Knicks fan here. There were definitely some self inflicted wounds on the Knicks side, but Maxey just out right beat us. Thibs yelled at Deuce to foul, Maxey heard him and instantly darted away from Deuce and just fucking launched it from the logo. That’s just too good.

For example Lakers Net rating when Labron was off the floor was -1.5 so that just goes to show how valuable Jokic is.

Nuggets are defending champs with clutch big time performers. They can easily outplay other teams's bench with their starting lineup.
That’s what I don’t get about this whole bench comp. Yes, Wolves bench is better and deeper, but in the playoffs rotation gets shortened and you’re not even going to play your 8th or 9th man much anyways especially in Nugget’s case. Each team’s starter is gonna play 35+ minutes. And Nuggets will stagger and is not like they’ll have their entire bench out there on the court at the same time. I will say bench production is still important in gaining momentum and that could be the difference between winning and losing the game down the stretch. But Nuggets is the best clutch team in the league so even in crutch time, it’s in favor for the Nuggets.

In terms of nuggets being in trouble - this is a really bad take. Jokic historically feasting on guys like Gobert, much less Kat. Either Jokic gonna average 45+ these series, or Wolves gonna have to give up 3s. Either way, huge, massive advantage Nuggets.

Draymond is incorrect about the cap rules he said @ 32:38. If LeBron opts out of his player option, the Lakers still have a "cap hold" on his the amount he could earn with his bird rights until either (a) they renounce the bird rights or (b) LeBron signs with another team. Therefore, they will be over the first tax apron regardless unless LeBron leaves, leaving them only the ability to improve via trades and a taxpayer midlevel exception (~$5 million)
Also, for those that didn't know, bird rights are the ability for a team to re-sign a player they've had for a certain number of years under contract to the maximum contract they can sign, regardless of tax penalty.
