They kept yelling at him not to queue ranked but how do you get better at ranked if you don't play it???? Like yes unrated helps but people don't take it as seriously so the only way to learn is to play ranked. I feel so bad I hope he gets an amazing team that'll uplift him in the future.
That Reyna really only cares about kills that’s the problem, if she cared about not just kills and more so the whole team they wouldn’t tilt.
Finally someone said it, to learn to play ranked you need to be on it, same as other games, people just like to judge.
I think the problem is that reyna thinks comp is really competitive and wants to win but the phoenix thinks the opposite and in all fairness, didn't really think ahead on what was going to happen in the game
also the editor was making fun of the kid for his voice, something he can't change. just thought that was a bit weird
I do feel bad for the phoenix though, constantly being yelled at isn't very fun and doesn't make people play better
Nah I play unrated so much better than ranked like I can drop a 20-30 bomb but can barely get 10 kills
That’s why I started playing ranked lol I just enjoyed the game but weird shit happens in unrated. In low elos I think it’s fine not to take yourself too seriously so you can get better and have fun but I do get that it sucks when you’re hard stuck. At the end of the day tho it’s just a game even if it’s comp lmao

The Phoenix probably queued ranked because he wanted to go against people more his level, unrated is too much of a gamble so he went for ranked, it's not his fault he got put in their lobby

I remember when I played my first placement games and got in a plat/diamond lobby. Didn't know anything about the game and got shit on for 30 minutes because I didn't know how to mute. Really felt like shit.

yo the thing is i was in the similar situation as the phoenix, but like it was unrated :< i was picked on by top frag chamber w/22 kills becuz im a "female" when the rest of the team literally has the same kill as me (8 kills for the rest of us). it was a bad game for all of us cuz we couldnt frag as much but i was specifically picked on =.=

This is so sad because this phoenix is probably never going to queue valorant again. It's so disheartening to hear these things said to you when you're literally just trying to learn the game and get put in a gold lobby as a bronze player. This really shows one negative attitude can affect the whole lobby too.

bro i feel so bad for the Phoenix, i used to be hardstuck bronze-Silver for the longest time, yet i was always put in gold lobbies.
this gave me genuine anxiety because I have been where that phoenix was at too many times. I still am sometimes. I play the game just for fun and I don't sweat too much about tactics or lineups, etc. but when i do want to play well and be good at the game, i queue comp to get better, like phoenix had typed in chat. plus, theres literally no other way to rank up than to play comp, that kid was on something fs. and like the phoenix said, it IS just a game. it's not life or death. anyway.

I feel like the value of kills should be less then what it is, how is it helping if Reyna gets a bunch of kills but is also dying playing for kills.
From the looks of it he's playing just to have the highest kills to rank up, he has no sense of team playing. He just backseat games. It's no wonder he's ranking by himself.

i rarely ever play unrate and never comp i usually just do spike rush cause im new to the game and not very goodand i dont want to be stuck with rude teamates for a long time, im also still learning how to make use of agents abilities. im litterally too scared to do comp because i get people telling me im shit and then i do worse. like yes i know but let me be shit snd learn. i also got so many rude comments from the opposites team one time because i had a pride namecard T^T

I once got picked on for being bad and bottom fragging by our top frag. I had 2 kills and 18 assists, top frag had 20 kills and guess who was running behind me most of the time? Jup the top frag that blocked me and basically used me as their shield :)

Don’t que ranked then is so stupid, because everybody started out iron-bronze or some low rank in the start- and played just as badly or worse than him, and it’s not his fault he got placed in such a high rank lobby for some reason compared to his own rank. I’m sure against other bronze players he would’ve done fine
