This was so much fun watching this. Its like John Wick and Spy family combined. Him fearing his wife divorcing him because can't kill and now his family keeps getting better.
Also Sakamoto has one of the best action choreography in manga so the fights can be nuts, that's why people are very tight on the animation and wish it was looser for dynamic movements similar to blue lock complaints but this is better so far. Can't wait for more crazy moments to be adapted.
you're not the only one who has posted the video about Sakamoto Days being irrationally hated for no reason whatsoever, honestly, it feels like some of those people are on stupid pills or something, they shouldn't judge the anime in such irrational manner.
tbh I thought initially people were making 3 people out to be the majority but yeah Japanese fans were very salty before it even came out. it's good to see many call out the BS though
@@AHBrandonReviews I know right?, they need to think before they act, and if you ask me, it feels like they've forgotten what it's like to enjoy a show.
I think the anime looks good still but it could be a lot better. Most people complaining are manga readers and it makes sense. To anime onlys Sakamoto Days might seem like a casual slice of life/comedy anime mixed with a bit of action, but there's actually a lot more focus on the action and fights, especially later on. The fights in the manga are as good as it gets, so it's a little disappointing to see that it's getting B tier series treatment despite being consistently in shonen-jump's top 5 manga since it's release. Episodes 1 and 2 were still fun though and some people are definitely overreacting a bit.
Love makes people blind, deaf and dumb. (And it's true IRL.) Rational people make the most insane life choices because of love. Love is a blessing as well as a curse. Aoi made a choice, but it forces Taro to make a couple of hard choices too. Choices so obvious that Taro could not sweep under the table. It was a good thing the moment worked out in the end.
They released the final trailer prior to this episode and I was much more optimistic. After watching the episode I can confirm that I am still optimistic! The first fight they show of him in the past was only one page in the manga. I was hoping they would extend that scene so we could see more of Sakamoto in the past. The fact that they did shows that they're willing to add additional scenes. The warehouse fight was also extended, both shin fighting alone and Sakamoto fighting! The voice acting and OST were also great. If they keep up things like that I know this will be a solid adaptation!
The best aspect i think is how he's gonna take down stronger and stronger assassins that get sent after him without killing them. Cause thats a Japanese wife down to a t, man fears the Divorce Papers.
I did read a lot of the manga and thought the trailer was pretty lackluster but it wasnt bad or anything. And what dyk the first ep was pretty good! Def the internet overreacting as usual. Very excited for the upcoming eps
I think people should view this show as more of a SoL Comedy with a side of Action like I do to really enjoy it. Love the dynamic in this show, can't wait to see more next week!
I just laugh at the fact that every time I look at Sakamoto I think these trained hitman are getting their ass beat by the coach from the slam dunk anime
It was so much fun to watch right seeing Sakamoto and Shin duking it out. I really loved Sakamoto's improvised weaponry that reminded me of Samwise Gamgee beating the shit out of the Goblins in Moria.
That's the thing, people go into an adaption of a popular series expecting MAPPA/Jujutsu Kaisen quality. That's just not realistic. Either way, the production for this did not disappoint.
I get the manga reader to some extent, like ive seen some panels from the manga and it looks great with amazing choreography as well but again im anime only so im not conflicted the anime is very fun and enjoyable (story wise+ characters) the visuals were okay the animation is solid and some scenes even look good, overall for me it was better than 20 series that im watching this season so yeah imma stick.
I honestly don't care what people say about this show. This is the closest thing that we got to an equivalent to a "John Wick" style of show - and I'm definitely here for it! Hopefully, there will many seasons of this. But, even one season is even good enough for me. I say bring it on! Cheers!!! \(^.^)/
It was only a small sector of manga readers as usual who act like elitist whenever an anime does look ufotable-ish or mappa like. This adaptation look and feels exactly like the manga! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥These early arcs are good but it's not even close to the great shit. Most people in Japan and worldwide outside of the Twitter rage warriors love it! Its literally trending worldwide as we speak 😎💪🏿
Since this dropped 2 episodes at once... I can't watch it right now. It's late but you can bet I'll definitely get to it tomorrow when I'm taking a break from my studies. I don't think this show looks bad. Granted, I know the manga has been praised for having some great choreography which is why some of the hate comes from. I didn't even realise the Japanese also don't like how this show looks until a week or so ago. So yeah, this show has a mountain to climb and it didn't even start until now. I think it's a little unfair to the studio who got this and wanted to work on it. Yes they aren't Mappa/Ufodable/Wit or Madhouse but from some of the action I can see they are trying to animate it. It may not be to everyone's liking but they are trying even if the production schedule wasn't the greatest or they didn't have the talent but it's not bad in the slightest. Tbh... I'm fine if most of this cour looks decent/good since I've heard there isn't that much crazy action in cour 1. I'm more looking forward to cour 2 since that's when we will see the real stuff but I'm definitely going to enjoy this and not give two shits about people complaining unless it falls off a cliff and looks like most of Blue Lock S2... Then we will have a problem.
I liked the first two episodes😊It hurts me that people are digging so early that Sakamoto Days is gonna suck but it’s actually good so far😊And the wife threatening divorce if our boy kills again😘
Yeah, while I understand wanting the most top tier of animation for a manga known for great action, giving it the OPM treatment might not necessarily be better, since Sakamoto relies more on his crafty unique ability to use his surroundings, and if it was mind watering animation, then that could get lost in the process.
