Afternoon from the U.K. - Covid is nasty Ryan and you do need to properly rest and get over it. Electrolytes or emergency-C or similar is your friend for the time being. Hope you’re feeling better soon. Most ppl find it takes at least a month to recover, if not a bit longer
Where is your outhouse? Dude challenge! Most unusual looking outhouse with composting toilet. FINALLY use for all that sawdust! Please, Please, Please, Please!!
We just reorganized the work truck. What a pain. Storage is a never ending battle. Maybe build you an ammo crate after you build a hand rail to your cabin steps. Don't want to break a rib again like an old man.
Truly so happy for you good sir! I've watched since the beginning. You were the reason I started my channel and now I'm monitized! So happy for your success brother 🙏
You're right that screw thing you showed us from harbor freight tools would be cool. Guess what I made my own by cutting the bottom of of a plastic detergent bottle. I cut it so the bottom part of the handle makes a perfect poor spout to pour them back in the holing jar. You are so smart. Thanks Ryan 😊😊. You're the bomb
You NEED a propane roof (love the looks) over your cabin door to keep the ICE off your porch this winter! You could even upscale it for more coverage, then store “stuff” in the underside nooks and crannies….
Pizza oven ..Bake your own bread ..Quite the challenge.. I wish Ryobi would sponsor your channel. I got the hand planner after watching you use it. Great job in organizing the tool shed..
I’m watching the video where you spread the HENRY Black jack Roofing tar, I Grandpa taught me To get a can and pour about a cup of diesel or kerosene in it and stir it up - mix it well. Then cover your wood post or even the underside of your floor. It will smell for about a year. And stay tacky for about 6 months- but by God you will have to drill thru it, there ain’t no hammering a nail in it. Best Coating to protect wood I’ve ever used. Great for Post, or anything you want to keep from rotting- lol Good Luck. 🍀
The sealer on the cabin really makes it pop. Beautiful! Homestead always looks great and now you're really getting it dialed in. Hope you get to feeling better. See ya later, alligator.
You can take it and cut a log. About 2 foot long drill hold down the center as far as it'll go and then ride it to base of it from the side drill at an angle down to that hole that gives you your air hole, then drop a few of those shavings down in her. Get it all set in a fire, and it will burst straight up and then call it a fire torch. Or the income of a rocket stove.
Just picked some puffballs here in Alaska and did the same thing almost immediately, if I find them I harvest them because they change so fast, I actually love the taste for such a simple mushroom, good morning everyone 🙏❤️💯
Tanerite with a 30 30 might get kinda hazardous, need some real distance to be safe, and the velocity needed for detonation means you can't safely distance yourself from the charge. I guess if you keep the size of the charge small it could be fun, but there are loads of videos of Darwin award winners that underestimated the explosiveness of tanerite. Safety third😂!
Lean-to, just leave the poles with bark. Just add a diagonal set of strips to put between the original rafters and the new tarp. At a diagonal so you have the snow sliding away from the middle of the side of the Lean-To.
.22 caliber shot shells are better for revolver; in the military we referred to that as snake shot. Consider getting a couple used metal ammunition cans for your various caliber. These cans are equipped with a waterproof gasket on the latching lid. Stay safe out there. With your “new” adjustable hole cutter you could convert the round log offcuts into stools and possibly high back chairs for around your fireplace or in the man cave and cabin. Possibilities are awesome. Greetings from the southern shore of the Great Swamp Erie. Peace brother
Ringworm is slowly becoming quite the amalgamation of very useful and bizarre structures. From the sky deck and swinging bed, bizarre, to the cabin, man cave, and garage, useful. Probably a reasonably good reflection of how your brain works. Weirdness just slightly contained by practicality. ;-)
I was thinking... Yea it did hurt 😅 The wood stove you have in your lean to, that could be utilized in your new kitchen build as a secondary heat source. That could be used when it is chilly, but you still want to sit outside to enjoy your meals. For instance build a table around it and some stools to sit on.
Ryan, Before you build the Kitchen, you need to do a wild design and build a greenhouse... Imagine growing your own Tomato's and Peppers 🙂 Then you need to have a Kitchen to cook it all in !
❤ Ryan ! Remember, you can thin out THOMPSON’s Wood Preservative with 1/4 part mineral sprits and even a bit ( depending on how dark you want ) some oil based paint to stain it and believe it or not, the sheds I painted in the 80’s are still in tact. Took weeks to dry completely but was as durable as the break wall we painted with Thompson’s Cement and Concrete Preservative. Same formula but with Concrete instead of Wood Preservative. Instead of every year like the neighbors, we painted the wall one time and we were done. As long as you use oil based paints / stains, and keep it thin, and keep the nozzles clean, you can use a deck sprayer.
29:49 - years ago, there was an episode of a TV show called Grand Designs which featured a prefab log cabin... When the parts were being assembled, there was a step that called for the installation of some pretty huge nails; 16, maybe 18 inch, or so. The presenter described them as "reassuringly enormous..." 😂 I've never forgotten that phrase...👍🪓🇦🇺
