Snake Eyes has been one of my all-time favorite characters since childhood, and I find it quite unfortunate that the G.I. Joe franchise as a whole has been very dormant lately, almost extinct, so when I first knew of this figure; I was very excited. Man this figure is incredible! It's got basically everything you would want from a figure, great paint apps, sculpt, accesories, and articulation; much like an import collectible! This figure is truly badass just like the silent commando-ninja its based off of, and I'm glad the G.I. Joe franchise in terms of collectibles is now back on the map by means of a 6" figure line just like Hasbro's own Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black series. Great review!
@@Hard70 Sorry for the late reply, UA-cam didn't give me a notification for this; but I honestly don't know how he would fit in the Marvel universe side of things lol. I couldn't find any image on the internet where he's sharing a panel with Marvel characters at all though, I just know Marvel publishes G.I. Joe comics. I don't know, try having him in a duel with Udon Taskmaster though if you have him, that'd be pretty cool as they both have that ninja-commando assasin look and skillset. 👌
I wish that every release in this GI Joe Classified Series was given this "Deluxe" treatment. Would definitely enjoy a Cobra Commander in this packaging

That's a bummer if true cause I was not on the fence of getting this at all. If COVID-19 was also a complication then I guess it's understandable. Wait, it doesn’t come with other Snake eyes head sculpts? I was really hoping for the original head sculpt. I’ll have to get an aftermarket first sculpt. I also am not real keen on the other figures, but the sculpts look ok, just going to do some repainting. Can’t wait to get this, I really hope it comes before July

I'm so glad he comes with proper weapons. He's probably the only one I'll get. I really don't like the nerf guns that come with the other figures in the line.
I have been enjoying mine for weeks, and finally could pull myself away to check reviews about them again. I know people are complaining about these figures and the aesthetics, but I love them. I bought a 1/12 scale remote control military style jeep from Amazon.com for my Joes, and a Safari brand Timber Wolf figurine that's in scale with Snake Eyes! I'm having a blast with these and I can't wait now for the Baroness with Motorcycle and Beachhead! I'm going batshit nuts!!!
That's sharp design on the box. It's not a true emboss (a traditional die is needed for that) but digital printing process of polymer powder that when heated, rises up for a 3D, glossy shine. It can even be tinted for added effect - cool stuff. As always, many thanks for the fun reviews!
I've gotta wait till the end of April for it in The UK! On the plus side I pre ordered it at half price and they seem to be sticking to that price so that makes it less painful a wait!
Great poses! I will probably get the regular edition $40 is still steep for me even with the nice packaging. For premium figure, they should have a posable Timber with moving jaw and legs even though the weapons rack is nice. The figure is beautiful. People are asking for vehicle; and some said it is going to be hard for 6" figure at a affordable price. My idea is to do a GI Joe/Transformer vehicle at $100. It will be premium and bigger. You can pair it will GI Joe 6" or play the vehicle like a mega Transformers, which will make it worth the $100 price tag. Great video!
The embossing on the box is gorgeous!!! It almost makes me wish I'd paid the money for this one. I'm fine waiting for the regular Snake Eyes though, so it's ok. I'm still unsure on the line as a whole. Snake Eyes is great, and I didn't mind Duke and Scarlett too much, but that Road Block just disappointed me so much! If I wasn't given the context for the reveal, I would have had trouble guessing it was him. Regardless of the line as a whole, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow will be mine! :)

