My god man… cleanest LS swapped Z I’ve ever seen…PERIOD! And whoever did that exhaust for you is a mad man. It looks as if it was meant to be built that way. And the exhaust sound…. Is just perfect. Great work man 🤙🏼
Saw it yesterday and now I'm mad happy I subbed :D Great production quality and fantastic presentation! You gonna go far man and I wanna be here before 500 and 1 million :D
Yes for sure ! I wish the first and second gears where a little longer. First gear is absolutely useless lol I start in second most of the time. Maybe I will change the rear end out to get the first gear to be more user friendly
@@wade_debo lol I just looked it up they have a 3.7 first gear and a 2:32 second , old school close ratio 4 speeds utilized a 2:32 first gear so maybe just start in second 🤣🤣🤣
@@AnDrEw122100 lol yea until I figure something out. I thought about taking the auto rear end of a 350z for the gearing and building the diff to a true lock or some type of locker in it but even then going from 3.53 rear end that I have now to the auto 3.35 wouldn’t benefit me entirely to much, I’m trying to see if there is any full rear end swaps for this car like they have for the supra. It’s mostly the gearing in the trans that needs to be addressed but I love the CD009 trans.
Hi, Your car sounds amazing. What Cat are you using on your exhaust? Also, do you have resonators on the front part of your exhaust? Thanks for sharing. Beautiful car.
They look tight but honestly not bad to do ! Serviceability is actually great on the car I made it as simple as possible if I ever need to drop the engine or do maintenance on it !
I’m new to the channel here. Did you do anything to the suspension set up? Seems like you need to look into getting the correct spring rates and properly tuned shocks to accommodate to the massive power and also changes in the corner weight of the car after the build.
Didn’t do anything to the suspension from previous setup. It may change a few things slightly but nothing crazy for a street car ! I bet If it was a professional race car that things would have to be changed but for a street car and occasionally ripping some corners it feels great !
@@hakimrahman85 thanks ! Yea the reason it’s got next to no traction the tires are just about completely shot ! And they arnt the sticky tires I would prefer to have on it.
Sikky makes a rear sway bay , it’s green , with a double hump , so you don’t have-to thread it through the stock one , plus they have the front matching bar ,
Labor hours can very depending on the parts you use and how much modifications are needed ! But I would say 20 hours ok the light side I would say ? It’s hard to say i didn’t track my hours on the car I could be way out to lunch or close
Yea the alternator down low is great ! Keeps everything nice and low for a good clean look to. And it’s easy to change down low as well, looks clean in my opinion! I used all 06 ctsv front components for tensioners pulleys ect.
FYI, if you use the Holley Tall Valve covers because of a higher lift cam you will not get the coil packs to fit. Ask me how I know. I ended up using Proform LS Slant Edge covers. Even then, my installation looks pretty clunky.
Yea I was able to use the stock height valve covers and they just clear with the cam shaft I used. Any larger of a lift and it woulda been really close.
Me want. I'll trade you for an all original (even the tires and brakes) Lemans sunset with burnt orange interior with 42,000 Km. Documented 1 of the 1st 350zees sold in North America. Performance package Bose, 18# rims. Came with lots of stuff like a hard cover book on the history of the Z cars, postcards, a letter, and a dvd. Only driven in rain 3-4 times. Can eat off every part and finally not even any sun swirls in the paint. Almost Barrett Jackson perfect.
2003. I bought it used with 5000 Km in 2004. Garage kept and covered. I probably have more hours into washing than driving hours. Of course it is highway miles
Custom made from the headers to the rear axle. Then the rear axle section is the Motordyne tdx2. And in line for the tail end has vibrant ultra quite mufflers

Thank you ! That means a lot ! The exhaust worked out perfectly in my opinion as well ! I’m very happy with the car and how it works 👍
Not sure what I'm more jealous of...the super clean car or the super clean shop. Sick build man

350z trans I can tell by the 3-4 shift , nice close ratio . Sounds awesome .

@@wade_debo yeah cuz the 350z’s have a 1:1 5th instead of 4th like the t56 right ? So yeah with all that torque a tall rear end gear wouldn’t hurt .

You've done such a nice job with this car brother, I remember when you first bought it! Great day for a rip 🙏🏼
Thanks man ! I appreciate it ! Feels like forever ago I got this car !
Once I sale my car (if I ever do) it’s home stretch to start my ls3 swap… yours is awesommeeee man. Jeeeeez
Thank you ! Yea that would be great you will have a lot of fun doing it 👍
Good stuff man, just out of curiosity how hard is it to get the plugs out on that thing? Looks like it would be a real chore

What mufflers are those? Awesome build 👏
Those are vibrants ultra quiet resonators used as a muffler. Here is the part number !
Vibrant 1142 3" Ultra Quiet Resonator

Congrats on the swap, I’m planning to ls3 my 350z later this year do you have any tips?
Thanks ! All I can say is use wiring specialties harness kit. The customer service is great and excellent quality
What kind of ecu did you go with?
It has the E38 Camaro ECU at the moment ! Might switch to holly later on
Hell yeah!! Sounds amazing 🤩
Thanks buddy !
Sweet sounds sweet
Thanks ! Hope your swap is going well 🤛
I would love to do this. But I just swapped in a new VQ . 😢 But if I can get a LS3 then I may.

Im going to pay for a 5.3 swap/tremec 5 speed… into a z3 roadster. How many labor hours do you think it may take?

Looks much better with the new valve cover and coils!
Thanks ! I thought so to ! It’s the simple things 👍 hope to keep seeing videos of the Volvo !
@@wade_debo I'm working on a new one now actually!
Heading over to your Channel now 😎
Is the alternator mounted low? I’m doing this same swap but the harness needs specification for a low or high alternator
Thanks in advanced

Looks like a clean setup man I'm jealous lol! What trans are you running?
Thanks ! Right now running the cd009 trans (stock trans)
