One of the reasons I enjoy your reaction videos is that you get as emotionally involved in this universe/mythology and characters as I do. When I see you reacting so strongly, I find it reassuring, like I know, 'okay, it's not just me." 🤧
I really can't wait to see the other episodes, the premise is very interesting and fresh. Also it very interesting the fight scene and the use of medieval and flintlock weapons, I always wondering how people would fight back in countries that don't have a huge gun ownership as it is in the united states.
In the book WWZ by Max Brooks, they talk about Europeans having to turn to medieval weapons in museums to defend themselves, and castles once again becoming fortresses against the zombie hordes.
Since Laurent has premonitions/receives messages from God ( he sketched Daryl on the beach three weeks before he arrived ) I wonder if he left the blue bucket of fresh water on the beach for Daryl to drink the day he washed ashore in France.
@itsleander I'm sure Laurent is smart enough to sneak out. Also, I can see the Nuns taking him to the beach to play and then he leaves the bucket of fresh water for Daryl. As you said, maybe Isabelle left it for Daryl because of Laurents message from ....
I think the term 'Messiah' is very loaded. Of course for a group of nuns it's one thing, but how it plays out for the future is another. Can he become the person that restores Europe out of this new Dark Age? Why not? If deep seated empathy is what that world lacks the most, and a vision for unity inspires enough people in 10-15 years, that can be when larger societies return.
You know I'm a pretty outspoken atheist and i really hope they lean hard into the faith side of things. Its a super interesting take on twd universe. Great episode. Solid start
Yea. It’s certainly won’t go into any supernatural etc stuff. But I think that group shows their perception in their own way. They perceive Lorent to be special in that he’s extremely intelligent and mentally gifted. And that he will a great tool to help the world.
When the walker or whatever grabbed Daryls arm. He let it hold far too long. Mayne he.d received less damage is scarring but He should have stabbed it straight away.. Also when the guy heard the kid lock the door but Simone called him away he knows he heard something.. at the very least finish what u started if u was due of someone behind the door.
@@rumham7466 It really was just another retread of the whole Maggie and Negan thing they already pretty much wrapped up in Season 11. I wouldn't say bad, but the only thing fresh and new about it was the setting.
I liked it and so far these new spin-off's have been really good Dead City check✅ Daryl Dixon check✅ off to a great start. I'll see how the rest of the season goes. And of course we still have the biggie the grand spin-off coming Rick & Michonne.
I'm not saying I'm not interested, cause I'll be tuning in every Sunday, but this show seems like it was supposed to be its own thing, but someone didn't want it. They added Daryl Dixon and zombies and made it a part of the Walking Dead universe and got the green light.
Why do I feel like that crazy monastery - going on about a messiah - started this whole damn thing in the first place? Why else would they be keeping a zombie priest, and know so much about variants?
I think the variants have been there for awhile, who knows how long? Being religious and conflating zombies with resurrection has happened before. I think this started in a lab, usual experiments gone wrong.
Hello 🙋🏻♂️👋🏻 How angry that the series is not yet in my country, even more so AMC+ has not even arrived yet and it said it would arrive this September, it is a disappointment 😞 I really like your reaction video and I am enjoying it 😊✨
Burners? Smarter, faster Walkers? Are the French scientists trying to weaponise them or just stumbling around in the dark and these variants are accidents?
I love it as much as Dead City. Of course anything with our Walking Dead original characters is going to be good. I live for your Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead reactions. 🥰 Keep up the great work. 😊
This show was originally supposed to focus on Daryl and Carol, but the show is filmed in Europe and that became logistically untenable for Melissa McBride, so she had to bow out.
Yes since Melissa decided not to do it they had to do some script rewrites. It definitely would have been interesting if she did to it how different the show might have been with Carol there.
@YouMe-ru6wi the original idea was for Daryl and Carol to be cross country in America, not another country and that TWD series would still be ongoing. They would show up in the OG series every once in awhile then they would leave again in order for the continuity with their show to be maintained somewhat. Once TWD got canceled, then those plans ended and they decide to give Daryl his own show.. If Carol does show up in the second season, she would probably on be there for like 2 episodes then leave again, she's not gonna be permanent.
I find Daryl quite uncharacteristically trusting in this show. Like he really let his guard down with those two people, and rather casually opened up about his Father who I don't think he's really talked about to anyone but Merle.
It felt like The Walking Dead but at the same time fresh and new. I loved it and can’t wait for next episode.
100% It’s so hard to explain but what Dead City was missing, this show has. It feels properly in the universe and really genuine.
If Daryl wasn't in it I'd think it was a totally different universe but that's a great thing. Loved it

Character "Isabelle" is being played by the actress who played Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter
It was great seeing Daryl again and I love the tone of this show! It feels like something new and different but with all the elements we love.
its nice to see Daryl back doing Daryl sh*t.

The universe must hate to see our group show up. Everyone always dies no matter how hard we try to save them
I like how they gave him that wide shot walking into the city like Rick got in the beginning on horse back. 2:14

I don't think he is allowed to leave the Abbey, but maybe Isabelle did since she knows about the drawing.

I enjoyed this first episode compared to the dreadful dead city with Maggie and negan which i thought was awful but this has a better vibe about it
omg yes… dead city was really bad and nothing really new in the universe..
Did it get any better? I watched the first episode and half watched the second but gave up

Yessss Fall and Winter really mix with TWD.
I LOVED this. I can’t wait for the next episode
I'm suprised you didn't recognise the main num actress from Harry Potter and the fire gobbler .I mean goblet of fire

It has been confirmed that she will be in season 2

i couldnt care at all for that negan, maggy spinoff (especially due to hyped but vile Maggy)..... but this Daryl D spinoff has my attention for 100%
Maggie is annoying as hell but I liked it more than I thought I would
I love this show so far. But I prefer Daryl & Carol. They are the perfect dynamic duo.
Yeah, Carol can sit on the sidelines for a while.
Who knows Carol was on that boat where Daryl was on too? They mentioned "prisonerS" at the end of the episode, at the harbor.
walkers don't evolve
Walkers don’t exist so yeah
@@DukeJimbob she said evolved walkers and these variants were mutated from walkers
And yet you know exactly what she meant so why point it out. To evolve is to change, same thing.