Charcoal grey is what you would call that back pack color if you were sticking with the definitions of the tactical retail company descriptions, but it also reminds me of the subdued colors of multicam black without the camouflage break up, having worked in military surplus for 10 years this figure is a double nostalgia hit for me I can’t wait for storm shadow and baroness
Hasbro's 1985 *Snake Eyes* and Kenner's 1979 *Boba Fett* were my favorite figures as a kid. The 6 inch scale feels like 3 3/4 inch scale to me now that I'm grown up.
the last time i ever buyed a G.I.Joe Action Figure was when they were making Figures to go with the live action movies i'm glad that G.I.Joe's are makeing a come back
I had loads of Joes! I’m in the camp, I’ll buy all these 6” Joes. But honestly if they put out a squad or two with this same passion I’d be very happy. I want vehicles too. Bubble, Skyhawk, HISS, etc. I’m going to be happy with whatever is made because this hits the spot. Spidey, Indy, Wars, and Joes. I’m 10 again.
I have been enjoying the hell out of mine the last day as well. My one critique is that the drop down hips are passe engineering. Most imports have found newer ways to make that work that aren't as prone to floppiness issues.
Thanks for the thorough review. I was not overly impressed with the six inch line. I would probably pick them up if they were a little cheaper. It’s hard to pull funds away from purchasing vintage for the new 6” line that will not work with what I already have to display. Keep up the good work.
Am I the only person that actually just loves all the new GI Joe figures? The only one I'm hesitant on is the Scarlet and its only because her hair is more orange that pure scarlet red. Which as a guy whose married to a scarlet redhead, I much prefer that look haha.
The browns and rings look like his Retaliation costume which has armor platting over him and are strapped on if you look brown is a slightly secondary color with a plain and glossy black
What do you think of the new snake eyes and timber? I'm getting mine off of bbts. I also believe that new snake eyes uses the arms and upper body is beach head and lower torso is duke,flint,breaker I think,and beach head
@@TheFwoosh so do I it's literally the the only thing I remembered from sunbow also if you repaint the bear from ml white you can have the bear that attacked snake eyes
Finally opened mine since I was able to get a second one from a trade. Really disappointed in how loose the ab joints were and the knife doesn’t fit in the leg holster. But, it wasn’t the deluxe version.
Despite not being crazy about the rest of that initial wave (more because I've always wanted a 6" line skewing closer to the classic ARAH figs), I'm leaning toward buying it if for no other reason than I want the line to succeed so that Hasbro (who've no doubt heard the cry for the classic look) will give us core characters that evoke vintage ARAH in the future.
Wasn't sure how these would look when i saw the official Hasbro product shots. But with the lightning and commentary in this, now I really want to get it. Looks like he stepped out of an IDW Comic book. Now if Hasbro ended up making the grey suit, with the black grenades from "Pyramid of Darkness" in a Retro Wave, that would be perfect.
Really hoping for a version 1 snake eyes, some classic Cobra troopers, and a 1:12 Vamp. I know this won't be a vehicle based lined, but I can't be the only person who'd be in for a Vamp. People seem to really like those 1:12 Halo Warthogs judging by their aftermarket prices.
I also got my Snake Eyes in and I also used an Articulated Icons figure to make a 6 inch Snake Eyes a while back. Now I can go back and put the original head back on with the goggles to make a 6 inch v1 all I have to do is repaint the goggles.
Got mine today and also they released images for the standard release snake eyes from a guy on eBay who some how got it early the standard release is all black and comes with different guns
GI Joe peaked before I was born so I was never much into it but I love this figure. I probably won't buy many if any at all of the figures but I have to say, I'd bet this line will be great for collectors. Especially out-of-box collectors. For example, the butterfly joints will be excellent for posing with guns. This figure has excellent range, whereas most of the characters in the Black Series line who could really benefit from good butterfly joints either don't have them or the joints are severely obscured by armor or clothing. It's kind of sad and a lot of wasted potential in my opinion. I don't know if Snake Eyes' swords are meant to be completely black so if I'm canonically wrong in saying this, as I am a toy collector, not a GI Joe fan/collector, but I wish Hasbro would have painted the blades on his bladed weapons with the silver on the figure.
That torso is a game changer!!! No excuses for single ab crunches from this point from Hasbro.

Hasbro is a toe joint and a wrist swivle-hindge-swivle away from having import level articulation.
I think they're trying those wrist joints out with Marvel Legends. I wanna say the Punisher thats coming with a bike is using them.

It's okay for FULL GEAR SNAKE but it's a little too bulky for my taste, especially when messing around with the figure.

I also got my Snake Eyes in and I also used an Articulated Icons figure to make a 6 inch Snake Eyes a while back. Now I can go back and put the original head back on with the goggles to make a 6 inch v1 all I have to do is repaint the goggles.

Got mine today and also they released images for the standard release snake eyes from a guy on eBay who some how got it early the standard release is all black and comes with different guns

GI Joe peaked before I was born so I was never much into it but I love this figure. I probably won't buy many if any at all of the figures but I have to say, I'd bet this line will be great for collectors. Especially out-of-box collectors. For example, the butterfly joints will be excellent for posing with guns. This figure has excellent range, whereas most of the characters in the Black Series line who could really benefit from good butterfly joints either don't have them or the joints are severely obscured by armor or clothing. It's kind of sad and a lot of wasted potential in my opinion.
I don't know if Snake Eyes' swords are meant to be completely black so if I'm canonically wrong in saying this, as I am a toy collector, not a GI Joe fan/collector, but I wish Hasbro would have painted the blades on his bladed weapons with the silver on the figure.
Great review bro I think the strap color is Nato Black. More in military style color.