I keep all sorts of stuff in jars, cans, buckets and more. When I look for something I pour out onto an old towel. Don't cost much, and easy to use and store.
Nice work organizing! Re the 22 shot shells - it probably wouldn’t hurt with the one you shot, but you don’t want to shoot those regularly because the shot will damage your rifling. We had an old single shot 22 rifle that was the only gun we could shoot the little shot shells in. Dad would take it to our pond and practice for quail by shooting dragonflies flying around. He was a very good quail hunter, and his eyes were good enough to see those dragonflies. I wasn’t and mine weren’t!
How about a Dutch door on the lean to? You could cut the door one foot from the bottom and not worry about freezing.... Take care Ryan Hope you are feeling better soon
Good job on the mancave. Why not reuse the tarps once you strip the logs up under there, put the old tarps back on and then the new tarps to give that added strength.
@@trollolol705 I don't think he is going to rebuild the mancave, it is the lean-to that he has to work on, and that may be what you are referring to since he said something about the 4" puddles that are there with heavy rain.
Idk if I missed it but if you’re not sure where to reuse that wood stove you’re pulling out of the tarp shed, maybe you could add it to your outdoor kitchen & make into a funky pizza / oven of sorts. BTW, love all you get up too out there in the woods!!!
Take a flat rectangular plastic bottle, like some detergents, and cut it vertically in half and through the (screw on) top. Just heat the neck to give it a little bend. Voila! You have a sorting tray.
Please add a rail and some sand or step strips for added grip to the steps, winter is coming soon! Oh and it would be super cool if you learned how to use sketch up to share those bat box plans.
If you want to go overboard on the leanto when you replace the tarp, add a concrete floor to it so you don't have to worry about the ground freezing around the door anymore.
now THIS is a tool shed. loving the incremental improvements and happy that you're sliding out of your 'Rona symptoms. thanks for having us all along for the adventure.
Building a sunbrella tent would be great content....and... I seriously think about buying myself a heavy duty sewing machine to make some tents for myself and family. 😎👍
Good luck with the Thompson’s sealer. I would never use that again as it did not last one season and just needed coating again and again. I have gone to a 50/50 mix of diesel and oil.
While you're in a tent during the summer, why not hang a large tarp' over the deck attached to the trees or 4 poles against the deck? That'd save your fly's from sunburn etc... Just a thought.
Isn't it about time you had a go at treehouse or tree platform... building a structure to hold a cople of half totes on a tree would be a great practice project. Treehouse masters was a great series... loads of info on how to attach to atree and how to build the platform!
Ryan, with all of the scraps that you generate you would be well off to build some bat homes to increase the population and help keep the bugs down. Those little critters eat their own weight in bugs every day and you might even use less spray in the future while you create entertainment for us and comfort for you.
I'll come up to visit in the winter. I have family in LandOlakes. Would be cool to see the place and chat about the cost of this existence, I am interested in the next phase of my life taking this path, very cool, thanks for sharing.
Great video. Organization can make things so much easier at time. I don’t know how many times I’ve bought I new tool because I couldn’t find my previous one to only find out that I now have 5 of something. I thought your furry little bat was going to be your gateway pet until you got your puppy. I know you are looking at you next big project but I think a bat house or two would be a great mini project to do. I understand that it can take awhile for them to find it. That adjustable drill bit looks like a great way to make holes for stool legs in cookies. Thanks for sharing and it does take a while to get over the VID but you sound great!
A concern about the outdoor screws and use in green wood. As they are less likely to rust and break you might see more timber splitting. Something has to give.
cant wait to see the lean to get a make over remember to fix that door so when the ground freezes it dont get stuck . hey dont ask me how i just throw ideas at you lol . still think you should have used canvas tarps but hey thats fine . so ohh boy lean to party week then kitchen its like Christmas only better .
Maybe check out some mushroom farm videos online. You have the tools and the location to actually make it work. You wouldn't even need to put in any real effort. Just drill a few holes in some dead wood, stick some rotten wood from a tree you know has puffball mycelium in it(like the stuff right at the base of a mushroom you pick), stuff that in the holes and seal it with wax, or maybe a dowel
I really enjoy your Saturday vids. Thanks. Have you thought about a borehole to save the search for water? Could also save the freezing problem with a bit of insulation and a solar water heater.
Morning from Ireland
Morning ringers
You should make a bunch of viking chairs for around the fire pit for party week. Easy and functional project.
That’s a good idea 👍
Great idea❤
My favorite kind of video! Improving the worm and also tons of randomness included and not just focused on 1 project

