I have a series of prototype silent ion propelled drones on my channel. They are the only ones that generate sufficient thrust to carry their own power supplies with ion propulsion. It is unfortunate that there isn't yet enough funding to make the kind of rapid progress with this new technology that there should be.
Man I haven’t watched this channel in awhile. I remember first watching this channel back in middle school when the intro would come on then the music playing with no commentary always gave e goosebumps.
I think the best one is the delta shaped one that they keep in LEO and bring down to resupply and change out personnel. Probably more of a blimp then a fixed wing sky boat. The Video of it over the SW and midwest is pretty cool.
I haven’t watched this channel in a while , but I’m glad it popped up on my feed today because I needed something other than news and politics to relax to. The current political situation in America is giving me an ulcer… This finally got my mind off of the horrors of a second Trump presidency
The drone idea is a good one. We are seeing their use in combat in the latest conflict between Russia and Ukraine, primarily in ground attack and shipping at sea. The US is considering their use as autonomous fighter escorts. The United States has been using remote control drones for many years now and has recently placed them on sea going vessels. The future is now.
They need to just launch the drone from space. I mean less fuel if you’re in orbit, let’s risk of losing pilots. And you could use altitude to your advantage instead of an explosive of some type.
Today we could do this with numerous drones. But not like what is shown here. So the cargo aircraft get nears destination however staying out of that nations air defenses. It then deploys a disposable drone carrier "thing heavy stealth cruise missile" That is sent into enemy territory. Once near the target a number of different types of drones are deployed. From ECM, fixed or rotor wing, radar seeking, missile like suicide drones or even small drones to saturate an area and blow up numerous types of targets. A cargo aircraft could be on standby and loiter and deploy "packages" as needed. They could also work in conjunction with smaller drone fighters to act as a CAP.
It's good to hear the intro music again. It's like The Twilight Zone intro: you immediately get the right mindset.
Agreed 👍🏻 😁👍🏻
Am I the only one who does it out loud ? 🙏😆😆😆😆
The Russians even thought about and tested carrying gliding tanks under their bombers wings.
Flying aircraft carriers... well.. now we know where most the bosses from the Ace Combat Franchise came from.
Drones are just cruise missiles now. The difference is drones can linger and wait for the target. War isn't fair, despite what people say now.
They're also signals intelligence platforms
@@L_Train Why put a crew or an expensive satellite in danger? Israel did just shoot down a ballistic missile in space. Iran testing their technology?
Good stuff like always!!!! Surprised why it gets 9300 views and only 53 comments!!!!
Everyone who’s played Ace Combat 7 knows exactly where the US Air Force should go.
Need force field technology first, or it's a sitting duck.
For sure unmanned is the way to go

I had a large bomber model that had this parasite plane with it. Neat idea.

you can't make a perfect product if you don't risk making a bad product
Thank you so very much Mr Dark5. That Intro is the absolute best of sounds.
Much appreciated

Nice sharing Vidio... greeting from Indonesian traditional gold Prospecting 🇮🇩🌺🌺
Nice 👍
One small nit to pick....the Akron and Macon were not balloons, the were ridged airships.....
Mysterious?

Drones are without the slightest doubt the future of all air warfare. Delivering a cargo plane full of them to a war zone 😮😮😮😮
I think Iran and Russia are way ahead of the U.S. in these technologies
Lol^
I agree lmfao

Somehow getting into space to start with would most likely nullify any benefits of safety and efficiency.
Mrs Dan dislikes the D5 intro but I love it...
The 747 could handle some BIG loads
