Do you use a primer as well and if so which one. I e been trying different primers I see this not sure I am liking primer under. Love the foundation though. I’m from the states and am going to stock up next time I’m in UK
@@themusetrap yes I have to use primer. I do step by step. Toner, then Protect and perfect intense eye cream does wonders on my eye area not even a wrinkle. Then the serum same range. Moisturizer, then the primer which is ehemm i have to be honest here it's clinique because it's unscented and it's great under. Then the foundation on here as mentioned. I finish with loose powder . All of those equals Photoshop irl look lol worth it. And All of the above have no scent I love it I can breathe easily. And they work wonders. It's mid-range price not cheap not expensive which makes me happy 😁.

About the Vitamin C issue. Acids as you know are tough on the skin. They can disrupt the skin's barrier function. If your skin is dry AND acneic, both suggest the barrier function is compromised: your skin isn't holding moisture in, and something is getting inside that your skin is reacting to (hence the acne). Have you tried using oil cleansing and no topical acids for a couple of weeks? Stop everything that might be drying, and try to hydrate and seal in moisture with essential fatty acids and skin-identical ingredients like ceramides. BTW: there are oily forms of Vitamin C. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate might work for you without being too acidic. I know you know all this stuff, but sometimes we just forget.

Wow. Just wow. Thank you for finding my holy grail foundation. I am 57 and this is by far the best foundation I have ever come across. No lines, lasts for ages and looks fab all day. The only thing that I had to moan about was the fact it took me 5x sample pots to find the right shade. Apparently my neutral to warm toned skin matches perfectly their Cool Ivory. Strange but true. Warm ivory will be just right for summer as I tan easily.
I bought this foundation 10 months ago after watching your review. I’ve bought the newer perfect and protect foundation in the summer when I needed a slightly darker colour but Hydroluminous in definitely my favourite. It does everything you said it would and suits my skin which has a lot more lines than you do. Great review, great channel.

Have now tried the hydraluminous for a full day and am super happy with it! Well worth the spend! I am a die hard Estée Lauder Double Wear gal, for at least 10 years! So to lure me away has to be a real hard sell! Tried the Laura Mercier Radiance foundation and was sadly disappointed, although this could have been due to cerave moisturiser or the wrong shade (bought online, always tricky)! Either way, the No7 HydraLuminous is a real game changer, light; moisturising and natural looking without sinking into wrinkles and lines! Thank you, thank you - I would not have taken the plunge without your tutorial!, xx

Just tried this for the first time today. CYO Lifeproof has been my HG for the last year, but I think I this could actually be better. I’ve got an oily T Zone but this held up amazingly well set with powder. Thanks so much for the tip!
I put this foundation on and then i watched this video. I also have slightly dry and dehydrated skin and this foundation looks amazing. The colour I chose is Warm Ivory and it is this closest match to my skin I've ever found in my 20 years of wearing foundation! I was surprised to learn that Pampered Wolf feels the same about the colour she chose - that rarely happens! The shade I chose really is a perfect match. Totally agree with this review.

