How to paint Sakura / Cherry Blossom Flowers

- Hey guys! I'm back with another tutorial. I haven't done flower tutorials for a while, so I decided to make one again. and this one got a bit too long so I end up separating the final painting into another video, and I hope that that's ok with you guys. But I tried including several examples of exercises that you can do before painting this one, so hopefully it will help you out in approaching to paint the sakura flowers. Guyyss, I'm so sorry, I've realised that I made a mistake in the vid. Its supposed to be vermilion (warm red) but I wrote and said veridian instead 😂😂😂 didn't realise until someone pointed it out. I always always always mix the two names for some reason lol. So sorry in advance, I hope that the colours will make more sense now 😅

This flower drawing tutorial is everything. The bowl was very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and it's good to see someone mix a red with white. I find that it is the only way that I can get a soft, but visibly satisfying pink. To each his or her own, but I like the effect more than a very watered down red mixture for some things.

Thanks for taking the time to show your process from the beginning. It's easy to forget that the most important step in creating a piece of art is planning and study. You shared how you plan out choosing color and making swatches, as well as how you plan your different angles for the flowers. This was very helpful to me. Can't wait to watch your next video on creating the painting.
So glad this was helpful for you! Yes, I don't always show it but most of the dime because I'm painting according to suggestions, a lot of subjects that I paint isn't something I'm used to making, so I have to do the studies behind the scenes xD
