    I've always wanted a spear to be added to this game. It seems logical, simple enough for anyone to craft, you can hunt, defend, trap, use it for cooking, and burn it when low on firewood, and use it as a walking stick. Especially in a game where wolves are always tracking and attacking you. Just a thought

      It makes a lot of thematic sense, but I think the impact on gameplay would be too severe. Always fun to speculate though :)

    Just realized that if you have your long-term base on the coast, you can use the containers that will disappear to get rid of the cans.

      @@Zaknafein New Challenge: Environmentalist!
      Bring 20 cans and 5 Scrap Metal from Mountain Town to Desolation Point, and place them in a Locker or Chest until they are washed away by a blizzard :)
      (Yes I know, sending them into the Ocean is NOT actually good for the environment, but it would effectively remove them from the game, making the world cleaner/neater lol).

      I just got to Ash Canyon myself and I have played loads of this game too. Getting the backpack 🎒 was kinda easy! Super cool region. Stalker, day 137.

    Love this Stalker series! I’ve watched all your Loper series but seems you have a new feel while playing Stalker.
    ** side note thank you so much for not feeling like you have to show your face while playing! Can’t seem to watch others that do that!

    You're amazing Zak. Love the content. I just hit 50 days on my stalker run last night after completing the storymode recently. Your videos are great, lovely content and relaxing to watch. Thanks

    I would usually drop the crowbar in the hut it saves a little more weight and not that useful on or around the mountain. But if you’re going straight to ash canyon after I can see the reason to keep it

    Nice episode, quite a journey but you travel fast, even faster than in interloper because you don't need to warm up and recover condition by sleeping.
    Carrying the moose meat was probably too much considering what you can find on the way in stalker.

    Always love to see a new video pop up in my feed! I'd love to see you head to BlackRock after you finish up in AC and TWM if that's possible. Do like you did for Mountain Town on your interloper run in terms of showing the region.

    the hunting lodge in BR. that's the place I wish I could make my main base but it's so far out. I like it for its size. it's got the multi burner stove and basement I think with the firewood chest. you can hold lots of stuff there but it's so far away from other maps. I wish they'd put a big structure like that in ML.
    great upload as always. get well soon.
    devs could add pine needles you collect from the ground after a blizzard. trers drop little tufts of needles. they contain vitamin c and would be good for scurvy. be cool if they could add ice climbing axes so you could climb up steep hills with the crampons. reverse goating.

    Hi Zak, I wanted to tell you that I love your videos. They are both entertaining and soothing. I am playing TLD since 2015 but still on Voyager. :D Hadn't much time to play the last years and there are so many games on the ever growing 'pile of shame'.
    I started a new Voyager run after the last large update and am at day 176 now. Spawned in CH, stayed there for at least 50 days just eating fish (grilled salmon all day long! YAY! :D ) for the achievement and skilled fishing. Then went over to ML lootet everything and came back. I had the impression there was less loot than I was used to on voyager. So I was wondering: does loot deteriorate even if you've never been to that region? So is it possible loot is gone long before you get there the first time? Or put in other words: Does every object deteriorate from the beginning of the game in every region or does it start when you first enter a reagion?

    • @Zaknafein
      @Zaknafein  6 місяців тому

      Yes, they deteriorate when the game starts, which is why you can find ruined items in areas you have never been to.

    • @TheExperior
      @TheExperior 6 місяців тому +1

      @@Zaknafein I guess it makes sense from a realistic point of view.
      I have no problem with 0%-items as I can craft what I need and with Level 5 cooking I can eat what I want. Would be nice to find a few more peaches for pies though, but as they disappear when reaching 0% and stored in some container, I guess I won't find many more.

    Quick question: Is the summit guaranteed to have a saw at this difficulty level? Personally, I always take two to be on the safe side, but I appreciate YMMV/if it is guaranteed, a second one is not needed.

      If you ever want to give it another shot - the long dark community has created really detailed maps of where everything is. I like to play on easier settings and use the online map resources for support!

    • @AscendantDreams
      @AscendantDreams 5 місяців тому

      @@CycleKat it’s just not fun for me bro, it has no random things, the wolfs always in the same spots everything grows in the same spots, all the needed loot always same spawn locations if it’s not here then it must be there, walking the same route every time, i really like the survival aspect in this game but like i said gathering the loot is just not fun for me.
      playing Namalsk has fallen on dayz atm dayz still one of the better survival games out there is you ask me, a lot of modded servers purely focused on survival aspects

    where like you build some kind of trust or intimacy meter on a wolf and be your companion to defend you on a pack of wolves..
