The Amazing Digital Circus Kinger Drama Is Insane
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 жов 2023
- Over the last 24 hours there's been ongoing Discussion surrounding the voice actor of Kinger from The Amazing Digital Circus. This all initially kicked off with a tweet back at the end of September where a user tried to expose Sean Chiplock for weaponizing his fanbase against minors on the platform. It's unfortunate that every time a new indie project comes out there always has to be some sort of drama surrounding a minor part of the production. Other projects such as hazbin, helluva and lackadaisy all suffer from this constant drama cycle that rehashes itself for no apparent reason.

Ive made another video going into the recent Gooseworx controversy if you also want to check it out:
ua-cam.com/video/QEoCIMNJi4o/v-deo.html
Gooseworx said a shortwhile ago that if the fandom turned toxic, she would ruin the show on purpose. Well, that didn't take long, did it?
The fandom isn’t ruined Twitter is
Honestly she should just make it a standalone short film if it continues. The pilot works amazing as a single short anyway.
That was obviously a joke
that was a joke, are you guys seriously taking it 💀
@@Alex-bg8fothis is a joke, are you seriously taking it 💀
We can't have a single indie fandom without people falsely accusing a cast member 🤦♀️ Plz it has barely even been 2 weeks yet.
I mean in this case is it seemingly not actually because of the show but because of the voce actors hatebase from previous Projects
Ikr- just let us enjoy the show for like two seconds without any drama please- it hasn’t been that long 😭
Speed runner need content
It doesn't really matter how level-headed the fanbase is a lot of the time, if something gets popular enough, it WILL reach the people who live for conflict, and want nothing more than to hate, demean, and destroy. Digital Circus and all that have come before it are a subject of their range. There isn't really a way to deal with it before it happens, all you can really do is damage control and hope most people are sensible enough to tune it out themselves.

Fr
Always been
True that
As a 15 year old, I find it disgusting how Twitter users unironically think that being under 18 is an excuse for absolutely vile behavior. Chronically online behavior
As a 18 year old, i also find I disgusting too
As an also 15 year old, I posted this in the general comments but I’ll reiterate: Sean is the nicest man I’ve ever met. Just because the kid was underage, doesn’t mean Sean did anything wrong by calling them out.
its because much of twitter's users are children trying to excuse their vile behavior.
No doubt, if that teenager said something that personally offended or aggrieved the twitter mob, the situation would suddenly be "they're old enough to know better, they have to face the consequences" and people try to get them suspended from high school
And then they also get on your back for being edgy and saying really stupid stuff when you were 14 when you obviously have grown out of it, the hypocriscy I swear
People keep saying this fandom is gonna be awful and I kinda agree with them. It’s because they’re in it, and are actively trying to start drama and make the fandom bad. If you don’t want the fandom to be awful and toxic, stop being awful and toxic- 😭
Double standards moment
EXACTLY LIKE OMG
This is gonna end up like the pizza tower situation, where the fandom was so focused on making sure they didn't have any drama that that in itself ended up turning into a drama.
Gooseworx telling the fandom to not be toxic is just talking to a brick wall at this point, still though A for effort
@@Boiled_Pizzait can never be said that she didn't try
From what i've seen, they're just angry he called out a teenager for sending him death threats, and they found tweets from 10 years ago that were sort of edgy. So pretty much just twitter being angry at nothing
Hm ok
Twitter being twats as usual then
Kind of funny and hypocritical, I must say. No one should be sending death threats, no matter the age. It's only fair to call them out, as far as I can see he didn't harass the teenager for it though?
Just twitter being twitter again, they fight against what they think is "wrong"... by doing what's wrong and harassing people. That platfom will never learn anything
@@DeadVoxelYup, honestly i think it was just a callout post (or at least from what i've seen that's all it was), so it's really someone being angry over nothing
So the sun rises in the east, nothing is out of the ordinary... Yada yada.
he called someone out for sending literal death threats and people are mad at him? he shouldn't be recast, he needs a damn RAISE
Fr I'm getting tired of people acting like minors are just brainless creatures that don't know right from wrong and must be protected from "the mean adults" when they're clearly old enough to know better.
@@JewelWildmoon the only time when it's valid is if the minor is clearly below the age of 13, as most are influenced by what they see at that age, which is specifically why 13 is the minimum age for most apps, games and platforms. Yet still, it's absolutely okay to simply call someone out for sending DEATH threats, Sean didn't even seem to harass the teenager or anything like that
But I do have to say, most teenagers are perfectly aware of what they're doing. I mean, most fandoms are full of teenagers, Twitter is full of teenagers, and those that start drama are mostly teenagers. People should stop pretending like being a teenager is an excuse to be toxic
@@DeadVoxel Fr. I can maybe give some leeway up to 14, but from 15-16, I'd expect they have enough common sense to know why it's not an acceptable thing to do. That's kinda why I also get a little annoyed with people who are like "They're just a minor" when anyone tries to criticize them, because they're teaching them that it's ok to do terrible (or dangerous) things as long as they're a minor, and that just discourages them from *_actually_* trying to improve themselves.
That's why we have 18-30 year olds out here acting like they peaked in high school.
@@JewelWildmoon personally, when I was at the age of 16, and everyone I knew at that time who were also 16, acted absolutely rational and knew that sending death threats isn't okay. Teenagers aren't stupid, they aren't someone who can't think for themselves. On the contrary, at that age I wished people took me more seriously, I was already capable of thinking with my own head, I did have the right to be treated like a person, and not like a kid who doesn't know what they're doing
Adults are too used to belittling and babying teenagers, to the point where they don't realize it's causing more harm than good
i think the person who sent death threats was 16, correct me if i’m wrong but i feel like when ur 16 the “i’m minor” excuse doesn’t work anymore
Great video. It's so refreshing to see someone discuss this situation other than the twitter users with their pitchforks out.