Your place is a good example of a craftsman gone wild. Might be another Toad Rock campground some day. ❤😊
Where is your outhouse? Dude challenge! Most unusual looking outhouse with composting toilet. FINALLY use for all that sawdust! Please, Please, Please, Please!!
So sorry that you have been sick. Hope you get completely well soon.
We just reorganized the work truck. What a pain. Storage is a never ending battle. Maybe build you an ammo crate after you build a hand rail to your cabin steps. Don't want to break a rib again like an old man.

Small logs + big adjustable hole saw + tannerite = awesome party week

Your probably one of the most funniest guys I’ve watched their videos. Cool video and you have a good attitude
Get well , and I can't have no Ringworm on Saturdays , how sad would that be .!!!! Nice job 😊

Awesome organization project! I did a little in my shop last year - guess it's time for "Shop Organization 2.0" Thanks for the motivation/ideas!!!

Add sand to the grey floor paint & make your own non slip front steps.

Yup, seed the rotting stuff. Those mushys love it.
Still say you should build a log roll bar over your tent platform to keep trees from smashing you in a wind storm.
I keep all sorts of stuff in jars, cans, buckets and more. When I look for something I pour out onto an old towel. Don't cost much, and easy to use and store.

Now you need a lumber shed to prepare & store for next build 😅

Organization! Love it!
Before winter/snow hits, how about a handrail on the steps to your cabin? Might prevent another slip and fall.
Your wood stove from the Lean too shed would be great in your kitchen for winter heat as well as to cook on.
That sifting tray you have yourself there is pretty fancy.
Friend of mine when I lived in El Paso, TX he would carry a ruger 22 revolver loaded with 22 shot shells, like you tested, for rattlesnakes.
that little washer tray you could probably 3d print one haha, great video
Take a flat rectangular plastic bottle, like some detergents, and cut it vertically in half and through the (screw on) top. Just heat the neck to give it a little bend. Voila! You have a sorting tray.
Best shirt you’ve ever worn
Love the random stuff videos
It's awesome that I get to watch You work Ryan 😅. Such a relaxing day it is too. Waiting in great anticipation for the Start of your kitchen build.
Please add a rail and some sand or step strips for added grip to the steps, winter is coming soon!
Oh and it would be super cool if you learned how to use sketch up to share those bat box plans.
Cabin looks great!! LOVE the color!
If you want to go overboard on the leanto when you replace the tarp, add a concrete floor to it so you don't have to worry about the ground freezing around the door anymore.
You truly are unique...your talent is amazing....I enjoy your videos...stay safe...
now THIS is a tool shed. loving the incremental improvements and happy that you're sliding out of your 'Rona symptoms. thanks for having us all along for the adventure.
You can use that expansion bit and a hole saw to make mortise and tenon joints with logs for whatever
Building a sunbrella tent would be great content....and... I seriously think about buying myself a heavy duty sewing machine to make some tents for myself and family. 😎👍
Ah! This is the motivation I need to organize my shed!

Ryan another good idea love it love the stain on the cabin looks awesome 👍🇺🇸🙏❤️💖🥰💕🇺🇸
❤ great vid. Great job organizing. Saves time when everything has its own place.
Looking great!
While you're in a tent during the summer, why not hang a large tarp' over the deck attached to the trees or 4 poles against the deck? That'd save your fly's from sunburn etc... Just a thought.
Man cave looks great can’t have too much ammo it’s like gold great video as always good by summer hello fall weather and you are ready for it
Drill bit be perfect size for a bat house
I use the 22 shotshell for carpenter bees. Works great.
the Bit ( as we are going to call it ) @ 31:32 would be good to make a stump rocker stove / Swedish torch , etc etc etc But you may need an extension
You should build a sauna after the kitchen. Maybe repurpose the wood stove.
Feel better soon your man cave officially a tool shop .if that's what u want that will be so cool
Why don't you 3D print some more of them Tool shed looking good nice job be happy be safe see you next week
Isn't it about time you had a go at treehouse or tree platform... building a structure to hold a cople of half totes on a tree would be a great practice project. Treehouse masters was a great series... loads of info on how to attach to atree and how to build the platform!
Thanks for my weekly dose of ringworm. You can 3D print yourself more of those screw sorters, although you probably only need one :)
I think the cool kids call it the ‘Rona.
Still going to dig a well?
Outdoor kitchen would be cool.
The tool room looks great !!!!
Great content dude. I’ve been binge watching and picking up some interesting and good tips. Blessings, from this old man in northeast Tennessee.
Stoked on the kitchen build

Awesome job brother 🏆👍👍😁
One of my favorites!

Mornin 👊😎👍
Place looks great.
You’re really fun to watch👏😁☮️❤️
Just ordered two of the sorting trays. Thanks for the idea.
im exited for the kitchen!
I would build more than more than one output. Several thousands of batboxes put them all the way around you do you're area?
Yes one of the best places to be
Great video. Organization can make things so much easier at time. Shot shells for mosquitoes...in Alaska they only piss them off
Good job
I think you could make a righteous canvas big tent. put a stove in it... winter or summer.
Simply amazing! So looking forward to the kitchen

Hope you haven’t TWS’d the porch yet! If so you’ll find it a skating rink when water, snow or ice is added.
T-S looks nice. Nails have higher sheer strength. The only lasting things of Party's are consequences. Ron. PTL USA
Pier blocks and a few beams. 8 inches of tamped gravel. Under
I really enjoy your Saturday vids. Thanks.
Have you thought about a borehole to save the search for water? Could also save the freezing problem with a bit of insulation and a solar water heater.
22 long rifle ammunition. You can not ever have enough. By the way, going to your own range is the most beneficial way to recover.
