That bit where the four of them meet up after 20 years is by far the highlight of the movie. I didn't know any of these characters (at least the MCU versions) until now and I was immediately as invested in them as I was in Natasha's story, which is both a credit to the writing and directing as well as the actors, all of whom did an excellent job. Black Widow's fake little family that somehow is the only real family they all ever knew was just beautiful to see. Little things like the song that Alexei sings for Yelena, Melina's saying about how "pain only makes you stronger" that helped both Natasha and Yelena survive the Black Widow program as children, the fact that Melina named her favorite pig Alexei and even kept the Red Guardian suit at her farm for 20 years made them so believable and made me accept that these people, for whatever reason you want to argue, ended up caring for each other and have existed all along even if they're obviously retconned into the MCU.
Me too I never knew about these characters. I just don’t read the comics nor know how to find ways to read them, because I’m not sure witch app is better for comic reading!
Rachel is such a great actress. No matter the part she just draws you in. She was great in Black Widow! I can never not watch her in Bourne Legacy. How she & Jeremy (two people in two total different worlds) that would normally not like each other or become friends) but b/c of their multiple ‘life & death’ situations they actually develop a kind of love for each other. The two scenes in that movie: (1) where Rachel finally discovers why Jeremy’s character needs to stay mentally enhanced (b/c he has a learning disability & his actual IQ is so low he couldn’t have enlisted in the Army); & the 2nd scene (in the hotel room) where Jeremy wants her to leave b/c he is so sick & he is afraid the injection might not work. He tells Rachel’s character that “she’s a warrior”. But she can’t leave him. Those two scenes (while there is no crying) are so emotional. You can see the emotions they are feeling on their faces, even though very little is spoken between them.
Lmao yes. I'm here again because I saw that on twitter (when I first watched this video I didn't even notice haha). Btw Florence went ☺ to 😐 so quickly
I don't understand why you'd say that. My only complaint with this movie is that I wanted to see Hawkeye and Black Widow in Budapest, see how they met and her integration with SHEILD, but the movie we got was still good

This is an interesting topic they are talking about in here. It’s something I try to explain that you can feel in these MCU pictures that some people don’t realize and it started with Favraeu & Downy Jr. laying down an independent film spirit of slight improvisation where the actors often feel like anything can happen. I think of Michael Pena in Ant-Man or Kathryn Hahn in Wandavision … or all of Ragnarok, and they and more highlight that these aren’t cookie cutter films and while there are formulas at play (as is the case with all serialized films) they have an energy that keeps them unique.

Some ppl hate the movie because of what they did to the taskmaster character but it was incredibly great. It may not be a comic accurate but it was a huge success. GJ marvel :)
After 12 years of Marvel movies, these comic readers still can't get the grip of time constraint, resource constraint, budget constraint in making a huge cinematic universe. They think making a movie, let alone a huge cinematic universe, is like by sitting in front of 2 or 3 monitor with drawing pads and reading story boards and come up with comic mags or books at the end of the day.
All these interviews with David Harbour being released today, he keeps mentioning he hasnt seen the final cut?!?! Marvel/Kevin let him see it already!! lol
There should be a black widow 2 with scarlett and Florence, even though there isn't a time in the between the avengers ploy that they could do it, but the chemistry between them is so good
Probably because she didn't have negative experiences with him, luckily (unlike poor Gal Gadot and many others). That was definitely due to Kevin Feige being there to supervise things. Also, Scarlett, Renner, Jackson and RDJ were big stars, so Whedon had to behave. He totally would've released his scummy side without any of the aforementioned people involved, and if Scarlett had been a smaller actress (like Elizabeth Olsen at that time). Case in point: Justice League. DC doesn't have a Kevin Feige who could put Whedon on a leash.
The movie was absolutely stunning, the director made justice to Natasha and gave her another meaning to what makes her an avenger. She beautifully brought Black Widow back to life and introduce some really amazing characters, specially Yelena, who makes her introduction to the new generation of marvel heroes. Can’t wait to see more of her.
That last minute of this interview demonstrates that the cliche of, "You have to believe in yourself or nobody else will believe in you" is not always the case. Sometimes as a mentor you have to recognize talent and let them know that you see what they are capable of and you believe in them even when they themselves don't think they can do it. It would have been easy for Kevin to say, hey women aren't banging down my door so I have to go with another male director. He and Marvel didn't take no for an answer and now we the fans benefited from that decision...... ✌🏾✌🏾
Just struck me - Lily Allen, Zach Braff, Daniel Craig, Colin Jost - all 4 of the topline actors currently have partners who have also succeeded in the spotlight themselves - it doesn’t mean anything, of course.

