I've heard a few of Riley's songs that have really encouraging messages in them. A question to consider though, ... if we move, act, and look like the world... either in our character, conversation, action, music style, or lifestyles with the idea to get a message for Christ across, how would they really be able to tell us as believers in Christ, apart from the rest.? The worldly presentation will drown out the message and connection to Christ. The focus is to confirm as Roman 12:2 tells us, but to stand apart, be the light and draw others to Christ. I'm not condemning Riley or her heart for God. But it is very important not to mislead people to believe that as the world does in the entertainment industry, so should the people of God. Pray on it and think about it. This isn't a "hater" message... it is a shining light message with love. God bless.
That’s a good question that we should all consider, but Riley did a great job with this song. I think the message of it is amazing. It’s about the importance of mental health and not letting your negative thoughts get the best of you. Yes, this song doesn’t mention God but it’s still wonderful. And who’s to say it won’t lead someone to God? What if someone who isn’t a Christian were to listen to this song and think “wow this is great, let me find some of her other songs” and they’d stumble across songs that mention God’s name and try to form a relationship with Him. Sometimes the way to bring people to God is through not mentioning Him specifically. I’m not saying we should stop shining our lights or be ashamed of who we are, but when some people hear a song with God’s Name in it, they turn it off. So this song is a great way to bring people to God.
I've been thinking the same. I'm glad we have more and more christian songs that actually sound nice, but I'm getting very tired of songs that give the same vibe as secular ones. I need a clear difference between songs that are about God regarding lyrics and not some songs that sound the same as others

For all of you people saying that Riley isn't Christian anymore, you might need to think about what you just said. I understand you are a little bummed and confused why there is no mention of Jesus here. I completely understand that. Riley stated that this is for mental health and what's wrong with that? Recently I've been having a hard time and I cried out for God to help me about my anxious thoughts, a few minutes later I found this song. I believe, for me at least, this song is telling me to not let the devil control me in fear and instead follow God. It might not be directly saying stuff a out God, but it definitely says that you should not let distractions fill your head instead of what really matters.

My mom hurt me a bunch when I was a kid. I was a foster child till 19years old. My mom came to visit me this past year. All she wanted to do was dewell on the past. Haven't lived there in 20 years. The day she left after 2 months this song had came across the radio. It helped me get past the anger I've been harvesting onto and has helped me to move on.
