I would not have adjusted the edge of the glove over your scrub jacket like that. It’s too easy to contaminate it. Once you get the glove on and you let go on the edge of the cuff do not touch it again. Leave it. That’s best practice. Only the individuals donned with sterile gowns can adjust their gloves like that..well to an extent.. they just can’t expose the cuff underneath the glove or touch it.
When nurses or scrub techs readjust their sterile gloves, that is when you contaminate and that is why UTIs are the most common hospital acquired infection.
I agree with you but this video was just to show how to open glove in general. Us techs don't put Foleys but I do understand what you're saying. A lot of our nurses wear their watches and I don't get that at all.
Can you do a glove selection video
And explain diff types of gloves
i thought the inner part is unsterile and the other part is sterile? why did you touch it with your thumb in the second glove?
What should I do if my hands are abnormally sweaty, and there are no powdered gloves available?
Woooooow
But the surgeon in the operating theatre can keep his nails long or with polish
Rules apparently don't apply to surgeons but I'm gonna mind my business on this one lol
Best practice is once you open, you do not fold the paper back such as you did in the first few seconds of the video.
