play in it and said we could at lunch, to which we all protested it would be melted at lunch. Which it was. Still pisses me off 36 years later haha.
@@Dobad415 85 we had more than a foot and it stuck around for like 2 days if I remember right. This was 87. You can tell this newscast is from 87 because they're talking about Alvin Roberston's second year in a row starting the NBA All Star game at around the 18:10 mark.
OMG, thank you for bringing back my early childhood! My household was a KSAT AND KMOL family so we definitely knew who Lori Tucker and Alan Hemberger were and watched them on TV, same with Debora Daniels and Bob Salter at KSAT-12. I think had you kept the musical intro in the video you'd have reduced me to tears.
I had such a teen crush on Lori Tucker starting at age 13 I remember waking up early to see her do the early morning news cast. I think my crush lasted to early adulthood. Oh my I forgot about Dr Red Duke.
I remember that day. I was working at the San Antonio Airport at Nayak Aviation. I almost crashed in to the Shuttle Bus, upon my arrival to work that day! I can laugh about it now 🤣
Hey George, my name is Victor Iseler. I'm from San Antonio TX. But was adopted and moved to northern Michigan in 97. I'm looking for a story in from San Antonio from 88 to 89. On Delaware st. There was a house fire. 3 of my siblings died in it. My brother Michael, sisters Anastasia or Stacey. And viola Escamilla. They were all 4 years of age and younger. Have u heard anything about this story? BTW. After 32 years just found biological mother, and other biological family members.
A New Jersey native who loved the Boston red Sox, Alan was found dead in his home in October 2013. Apparently he had been watching a cable sports channel when he died. For a time in the 1980s, he was a Hollywood broadcast reporter for Entertainment Tonight. In the late 1980s he was the popular evening anchorman on Houston television news programs, a position he held for almost 20 years.

I was 9 years old, but 5 hours east of San Antonio (in Beaumont, Texas). I remember that short time snow. It came to Beaumont too around that same time. By PE class/Recess time, it was all gone. It looked like it rained. LOL! Snow doesn't last too long in Texas.
Yes remember woke up with flu like symptoms scheduled to work that day called my boss threatened to fire me if didn't come in probably thought wanted to enjoy snow anyway he didn't after all😁.... remember it melted later in the afternoon 🤔.
Born in 1987 I didn’t see snow until it snowed in late 2010 😅
Ah, 1985. I was 5, but I remember waking up to a Winter Wonderland that day!
I do not think that was ‘85. That looks like the snow we got in ‘83