I finally got the chance to use this while visiting London last week. It is exactly the way you describe it. I love it. I have mature combo medium neutral skin and the color (deeply ivory) is perfect. Kicking myself for not buying more. I hope it comes to the US!
I just found your channel and love how thorough you are. I am 49 with dry skin. I have been adding oil to my Arbone foundation to get lighter coverage. This helps since I am dry and find that any powered and foundation combination leaves my skin dehydrated and looking horrid. This look great and I can't wait for it to hit the US. This sounds and looks like it may be very similar to the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation!!! Have you tried that one to be able to compare? I love the Pro-Glow, but feel like I need to try this one and the new No7 Protect and Perfect All In One. Which do you like better, Hydraluminous or Protect and Perfect?
On your recommendation, I took myself off to Boots and was really pleased to find that the HydraLuminous Foundation was on special offer for £10 instead of the usual £15!!! Hi Jemma! Please consider showing us close-ups of how the foundation sits on the skin after application and giving us a description (eg. does it dry down, remain tacky). Everyone is going to have slightly different issues and close-ups allow us to see them for ourselves, particularly if you don't address them. Thanks so much! I live in Brisbane and we don’t get No 7 products over here🙁 but I am originally from Pogmoor, Barnsley and will be coming back home to England to live when hubby retires in a few years. In the meantime I will have to make do and be patient. I really enjoy your channel and have bought the Bare Minerals Oil Obsessed cleanser after you recommenced it and I absolutely love it. I recently treated myself to the Revitalash Advanced after seeing your review (menopause means you can grow a lovely soft beard but your eyelashes disappear😃) I am pleased and relieved to report that my eyelashes are looking longer and thicker already, after applying it for 3 and a half weeks. Just wanted to give you a heads up about your Vitamin C issue. You said you do use niacinamide. When you use Vitamin C and Niavinamide together some people will experience and flushing, hot, tingling feeling in the skin. Not everyone experiences this sensitivity but it seems like you're one of them. If you want to try your Vitamin C again (I think you should) use it in the morning right after washing your face. Use the Niacinamide during your night time routine. That should prevent you from feeling the effects of the chemical reaction between the two ingredients.
Hi Andrea, I’ve been having issues with vitamin c long before I started using niacinamide, plus I used niacinamide in the morning and vitamin c in the evening which shouldn’t cause a reaction. I got no tingling or redness, just blackheads and breakouts. Thank you for the info though. It’s always helpful xxx
I already use a retinol. I wouldn't be without it EVER! Haha. A bit of overkill on the antioxidants I know....but I don't think you can ever have too much of a good thing xxx
Drug store products have really bumped up their game! I absolutely love C.Y.O foundation you suggested. It's my new absolute favorite. I prefer it to Estee lauder double wear, or any of the higher end foundations. Also as far as vitamin c products so far the only one my skin seems to like is by asterwood naturals, it's the Matrixyl 3000, argireline, vitamin c anti aging serum with hyaluronic acid. It's watery, but works great. Also do you use a setting spray over powders? It helps them sink in. I love skindinavia, it's my favorite. Helps with longevity of foundation as well. As always keep up the great work!

I've bought this foundation 10 days ago and I have been using it every day since. I love it, it makes my skin look healthy and natural. It has enough coverage and after 14 hours of wear it doesn't look bad at all! Just in love with it!

Kari Tacoma - I had no idea they had those machines at Walgreens. The reason why I never use foundation is that I can't find a good match for my pale skin -and wasted too much money in useless products- but I'd love to try this one. :)