I only listen to what my head says. I don't listen to the internet, especially source readers. And my head says this is a fun show. Btw, are you watching the Otaku NEET Kunoichi? It is a half-length anime, but it is fun and hilarious ^_^
I wouldn't go anywhere near as far as to say this would be anime of the season but it is fun as heck. I am adding it to my current watchlist. This season, Ishura Wednesdays, Dr. Stone Thursdays, Dragon Ball Daima Fridays, Sakamoto Days and Solo Leveling Saturdays and Shangri-La Frontier Sundays. At least so far. If anyone has suggestions for more anime, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays, I am all ears.
@AHBrandonReviews Of course. Taste is subjective. But this season is stacked. Could definitely be best new anime but I don't think it can compete directly with ongoing sequels.
I don't want to give spoiler but doesn't end of episode 1 end with something happening to Shins voos that goes against the whole concept of main character? Like everyone else sure they fine but last guy idk looked final
People already said it sucked before it even came out that preconceived notion caused the hate(mainly because of the opening) the same people who said those things are backpedaling hard on social media currently Another text book case of don't judge an anime before it airs
Fun Fact: This is not the best part of the story lol Sakamoto - Gintama, Escanor, Gyomei VA Shin - Mahito, Nagi, Shuichi VA Can't believe Sakamoto has an anime already and we all wanted the mappa treatment but tms is adapting it really well imo. The new big three Sakamoto, Dandadan and Kagurabachi are almost all anime adaptations can't wait for Kagurabachi one day.
This show doesn't deserve any of the hate it got this was gas . Btw had a guy in the comments of the anime be like ( please give me context ?) i said no because you are not gonna make me write an essay about this when you have the net now Google it.
This anime just makes me want to watch jonhwick or gintama and spy family again and it is just a good watch good action scenes but it lacks the slice of moments that i was expecting or is it just me
Tbh 😂this always happens people get on Twitter they whine etc and so forth i remember last yr when X-men 97 before it came out they showed a small picture of the X-men landing from ep 1 then people said WTF Disney I swear u cg u what if this shit . And well their mouths were sewn shut when studio mir pop out and showed these clowns. Same applies to Sakamato days yes the first two trailers were just ok or average the final trailer was the best ironically it was dubbed but my point is the show is pretty good . I’m not expecting every anime this season or the next to look like the recent episode of solo leveling or Dandandan from last yr or the finale of blue lock at the end . On Feb on Amazon I’m not expecting invincible to have Sakuga 😂animation like Castlevania nocture if it looks solid that’s all that matters. The opening of Sakamato isn’t bad it’s decent like a throwback mid 2010 ass opening that’s not a bad thing .
Hmmm. I have the first episode open right now. I will opine about the first 2 episodes in a little over an hour. But here's a comment. And the view-time. Cuz I likez ya.
I think the dislike is based on previous shonen jump titles, that aren't as popular as My Hero/JJK, that were great mangas but had pretty bad anime adaptations. Examples being Undead Unluck and Yozakura Families. Lots of Shonen Jump titles are great but the side mangas that are also great don't get as much love in terms of animes.
Hey, I'm getting to that point where I'm easier to please too with anime. It's just not worth it to constantly complain about anime and how it looks. I just enjoy a series for what it is. Not every single anime can be uber god tier stuff. As long as I'm entertained that's good enough for me.
Again just enjoy the damn show like honestly not everything has to be perfected people who acted like that a just crazy and if you don't like it don't ruin it for anime watchers and get lost honestly.
Yeah i don't understand the hate i'm a manga reader and so far it looks amazing, apparently if anime don't have demon slayer level animation it's instantly bad
The anime is fine. It's just that the action in the manga is way too detailed, that's why manga readers have very high expectations for the anime. As long as the studio is given enough time to work on it, the animation quality should be okay.
As a Sakamoto Days fans, the constant complaining was insufferable. Like when you look at something like Reddit (which tbf sometimes is just as bad as Twitter), the complaining takes up half of the forum sometimes. The thing is you can't even blame people most of the time for complaining (considering they waited years for this), but at the same time it just feels entitled when people say "X should have taken up SD" or "TMS suck balls" or something along that line when all it's said and done. To a certain extend I do agree with them but there are just so much complaining with little to no hype that it was just draining to engage with the community. I myself do hope a better studio take up season 2, my personal pick being Bones or even A1 but that's just me.

Sakamoto could be the grandson of Yor Forger, if we take things chronogically.
sick show, Love the Vaundy intro and remind of Ranking of Kings. It is great and recommend it
I still don't get why people hated the show when it wasn't even out sure the opening isn't the best. But man the action is so cool.
idk it's the sheep mentality and expecting too much is my best guess
Some people were angry over VA of sakomot that he did not fit the rule
I think the opening is pretty decent... Visually it's okay, the song is pretty good so it's like 7/10. Vaundy does deliver most definitely

Yes yes Sakamoto my badass hitman
Some people will complain about everything just to look cool, the criticism was so off the point, they make no sense.
