Hi guys I’m a 23 years old girl and sorry to let you read my long story, but I’m really struggling with this problem for yeas and maybe one of you had the same symptoms i have and can help me From childhood ( i don’t remember when exactly because i was a child) I always feel that I’m not breathing well , I don’t know how to describe it but i feel like I’m not satisfied with any breath i take( at rest or on doing any activity) all days, no day passed with normal smooth breathing ever. I also feel my breathing become worst when i lay down flat on my back with no pillows ( i can sleep on one low pillow but still feels like my breathing become worse than the baseline), i have no cough or swelling on my body at all , according to exercise , i can do light sport, but if i did a moderate or a hard exercise or lift a heavy thing for a certain period, my breathing would be worse for let me say one week ( very hard to catch my breath , a feel like my chest is tight) and then after that my breathing go back to its baseline ( not perfect but i can manage with it ) my heart rate is always high( at rest maybe 85-100), i was always telling my parents about this problem and my mom took me to many internists and they take brief history and physical exam and do some basic tests and say your daughter is normal( maybe she has anemia or anxiety), 2 years back i was really feeling bad about my self and my breathing ( I’m really struggling every day and every second and no one even doctor believes my symptoms) so in 2022 my mom took me to a cardiologist on a private hospital, and he was shocked ( how come this girl is suffering from chronic dyspnea and no one did advanced investigations) so he ordered me an ECG and an echocardiogram( I was saying on my mind i’m 100% sure my ejection fraction will be very low because I always thought that i have a heart failure because all my symptoms are like the symptoms of heart failure) my ecg was normal except for tachycardia and surprisingly my echo was perfectly normal(ejection fraction was 62 i think)!! I was shocked, at the end he gave me a beta blocker for my tachycardia and send me home and i tried to convince my self that I’m a healthy normal person, but no, I’m sure that there is something wrong about me ( shortness of breath or inability to catch a breath, easy fatiguability, claudication, feeling uncomfortable when lying flat, tachycardia ) for years every day cannot be normal,so after one year I went to other hospital to meet another cardiologist ( governmental hospital this time) the doctor took a very detailed history( I don’t have any family history of cardiac or lung disease) and did some basic tests like( tsh, cbc, sugar and lipid profile, vitamin D, renal function test and lung x ray) all where normal except for low vitamin d so they gave me a vitamin d supplement, he also repeated the ECG and echo , same results, ecg normal but tachycardia and the echo is normal and he did a monitor for one day( hight heart rate but no arrhythmias or something to worry about) and also did a stress test ( I could walk for only - [ ] 8 min) and he said it is okay but my heart rate became very fast from the beginning of the walk) and he diagnosed me with (inappropriate sinus tachycardia and gave me a beta blockers , I took them for 2 or 3 days and I did not feel well and felt like my breathing became worst and I’m actually not convinced with this diagnosis) this was 2 months ago and this is the end of my story, nothing changed with my breathing, I’m struggling in my life and every body is blaming me and thinking like i have nothing ( they say you are normal and all of this just from anxiety and your subconscious mind), I even cannot take a step in engagement and marriage because I think that I cannot deal with pregnancy and children with this bad breathing) I’m so worried about my future ( by the way I’m a medical student ), i cry every night and ask my god to help me and guide my to the right way , maybe you say, your tests are normal don’t worry but believe me when you are struggling very badly and you cannot know what is wrong with you and no one believes you it is the worst feeling you could ever feel Thank you for reading my looong story🙈😆 and sorry for my language, I’m an Arab so my English is not that good

He had an LVAD installed. It assists the heart, it doesn't replace it. It's usually used to help you wait for a heart transplant so his EF must've been below 30%. My EF was 15% when I was diagnosed but I was a difficult patient, I said I was too tired to consider hospitalization or going on the transplant list and insisted they just find some drugs to try first. Fortunately the drugs worked though admittedly it took a long time to do so. My cardiologist later told me he only went along with the meds cause he thought upsetting me would kill me. I suspect that he just acquiesced to being on the wait list and hence they went the LVAD route.
@@dm-wg7qk I was diagnosed with CHF, eighteen years ago. My EF was 15% when diagnosed. Fortunately I respond well to medications so after a year the EF was at 55% however it has dropped somewhat over the past two decades and of course if I have difficulty getting meds, it drops significantly and never quite recovers when medication is resumed. The last echocardiogram had the EF at about 24% but I think I can get it close to 40% this time if I'm careful. Of course it's when it stays below 30% that they start talking about LVADS and heart transplants. I often feel that this slow decline is worse than just dying.