Waiting for it from Ulta as I'd recently ordered loads of goodies since I was mailed an excellent coupon to order or use in store. I'm excited about using it! Before I needed mattifying creams & foundations, but now that my skin is maturing albeit at a good slow rate due to my skin care, I need hydrating foundations & serums. I'm sorry! The NO 7 I had to order from the UK boots.com, not Ulta! Ulta is the new IT Foundation I ordered. It cost 15lbs UK as 5.00 of that was shipping. But I know it is worth the wait. The Ulta products are going to be fun too with my discount coupon and the different products I ordered for 50% off the two days in March so far they have specials. Do you think you will wear this for your everyday type base? It does look very nice. Also, have you tried the Tart Shape Tape concealer? I caved to the hype and got it about 2 weeks ago. It's tricky to work with, I was wondering your thoughts on it.
I would wear this everyday. It's a lovely natural looking foundation. I haven't tried the Tarte Shape Tape yet. But now the Loreal concealer is a few weeks old I'm having real issues with it xxx
@@PamperedWolf I find that with the Shape Tape I have to moisturize more than normal and use it very sparingly. That might work with the Loreal concealer too.
Will have to check this out..in Canada we tend to get No 7 products fairly quickly when they come out..do you think this would be good for mature skin?
I really like this one. I’m slightly drier as i have been using the drunk elephant retinol and i thought this was moisturizing and it did last a full day on me too. I think this is a good mature skin one. It didn’t settle into any lines, i thought i looked fresh and I definitely felt that i was having a good skin day. Decent coverage as well. I also have picked up a new maybelline one called Dream Urban defense with SPF 50. Really similar to IT cosmetics Cc..its a thinner formula but good medium coverage, and also lasted a full day on me.. I think this one is only in Europe at the moment. I use adifferent number 7 foundation but decided to try this one today bought it along with the concealer and put it on and love it so far so good will see how it goes over next few days. Also it's only £10 atm but think the offer is only on for weekend. Full coverage foundation doesn't sit well on my skin can't wear it so this is great Great video x
Stumbled across this whilst ooking for reviews of this foundation online. Superb video, tells me everything I'd want to know and your presentation is so natural. I like that your makeup is very natural too as that's how I like to do mine so I know that the way you apply yours and the end result will be similar to me. I like to watch Lisa Eldridge's videos for tips, and I think you are very similar in the quality of your videos. I have just purchased this in calico, purely on the strength of how it looked on the No7 assistant instore, and on her advice, so its great to see her info is backed up here. I'm 51, menopausal and struggling with keeping foundation on as I get hot flushes and my face sweats :-( The assistant was older than me, with more lines, but I had already noticed how good her makeup looked... it had not settled into any lines, or caked, and she looked pore-free and dewy but not oily. So I asked her what she was wearing and she showed me this. She did say that it is long-wear, but as you say, it doesn't claim that on the packaging. Maybe that was her personal experience. I explained my problems with foundation to her, and she recommended this over a good primer. Can I ask if you used a primer before applying for this video? Or did it last that long without one? By the way, this foundation is on special offer in boots at the moment for only £10, so it's a really good time to try it out. Thanks again for the video, I've subscribed!
Hi Gill....Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack. Both my mum and I didn't wear this over a primer. My mum is 66./ It lasted all day, didn't settle in lines, and also didn't transfer onto everything we touched which is always a positive xxx

Hi....just got a tester pot from Boots and they chose Cool Vanilla for me. I use bare minerals also but fancied a change. If you are not confident in choosing colours then I did find Boots No 7 representatives extremely helpful. Thanks Gemma for pointing me in the direction of this product..🤗

I like both. The CYO is better value per ml, but the No7 has great antioxidant ingredients and is more hydrating on the skin. They both look more or less the same on the skin, but the No7 doesn't oxidise xxx

You look fabulous (as always!) and I’m keen to at least get a sample of this. The consultant at the counter was teasing me with it before it launched (and I was buying some L’Oréal products you’d reviewed 😀) My issue with No 7 foundations has always been that they always seem quite pink in the undertone which although I look like I’m cool skin tone, I’m actually quite warm and I can’t get the right shade 😏. Did you find the colours were varied Gemma?
I found the shades a mixture of cool warm and neutral. The shade calico is more on the neutral pink side which is not what I usually go for but it looks lovely. xxx

Is Calico the lightest shade? I love the foundation, and have Cool Vanilla. It was very difficult online to tell which shade was light and which wasn't. The Cool Vanilla is a tiny bit too dark for me. You look amazing !!!

