If you're an arts student right now, or in college doing your graduation, my advice would be to start preparing for competitive exams WHILE you're still in college. Don't wait to complete your graduation. Start practicing now. Devote 3 hours a day for maths and reasoning. Both these categories will ensure that your selection in Grade B ( many inspector level posts ) will become inevitable. Current affairs- general awareness and english aren't that difficult. The real problem would be maths and reasoning. Once you leave college you can apply for CGL, or if you're in college right now, apply for CHSL. Syllabus is same and salary is good.

I took Arts after my 10 std bcoz I felt more comfortable with arts stream n till now I m comfortable with it. Sir, u for got to add archeologist degree bcoz to become a archeologist arts stream is must bcoz it includes history.