Me too Brian.
How did you get it ?
I'm 32 as well and have been feeling really bad for the past 2 or so years, I'm too poor to get appointment with better doctors and public healthcare in my country is pathetic to say the least. I'm so fatigued, my legs get extremely tired after climbing stairs, I feel discomfort in chest, neck, I have dry eyes and light sensitivity, I wish I knew what my ailment is, I have no life anymore
@@wallacesousuke1433 there are medical apps and chatbots like ADA, Zini that give you a first advice. Based on that, you can go visit a doctor or try a home remedy etc.
How is Joe doing today? Is he still alive or passed away ?
Just been diagnosed with heart failure, was stage 4 but now between 2 and 3.
I don’t know how to take it, I’m 35 I don’t have any kids but I worry about leaving my gf on her own. Can someone level with me, how long do I have? Is it 5 years? 20 years? I can’t get an honest answer from anyone but in the hospital they all said how serious my condition was…. I just want to know
no one knows how long they have, doctors predictions tend to be off a good amount of the time, sometimes by several years, or some people have much shorter. you never know. i try to live with comfort that even if my life is to be cut shorter than most i have a chance to live the way i want and to the fullest i can. the human condition leaves us with regrets no matter what age. Its okay to cry, and feel hurt that we probably dont have the chance that plenty of others do, but theres also so many others who dont make it to our ages. In the end we will be alone, i hope you find some kind of comfort somewhere, we have to make our own. Live life hard and good luck♥️
I am heart hospital..my age 26 years..I had a heart attack..I have been admitted for three days.. Can I run ,and jump like before??
Ask your doctor.
I've had CHF since 2008 and all I did was take pill after pill after pill until I got sick of it, I got sick of paying visits to cardiologists who could care less about you, I take no more meds and I make no more visits so I'm just waiting for that final tick.
Diet plays a huge role in recovery, leave off carbs and all processed foods and you will begin to see healing.

im 21 and have crazy crackling cough for almost 2 weeks and im coughing up blood now. Going to the doctors in 2 days If I dont feel better.
Hi what was your outcome?
@@yugalsharma13 To be honest. Worse. I feel like body is failing me. I constantly cough. Occasionally some blood. Ive been to the doctors and they gave me antibiotics for my lungs which helped clear me out a bit. I cant tell if im depressed at this point but there is an overwhelming feeling of doom and that I might die anyday now. I have pains near my left chest area and I hope its my lungs and not my heart. At this point all I can do is thank god for every day I wake up. I fucked myself up with alchohol. This is the path I chose. Im only 22 but I think I was predisposed to heart and lung conditions. It's hard but all we can do is keeping moving. After all, we live to die.
@@yugalsharma13 Was not trying to scare you but this is truly how I feel and its only been 5 months since I started having symptoms. Get help as soon as possible.
@@TarePandaHelp please do not panic. At this point i suggest you should visit a pulmonologist (lung specialist). I think it's not your heart that's causing this symptom. If you have shortness of breath, fatigue, leg swelling or numb limbs, then it may be because of the heart issue. In any case, you should visit a specialist doctor soon.

@@johnwang9914 how about you? How many years are you fighting heart failure?
@@johnwang9914 thank you so much for replying sir! Wow,18 yrs, keep on fighting! I understand but pls.,but focus on getting better and living! I am asking coz today i also have heart issue,my 2D echo states my EF is 49% and im scared also having it go down and down..but i dont have the symptoms of heart failure and im scared, i hope i dont go there..what meds are you taking now? How old are you sir?
I wish to be a heart failure patient 🙂
