i use the Gt2 into a clean amp (Orange 2X12 100w combo amp or Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1X12) along with my pedal board with drives, delay and reverb and compression pedals.. and love what the preamp does to my tone in front of amp, i initially got it to use without an amp, in a worship music setting, straight to mixing board, but still like having a amp as "monitor" on stage, the tweed setting is my secret sauce now for all kinds of scenarios and i get my base tone consistent where ever i am! nice to see someone else using the clean setting on the GT2, i also love the British drive setting for more drive options if ever i need.
