Thats actually interesting theory, might be what the autor had in mind, but you can achieve more than just material plesure in this life. One may learn through their spiritual practice (whether its meditation, prayer...), the true meaning of selflove, inner peace and the thruth about our reality. What you call ideal love is just primordial state of being... which we lost touch with due to our social system, which is represented in this anime so well btw. Do yourself a favor and find your divinity, because people are evidently lost in this world without faith or belief. Use your mind, dont let it use you

Since watching this anime over 3 years ago first time, I have experienced a lot of things, and now rewatching parts of it give so much more meaning to many things. Or most likely it is just my understanding of it that has grown. Every time I see this anime I get more out of it. It's truly a great anime.

Instead of taking the harder path like momoka by being selfless to enact change, he’s more willing to go for the “easy” solution of wanton terrorism through kiga, which is guaranteed to result in ‘something’, even if it isn’t the best path to abolishing the ‘boxes’ and harms innocents
Doesn't that sound just like modern activism? Don't risk anything, screech your lungs out, hide on the internet if things get too rough, stay in your social bubble, don't give up any modern assets, but constantly whine about the world being a bad place vs putting in the effort, studying a major that ensures you a job in a field that can make a difference (agriculture, chemistry, engineering, ...), and working your ass off on finding solutions and promoting them, educating others on the topic equally, and eventually achieving said change.
Pretty much Himari doesn't want to kiss without real love existing between 2 people. The guy is saying who cares if you don't really love the person you can kiss them all you want and in the moment love exists. But if you do that you'll end up empty inside. He's like who cares I'll take the miniscule pieces of love over something I don't know if I'll ever even find.
I think Himari is talking about how she won't risk for romantic relationships if she couldn't promise herself it'll end up good. Remember Himari was once abandoned by her birth mother, so she might has some insecurity deep inside, being afraid of not being needed and ties being breakable. And the novel explains that she's referring to her relationship with Shoma here, her adoptive brother. Himari holds romantic feelings towards her brother, but she's convinced that he'll not returned that feeling of hers, and that can only bring harm to their familial ties, so she'll just try to ignore all of it.

It's very interesting if you look back, that "princess of the crystal" almost hated Ringo from day1, and the first time she transformed infront of her was right after Ringo slapped Shoma (for the first time), and the princess obviously said she transformed because she couldn't stand acting silently watching Ringo's action any longer, and the next time was also after Ringo beat the crap out of Shoma.
Mawaru Penguindrum is a treasure. Its a shame people will be turned away by the "pointless" beginning ( that isnt pointless when its just trying to portray regular everyday people)
It is the struggle of true love vs temporary love. Or even if it's exist something as "true love" at all. Would you be with someone even if you know it's going to end? Would you really love someone that you don't like just so you can love someone? Is it worth living a life without finding love?
With this and that one scene in Episode 9 where they almost kissed, I was so convinced he was gonna be another Akio. It's good he wasn't, but dear lord the tension in this scene. His voice certainly doesn't help.

He was the one in charge of orchestrating the subway attack; but, when he finished placing all the bombs (the black panda mechas), Momoka Oginome came to him and told him that with her powers she will stop him and save everybody. While she was reciting the spell, Sanetoshi cursed her by putting a sticker on her forehead. Her soul was split into the two Penguin Hats and only half of the people in the subway were saved. But Momoka's spell split Sanetoshi's soul into the Black Rabbits as well, "killing" him. It is later revealed in Himari Takakura's dream (Episode 09) that Sanetoshi then, somehow, became the librarian of the Central Library's "Hole in the Sky" Branch. He sent Penguin 3 to Himari so she will come all the way to him. There in the library he revealed parts of Himari's past written in books, gave her the penguin hat and sent the package of pen._ And I think Shouma and Kanba actually die, they appear as children at the end but they aren't alive, just like the penguins, they're far away from there after they end the cycle and get their punishment for changing fate again. I'm not so sure about that tho but the wiki says this: _In the end Kanba sacrificed himself to save Himari and Shoma sacrificed himself to spare Ringo from the punishment of being burned for altering fate. In the new timeline, Kanba and Shoma revert to children and walk by their old house together. They continue walking until they reach the stars._ (And because they are after the stars (metaphor) I guess they died).

This is opposite of what Sanetoshi is proposing, since "kisses" in this case represent "passion", a lustful love that doesn't care about tomorrow ("over and over until your heart freezes"). I could write an entire essay on just this one scene and how awesomely it is executed, portraying both the positives and negatives of these two kinds of love, but I'm not going to make this post that long XD Hope I've been helpful!
In the end however, she does chases love, she does chase Kanba no matter how far he is, how he tries to avoid her. She chases him. Because she loves him, not for the fruit or required love, simply because she loves.