Bought the warm Ivory shade. Once again thumbs up to the boots number seven laboratories you can tell they have really worked on the consistency of this new foundation. It’s really good natural look. I recommend boots number seven products for mid-range. they are just as good as some of the high-end products. Tip to get all the foundation out .cut tube and used 1/2 teaspoon to scope from the sides of the tube into an old moisturising pot with a lid
I am always envious of how gorgeous you look with minimal makeup. I haven't worn No7 products from I was a teenager and it seems (according to other youtubers) Boots have really stepped up to the mark. I'm certainly interested in giving this ago. I'm currently wearing a combo of Clarins long lasting foundation mixed with CYO. Have you tried any of the no7 setting powders Gemma, both loose & pressed? xx
Hi Gemma, great foundation review. I've been using No. 7 eye products and face serums for the past maybe month or 2. I use to have discoloration under my eyes so I would wear a concealer. Guess what? For the first time in years I don't have any discoloration under my eyes at all. I'm not sure if it's all because of using the No. 7, but I've tried a lot of different eye creams and never really had any positive results but I will tell you that I also us Cereve eye repair cream. I've been using the Cereve eye cream for months. Is like to try the foundation but I don't wear foundation that often at all probably due to the fact that I haven't found or tried one that suits me. Just tried this for the first time today. CYO Lifeproof has been my HG for the last year, but I think I this could actually be better. I’ve got an oily T Zone but this held up amazingly well set with powder. Thanks so much for the tip!
I put this foundation on and then i watched this video. I also have slightly dry and dehydrated skin and this foundation looks amazing. The colour I chose is Warm Ivory and it is this closest match to my skin I've ever found in my 20 years of wearing foundation! I was surprised to learn that Pampered Wolf feels the same about the colour she chose - that rarely happens! The shade I chose really is a perfect match. Totally agree with this review.

After watching your very accurate report on L’Oreal True Match, I went straight out and bought this. Right again! This is lovely - comfortable, moisturising, not too glowy. It does everything the dry and powdery L’Oreal one failed to do. Thank you.

I finally got the chance to use this while visiting London last week. It is exactly the way you describe it. I love it. I have mature combo medium neutral skin and the color (deeply ivory) is perfect. Kicking myself for not buying more. I hope it comes to the US!
I just found your channel and love how thorough you are. I am 49 with dry skin. I have been adding oil to my Arbone foundation to get lighter coverage. This helps since I am dry and find that any powered and foundation combination leaves my skin dehydrated and looking horrid. This look great and I can't wait for it to hit the US. I also watched your under eye concealer video you did with your mom! You two are so cute! Thanks for the great content!

This sounds and looks like it may be very similar to the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation!!! Have you tried that one to be able to compare? I love the Pro-Glow, but feel like I need to try this one and the new No7 Protect and Perfect All In One. Which do you like better, Hydraluminous or Protect and Perfect?
On your recommendation, I took myself off to Boots and was really pleased to find that the HydraLuminous Foundation was on special offer for £10 instead of the usual £15!!! For anyone thinking of giving it a go, now might be a good time! I only hope mine looks half as nice as yours! Hi Jemma! Please consider showing us close-ups of how the foundation sits on the skin after application and giving us a description (eg. does it dry down, remain tacky). Everyone is going to have slightly different issues and close-ups allow us to see them for ourselves, particularly if you don't address them. Thanks so much! BTW, you might consider MaeLove for Vit C, they've got a calming serum that helps sensitive skin. :)

Your makeup always looks good but this foundation looks really lovely on you. I live in Brisbane and we don’t get No 7 products over here🙁 but I am originally from Pogmoor, Barnsley and will be coming back home to England to live when hubby retires in a few years. In the meantime I will have to make do and be patient. I really enjoy your channel and have bought the Bare Minerals Oil Obsessed cleanser after you recommenced it and I absolutely love it. I recently treated myself to the Revitalash Advanced after seeing your review (menopause means you can grow a lovely soft beard but your eyelashes disappear😃) I am pleased and relieved to report that my eyelashes are looking longer and thicker already, after applying it for 3 and a half weeks. Thanks for the advice and tips and I love your accent, I always feel a little bit homesick after listening - but in a good way😃xx

This is the nicest face I’ve seen on you yet. Gorgeously natural coverage, lovely blusher too. It really does look like skin.
Just wanted to give you a heads up about your Vitamin C issue. You said you do use niacinamide. When you use Vitamin C and Niavinamide together some people will experience and flushing, hot, tingling feeling in the skin. Not everyone experiences this sensitivity but it seems like you're one of them. If you want to try your Vitamin C again (I think you should) use it in the morning right after washing your face. Use the Niacinamide during your night time routine. That should prevent you from feeling the effects of the chemical reaction between the two ingredients.
Hi Andrea, I’ve been having issues with vitamin c long before I started using niacinamide, plus I used niacinamide in the morning and vitamin c in the evening which shouldn’t cause a reaction. I got no tingling or redness, just blackheads and breakouts.