I wish we could have seen Black Widow in the theater.
Then go see it in the theater
@@Foxtrot5 wow how could I've never thought of that
@@turtledove2095 lol
David seems like a reliable company guy. I kinda feel like he should've had a more prominent role in the MCU
I’m looking forward to seeing more of Yelena but I’m not looking forward to saying goodbye to The Black Widow/Natasha Romanov/Natalie Rushman
Whatever name she goes by, she will always hold a special place in millions of poeples hearts. Thank you.
The casting, the acting, the dialogue, the humour (and execution) was nothing short of gold!
So grateful for you sharing such a fun and great video for a film I'm so excited for since I'm a big Black Widow/Natasha fan/reader. Many thanks!
Table scene was one of the best scenes in the movie.... funny, poignant, and so relatable!
Kevin Feige really gets the Marvel characters. So glad he's running the entire MCU.
I watched the movie twice and i’m gonna watch it again this week😂 honestly it was the best of MCU to me
Y'all did a superb job, I watched it 4 times
There should be a movie about Budapest. There should also be one before she defected, when she worked for the Reds.
I know Yelena will have very good part in MCU...but i want so much to see Red Guardian in action again :D
Imagine him and star lord making non sensical jokes 😂
@@rohanrajn7418 hahaha it’s gonna be wild.
And fat Thor looking at him and saying hmm you look familiar
18:07 in case if you're looking for the WHEDON shit
thank you
Thank you luci
lol i was looking for this thanks. Scarlett always says a bunch of BS things and praising Whedon doesn’t surprise me from her
@@adamsbriee6330 luckily we can seperate a role from the actor right?
Cough cough *Captain Marvel*
Also Joss Whedons work which is the only thing she accomplishes...
@@seancoetzee5399 captain marvel? what exactly did brie larson do? bc whenever i look into it instead of letting people on the internet tell me how to feel, i always just find misinterpreted quotes and a bunch of guys jumping the hate bandwagon
God it was so good!!!! They are such great on screen sisters I loved them😂❤️
Can't wait to see more of Yelena! Florence is the best!!
It's so amazing that they ever doubted that dinner scene because it is the best scene in the whole movie. All the actors did such an amazing job.
Now after watching Black Widow
it hurts a lot more to lose her in the endgame😭
I've just watched the movie it was totally MIND-BLOWING so dramatical it was giving me the chills every single second of it and that's exactly what I wanted and expected from scarlett 👏👏👏 she is the most amazing actress I have ever seen!! The whole cast did an amazing job also!! No words can describe how much it touched me their acting was for sure the most awesome experience I had in my life totally worth waiting 11 years!!❤❤❤ I wish for Feige to bring Scarlett back🙏🙏🙏 she is a total revelation!! JUST GIVE HER THE OSCAR ALREADY!!! SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE QUEEN!!❤❤
I legit loved the movie so much I’ve been a fan since I was 7 and now I’m 15 😭
Marvel/Kevin let him see it already!! lol
He saw it at the premiere after this don’t worry lol
Rachel is still a 10. So glad to see her again. Florence....er mer gerddd, in love.
Great to see that we’re keeping numbers on women lol
There should be a black widow 2 with scarlett and Florence, even though there isn't a time in the between the avengers ploy that they could do it, but the chemistry between them is so good
rachel and florence are absolutely stunning
scarlett is absolutely stunning!
Surprised Scarlett mentioned Joss Whedon in a positive light when the movie is very much about the Me Too movement.
yea, the avenger cast seems to never had a problem with Joss
maybe its Marvel, they really know how to make their talents happy
@@sodeiku or they just rather keep connections for future roles lmao, scarj* also talks positive about Woody Allen 🤯
I love all of them so much! Such a wholesome cast!
big shout out to D.Harbour for the HUMOR
Just sad that Taskmaster was reduced to a mute robot virtually
No
Just struck me - Lily Allen, Zach Braff, Daniel Craig, Colin Jost - all 4 of the topline actors currently have partners who have also succeeded in the spotlight themselves - it doesn’t mean anything, of course.
Florence and zach’s age difference is still so bonkers to me ☺️✌️
@@_birdie people who look after themselves and blessed with good genes are living to 100+ on the regular, they could be together for another 50 years. Of course it’s Hollywood so just as likely to split up tomorrow, but they seem to get on really well and function well as a couple, give each other space and respect.
@@Rockky67 oh I just meant their age difference in general. Not how long they’ll be able to be together. But yeah Hollywood is insane w the length of their relationships for sure.
We're a long way from reopening theaters in our country, so I watched at home. And I really wish I'd seen it in a big screen.
I'm really gonna miss Nat 😭
That dinner scene is my favorite.
Plot Twist: this movie is Yelena's origin story.
Yep. They tried to do so much in this movie that black widow kind of became a side character and didn’t get a proper send off
amazing interview
Florence Pugh..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Legendary film.
Watched this last night and man it was GOOD! I would love to see more of Yelena and Taskmaster. Action scenes, acting and storytelling all were amazing! Bravo again Marvel 👏. In Feige we believe 🙌🤣

"And she is a science teacher "
No.
Nah. You just stole that idea from Eric Voss in New Rockstars.
@@eatsmylifeYT it's actually pretty obvious, I actually expect the general public to notice this, I bet a lot more people have pointed the Hulk relation too, you're just not one of them.

Saw this movie for my birthday in IMAX with my brother and ten of my good friends. We filled up the whole row of twelve seats. For some of my friends it was their first time seeing a movie in IMAX, they loved the experience. We laughed, cried, and had a wonderful time. Going to post a vlog on my channel soon.
Everyone who hasn’t watched it yet NEEDS TO! It’s so good at the end with all the action
I like the movie a lot solid 8 out of 10 I like the taskmaster twist it works in the context of this movie man
So glad you screened it in theaters.

Kate Shortland did a Great job! Very happy for her!
fwaahhh Kevin gave David a LOOK!!! I was afraid for him! haahahahaaaa Kevins mind moves visibly a million miles a minute yet the way he projects his voice while even checking himself, whilst still creating the right amount of intrigue, i could watch all day!!
Lovely dynamic among all the actors/producers.
I wish I could've seen it in theatres, but unfortunately my province's government has dropped the ball on reopening them, among many other things. At least I got it on Disney+ though, went to my buds place and had a "movie night" by ordering popcorn n watching it on his big screen.
