I always wondered why Shinkenger is my most favorite recent Sentai that also left bigger impression to me than any other Sentai series. Now I realize, it must be due to the angsty Takeru's character that captivates my empathy to him. There are some aspects of him that I can relate, his loneliness, his withdrawal from forming genuine social relations, and his heavy burden to fulfill the responsibilities he was destined to. Takeru's pain and secretive persona resonates within me subsconciously. Thus, the last episodes where all of Takeru's burden and secrets are finally released: I also cannot deny the relief I got too. Holy gosh, even as I grow up, the fighting and mecha scene totally became cringy for me to watch, I always came back to rewatch Shinkenger only for the heartwarming scenes among the casts.
Just make a 10 years later special with mako already married but were only hinted at whose her husband and at the very end we get the reveal its takeru also by this point mako is actuañly a good cook
@@ricardoramos1059that would work considering I doubt they’ll get the actor for Takeru back (unless he does it as a favor to the old cast even then it would most likely just be a cameo) but if it were to happen Kaoru could be the active red ranger leader for most of the movie while he shows up briefly at the end to imply that Mako became his wife.
Is this why that ONE yokai who could see people's worst selves and destroyed them with "the truth" from the...3rd episode I think called Takeru a "Liar"? Noice foreshadowing! ^_^
Well, I don't mind the fact that they changed the secret, because one of the problems with Samurai is just how much if it wss just copy and paste. But as far as their version of the secret goes, they still adapted certain lines into Jaydens dialogue to make it sound like, he's actually hiding something incredibly dark. "There are things about me you don't know....!" But then once it's revealed to be, oh I'm just filling in for my older sister, it doesn't work because, that's NOT a terrible thing to hide. Its not something s person wouldn't forgive you for, if anything it might strengthen respect by showing how it wss being done for your family. But here, it's DRASTICALLY different because he's a literal imposter. A phony. And a man with no purpose other than that. He's literally just a throwaway soldier, snd he's meant to be replaceable. But everything changed when he gets comfortable, and arguably, shifts from being an introvert. It wasn't supposed to mean snyrhint if he died, but then he values being with the team, and that could come back to haunt him once the TRUE red ranger comes in. The two characters srr living false perceptions of themselves, but that's different when Takeru has nothing else to him.

Mako is always the one who understands Takeru's heart and is also the one to give him the comfort and advice he needs the most.

This season legit made me tear up several times on several episodes. This one hit me the most tho.

I love power rangers samurai, but those writers didn’t do the same thing as shinkengers.