In the words of Mike Tyson:
"Social media made you all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it."
Knowing that Sean was also harassed by the Genshin fandom (I think over shipping of the character he voices? some dumb reason like that he wasn't even involved in - it's happened to other Genshin voice actors), I imagine the poor guy is just sick of twitter being twitter and really doesn't want to add fuel to the fire. He knows it will die down, and he really doesn't want to interact with yet another toxic portion of a fanbase.
Dude i swear, if you become a tiny bit popular you HAVE to stay 100 miles away from twitter

There’s only ONE episode out. How is there already drama? These people are somehow more mentally I’ll than anyone in the show
It's not even an episode, it's a pilot, which makes it even more tragic to be honest. Nowadays as long as something gets popular, there WILL be drama. I mean, who in their right minds would do a background check on the cast members when most of the fanbase just simply enjoys the show and the characters?
There are valid times where a VA ends up being some creep, or expresses inappropriate behavior towards minors, or something along the lines of. But this is surely not one of those times

Idk about the old tweets, but that kid was SIXTEEN. He can drive, he can consent, he can apply for most jobs; he shouldn’t get a “oH he’S JUsT a KiD bEiNG a KId” response to (presumably unwarranted) DEATH THREATS. He should definitely know better at 16, and kids grow up, especially if it’s they’re two years before adulthood. If that behavior continues, it’s a PROBLEM. The kid was taught a lesson, so long as he wasn’t doxxed or harassed or whatever. -a 15 year old.
The brain stops maturing at 25 and the average human livespan is 80. 16 is NOTHING. 16 is still a kid, people at 16 are dumb. @DeadVoxel Same. I may be uncomfortable with certain themes in fiction, but I know how to scroll away from it and draw a line between fiction and reality. Those are both things that people like them need to learn. Unfortunately, they'd rather focus on forcing everyone else to cater to their comfort.
I mean there's genuine reasons incest is bad even between consenting adults like power dynamics from older and younger siblings or other family members with age differences who you grew up with, that are often the basis for alot of abuse in said relationships, there's also the genetic thing for kids but that's only heterosexual close relatives, if its like your 2nd cousin or you are simply gay its basically negligible.
Can't think of a reason why gay twins would be wrong, sure its gross to me but they don't have those age differences or genetic issues so there's nothing actually that wrong with it.
And overall if people really want to do incest, i don't care that much because its not my business if they're are fully consenting and they aren't suffering from wierd abusive dynamics, i would just be cautious because again the abusive dynamics aren't uncommon, but if they're happy to do it then who gives a fuck really.
I just knew that the fanbase was going to be a horrible, toxic mess. Also I saw that in the callout post it said that Sean “shipped incest”. @@unwlcmddidn't the Chinese one refer to dilucs dad as kaeyas adoptive father though? The sworn brother thing is true but I feel like diluc and kaeya DEF count as incest from that and I don't really like incest fans. This current drama is stupid though

