    Awesome review, I’m just watching video as I’m ordering one later on today.
    Just can’t decide on the essential trunk or the trunk plus 😀

    • @STAYHEEN
      @STAYHEEN  Рік тому +5

      I highly recommend essential trunk not the plus! Even mine I easily go overweight for international flights and that's my problem cause it has so much space to put things in😂

    I hate the velcro divider.. hopefully they’re back to zipper, manageable and neat

    Good review. One thing though, indeed some aluminum Rimowa pieces are made in the Czech Republic. The reviewer The Dubai Expat has the same trunk but in aluminum, made in CZ. Same high quality? Don’t know. He thinks his trunk is not finished as well as his other aluminum Rimowa luggage.

    • @STAYHEEN

      Glossy material is recommended! It still gets a bit of scratches but not too bad. Sadly the trip I got this back was the last flight for this year lol. I've used one time when I filmed this video and it was pretty fine.

    I had a bad experience with rubber handles..in time rubber ages and becomes brittle...i just hope this one will take longer time before it does...

    Debating if I should get the polycarbonate or aluminum check in large! 😬

    • @shalealbao
      @shalealbao Рік тому +2

      I have the check-in large in aluminium, it’s fine if I fly business, but if economy/premium economy, it exceeds weight 😅

  • @priskalie6235
    @priskalie6235 3 роки тому +2

    hello, do you know if the larger one (trunk plus) can be checked-in as normal luggage? i mean not charged as an oversized? 😊

    • @agnesf2659
      @agnesf2659 2 роки тому +6

      Ramowa trunk XL/plus can be checked in without any problem even just for a economy ticket holder. I tried myself 50+ times in the past 5 yrs.

    A bottom handle is thr most important handle in these trunk bags, and for 1k ya think these guys would put one in. Not worth the price tag.

      All RIMOWA is made in Germany or Italy!

    • @sophie-annew7743
      @sophie-annew7743 2 роки тому +10

      Just a bit insider tip, they are all made in China, but are assembled in other ‘fancy’ countries (such as Italy or Germany), so that they can put the ‘Made in Italy’ on the trunk and sell for luxury goods price. That’s the loophole every luxury company is exploiting. Same thing goes with most models of Prada, Gucci, and Burberry as far as I know, and perhaps other brands that I am not aware of. So the moral of the story is perhaps: 1. You are not buying what you think you are buying. 2. Nothing wrong with made in China these days. Cheers.

      The luggage is manufactured in Canada, Germany or Czech Republic. None of the luggage is made in Italy.