I already use a retinol. I wouldn't be without it EVER! Haha. A bit of overkill on the antioxidants I know....but I don't think you can ever have too much of a good thing xxx
Drug store products have really bumped up their game! I absolutely love C.Y.O foundation you suggested. It's my new absolute favorite. I prefer it to Estee lauder double wear, or any of the higher end foundations. Also as far as vitamin c products so far the only one my skin seems to like is by asterwood naturals, it's the Matrixyl 3000, argireline, vitamin c anti aging serum with hyaluronic acid. It's watery, but works great. Also do you use a setting spray over powders? It helps them sink in. I love skindinavia, it's my favorite. Helps with longevity of foundation as well. As always keep up the great work!

I've bought this foundation 10 days ago and I have been using it every day since. I love it, it makes my skin look healthy and natural. It has enough coverage and after 14 hours of wear it doesn't look bad at all! Just in love with it!

I love No7! I’m so excited to watch this. I have their Beautifully Matte foundation and I love it. The color’s great on me because a Walgreens employee used a No7 foundation match machine on me.
Kari Tacoma - I had no idea they had those machines at Walgreens. The reason why I never use foundation is that I can't find a good match for my pale skin -and wasted too much money in useless products- but I'd love to try this one. :)

Waiting for it from Ulta as I'd recently ordered loads of goodies since I was mailed an excellent coupon to order or use in store. I'm excited about using it! Before I needed mattifying creams & foundations, but now that my skin is maturing albeit at a good slow rate due to my skin care, I need hydrating foundations & serums. I'm sorry! The NO 7 I had to order from the UK boots.com, not Ulta! Ulta is the new IT Foundation I ordered. It cost 15lbs UK as 5.00 of that was shipping. But I know it is worth the wait. The Ulta products are going to be fun too with my discount coupon and the different products I ordered for 50% off the two days in March so far they have specials. Those specials go from to the 23rd and are daily specials. Sorry for the confusion! 🤗❤xx
Do you think you will wear this for your everyday type base? It does look very nice. Also, have you tried the Tart Shape Tape concealer? I caved to the hype and got it about 2 weeks ago. It's tricky to work with, I was wondering your thoughts on it.
I would wear this everyday. It's a lovely natural looking foundation. I haven't tried the Tarte Shape Tape yet. But now the Loreal concealer is a few weeks old I'm having real issues with it xxx
@@PamperedWolf I find that with the Shape Tape I have to moisturize more than normal and use it very sparingly. That might work with the Loreal concealer too.
Will have to check this out..in Canada we tend to get No 7 products fairly quickly when they come out..do you think this would be good for mature skin?

I really like this one. I’m slightly drier as i have been using the drunk elephant retinol and i thought this was moisturizing and it did last a full day on me too. I think this is a good mature skin one. It didn’t settle into any lines, i thought i looked fresh and I definitely felt that i was having a good skin day. Decent coverage as well. I also have picked up a new maybelline one called Dream Urban defense with SPF 50. Really similar to IT cosmetics Cc..its a thinner formula but good medium coverage, and also lasted a full day on me.. I think this one is only in Europe at the moment. I use adifferent number 7 foundation but decided to try this one today bought it along with the concealer and put it on and love it so far so good will see how it goes over next few days. Also it's only £10 atm but think the offer is only on for weekend. Full coverage foundation doesn't sit well on my skin can't wear it so this is great Great video x
Stumbled across this whilst ooking for reviews of this foundation online. Superb video, tells me everything I'd want to know and your presentation is so natural. I like that your makeup is very natural too as that's how I like to do mine so I know that the way you apply yours and the end result will be similar to me. I like to watch Lisa Eldridge's videos for tips, and I think you are very similar in the quality of your videos.
I have just purchased this in calico, purely on the strength of how it looked on the No7 assistant instore, and on her advice, so its great to see her info is backed up here. I'm 51, menopausal and struggling with keeping foundation on as I get hot flushes and my face sweats :-( The assistant was older than me, with more lines, but I had already noticed how good her makeup looked... it had not settled into any lines, or caked, and she looked pore-free and dewy but not oily. So I asked her what she was wearing and she showed me this. She did say that it is long-wear, but as you say, it doesn't claim that on the packaging. Maybe that was her personal experience.
I explained my problems with foundation to her, and she recommended this over a good primer. Can I ask if you used a primer before applying for this video? Or did it last that long without one?
By the way, this foundation is on special offer in boots at the moment for only £10, so it's a really good time to try it out. Thanks again for the video, I've subscribed!
Hi Gill....Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack. Both my mum and I didn't wear this over a primer. My mum is 66./ It lasted all day, didn't settle in lines, and also didn't transfer onto everything we touched which is always a positive xxx