Case in point, I wouldn’t have even known about this drama if this video hadn’t popped up in my recommendeds.
It's been *2 FUCKING WEEKS!!* HOW TF IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!
1 episode just released and everything is crazy bruh💀
It’s becoming skibidi toilet, calling it “everything is for kids”…
The number of problem the digital circus is having in only 2 weeks is way too much, bots spamming their comments, hate, drama
I wouldn’t worry about the stupid bots, If anything that’s just proof of the show’s popularity
@@randoontheinternet5842 yea, but im worrying they might step up their game
UTTPs have just made a come back in general for some reason, I've seen them on critical's videos and some other places, but they'll crumble into dust in the span of like 2 months as per ususal.
@@TheRealSuperKirby lets hope
This drama isn't new. Sean for whatever reason drew the ire of some of the worst toxic people online you can imagine. Every time a new role of his is announced, they start some other kind of new drama to try and get him canceled. It fails every time though.
Sean doesn’t deserve this. You said it perfectly, indie animations get people’s blood boiling, and they’ll stir up the craziest stuff to put someone’s professional image on the line.
bro just because of someones past doesnt mean they cant voice act, its their voice… the voice hasnt done anything…
Classic social media sadly. People will constantly stir up quick drama with no proof to gain traction. I wish everyone could just have a civil discussion instead of putting out baseless slurs and accusations constantly, but by this point that'd be a pipe dream.
So he received a death threat, and called it out...But he's in the wrong and not the guy who sent the death threat? How?
Because the one who sent the death threat is a minor according to those idiots-
You already know what gooseworx is gonna do when she finds this (make the show purposely horrible)
Yeah, Twitter, as always, is just being butthurt and dramatic over almost nothing. Idc about whatever little thing he did. It's a good show and Kinger is my favorite character and I'm gonna keep watching it.
lemme get this right... they went searching his old posts, and didn't even find anything?
They found offensive jokes but the problem is that they were made more than a decade ago so it shouldn’t matter
@@randoontheinternet5842 Twitter acting like people don't change after a literal decade be like
twitter users try not to ruin some random dude's career over literally nothing challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
*BREAKING NEWS: Somebody on the internet used to make edgy jokes 7 years ago, more at **11:00**!*
Do people on twitter seriously not have anything better to do with their time than search for pointless drama?
Laughable twitter moment, it's not even evident that three's a problem, there could be some much more to be concerned about.
Alternatively, if we wanna see the haters seethe and cope, supporting the cast and the show will probably do it xD
The show hasn’t even been out that long and now this shit is happening 😟
Describing the situation as a “personality clash” is really a perfect way to describe most discourse that becomes blown out of proportion. The internet has done some great things in being able to stop some really bad things happening to (sometimes hundreds of) people by catching actual criminals but some people do have trouble recognising the difference between illegality and difference in beliefs. Though it’s often easy to tell most times, it’s not an easy thing when you account for searching for what’s true or not, understanding the actions of an individual and their intention based on definitive evidence, and all whilst balancing personal bias when identifying criminal behaviour. It’s just as easy to have a lapse of judgement as it can be to call someone out, which makes it important to remember that sometimes people just think differently to how you do, regardless of what you might assume about them.
I know I’m probably saying this to the wrong audience, though, since I imagine the people reading this won’t be overly emotionally charged vigilantes- but if this comment gets anyone to stop and think about what biases might be skewing their perceptions in any context, I’ll be happy.