Hi....just got a tester pot from Boots and they chose Cool Vanilla for me. I use bare minerals also but fancied a change. If you are not confident in choosing colours then I did find Boots No 7 representatives extremely helpful. Thanks Gemma for pointing me in the direction of this product..🤗

I thought you might like to try the Maybaline lash serum. I alternate with the same lash serum you use and truly like the results.
Have oil to combination skin ,I put it on with my fingers ,gives me more fuller coverage than what s brush will ...lovely make up am no7 forever fan ,will not buy any other now ,my definitely go to ...

I like both. The CYO is better value per ml, but the No7 has great antioxidant ingredients and is more hydrating on the skin. They both look more or less the same on the skin, but the No7 doesn't oxidise xxx

You look fabulous (as always!) and I’m keen to at least get a sample of this. The consultant at the counter was teasing me with it before it launched (and I was buying some L’Oréal products you’d reviewed 😀) My issue with No 7 foundations has always been that they always seem quite pink in the undertone which although I look like I’m cool skin tone, I’m actually quite warm and I can’t get the right shade 😏. Did you find the colours were varied Gemma?
I found the shades a mixture of cool warm and neutral. The shade calico is more on the neutral pink side which is not what I usually go for but it looks lovely. xxx

I don't see why not Sarah. Get a sample in store and try it out. Without seeing your skin I won't be able to tell for sure. It's worth trying though.

Is Calico the lightest shade? I love the foundation, and have Cool Vanilla. It was very difficult online to tell which shade was light and which wasn't. The Cool Vanilla is a tiny bit too dark for me. You look amazing !!!

Bought the warm Ivory shade. Once again thumbs up to the boots number seven laboratories you can tell they have really worked on the consistency of this new foundation. It’s really good natural look. I recommend boots number seven products for mid-range. they are just as good as some of the high-end products. Tip to get all the foundation out .cut tube and used 1/2 teaspoon to scope from the sides of the tube into an old moisturising pot with a lid
I am always envious of how gorgeous you look with minimal makeup. I haven't worn No7 products from I was a teenager and it seems (according to other youtubers) Boots have really stepped up to the mark. I'm certainly interested in giving this ago. I'm currently wearing a combo of Clarins long lasting foundation mixed with CYO. Have you tried any of the no7 setting powders Gemma, both loose & pressed? xx

Hi Gemma, great foundation review. I've been using No. 7 eye products and face serums for the past maybe month or 2. I use to have discoloration under my eyes so I would wear a concealer. Guess what? For the first time in years I don't have any discoloration under my eyes at all. I'm not sure if it's all because of using the No. 7, but I've tried a lot of different eye creams and never really had any positive results but I will tell you that I also us Cereve eye repair cream. I've been using the Cereve eye cream for months. Is like to try the foundation but I don't wear foundation that often at all probably due to the fact that I haven't found or tried one that suits me. Thanks for the video and ill be watching for more of your great videos. God bless
