I love your channel. i hope this is kept up for years and decades to come. the 90s was my childhood and it truly was the best decade in human existence.
You know why he couldn't reach that high and couldn't tie the knots all the way up there? Because he is not a human being. Where does she get that big load of nonsense saying that it was the dog and not the girls?
"Wishbone! How could you make such a mess!" Oh yeah, like the dog who has no oppose-able thumbs could hang up the toilet paper from the ceiling! Seesh!
7:19 - I love how they made the guy that carries Wishbone out of the prison have an English accent instead of French! That's John Barsad / Solomon Pross, the English/French double agent whom Sydney Carton basically blackmails into getting him into the prison - he seems all concerned and nice in this video, but if you read the book, he was anything but nice ...
It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known. Famous quote by that Charles Dickens has ever wrote since A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist
I couldn't agree more. It's just wrong that they weren't even made to help clean up. But on the other hand, who's to say that they didn't get in trouble at home later on?
Those mad peasant's lust will probably never be satisfied. Sydney denied them their vengeance. Some people can never learn to forever or forget. Still, it was a brave sacrifice he made.
But the two girls knew that they weren't supposed to do any of that. Of course, it was David and Joe's responsibility to make sure they didn't do anything.
Thank you soo much for these classic wishbones! please upload frankenbone if you have it, :) its 1 of my fave books and I'd love to see the wishbone intrepretation!
Wishbone is a good show like for reading my sister had to read this book and one day she was telling me and my mom about it and i asked (oh your talking about the book where a man named Charles evrymon AKA Charles darnay married Loosely manet and he goes goes back to francs to help his friend and medium dovish wants to kill him and Sidney carton takes his place?) And she was like how do you know so much about this book? I giggled and answered i watched wishbone
Madame. Lafarge is scary, no matter what! I mean, I'm sorry her family was killed by the evermonde brothers , but she took her revenge a little too far!
This is definitely a better Wishbonian adaptation of Charles Dickens than the earlier "Oliver Twist". They cover more of the main point of the story. Even so, it's still not everything (I know, they only had half an hour). They left out characters like the Marquis St. Evrémonde and the Vengeance. Plus, wouldn't it have been something if they'd included the part where Madame DeFarge tries to stop the family from escaping and is killed by Miss Pross?
How could Wishbone have possibly gotten the toilet paper on the ceiling?? He can jump, but not that high! I think evidence Wishbone did it would be how ripped up the toilet paper is I.E. it's hardly ripped at all. Human!
Ellen: Wishbone, how could you make such a mess? Me: Um... Ellen, Wishbone dose not have thumbs to hang toilet paper. Plus, he is too short to reach that high!
This is the only episode of Wishbone I remember, because I never understood why the weird man was drugging Wishbone in prison or why the weird lady was so happy about it. I'm an English major now, sooo yes. But nostalgia nonetheless.
Aka, it was a punishment for their folly. They must pay for not taking responsibilities and being good children. If a 2 year old barfs on you because the parent gave them bad food, do you blame the child for not knowing it was bad or the parent who gave them the bad food. That's a hyperbole, but I hope it brings around a good point.
What are you doing here for the whole thing and you have to do something that is not the right thing to do something about to happen Dont do that Them to girls are in big trouble for sure now way would they do that😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 123r56677890 woo
Despite all the time change, the same-old-same-old keeps going on. I'd recommend that Bernie Sanders and other uber liberals watch this episode, or read the book. Blaming the rich for the struggles of the poor is erroneous.
First of all, party fighting needs to stop. Look at the policies and characters of the politicians when judging them, not what party they belong to. Also you're slightly brain washed into thinking that the poor shouldn't blame the rich. While yes I will acknowledge that they worked for their wealth (for some, others gain it from being the child of a rich person), they still earned their riches because of those poorer than others. The working class do all the work while the rich collect the rewards. The value they do is seen as less even though they're the ones keeping the business going. If Jeff Bezos did it alone, he wouldn't be as rich as he is. There's an imbalance.
@@inuloveskago I believe everyone has the right to get as rich as they want. I don't believe people have the right to take what isn't theirs, no matter how much more someone else has than yourself. I think it more beneficial for the rich to help out the poor by telling them what it takes to succeed, and if they feel better about it also contribute/invest in the ideas of the poor. If I was a millionaire or billionaire, I would think it more responsible to offer somebody the financial help and assistance to own a franchise, or start up a business, rather than simply tax across the board and those tax dollars trickle down through programs before reaching people. Liberals preach against "trickle down economics" from employer to employee, but they provide trickle down government. Always choked up at Sydney's speech when replacing Charles, and even now still do. Epic and sad both.
I love how the end of each of these videos they tell you something behind the scenes. It was always so much fun!
I still tear up a little when Sydney takes Charles' place. STILL! After so many years!
Such good acting and writing
I love your channel. i hope this is kept up for years and decades to come. the 90s was my childhood and it truly was the best decade in human existence.
What Sydney did taking Charles's place was very noble and selfless.
WHY WOULD YOU THINK THE DOG DID THAT??? HE COULDN'T REACH THAT HIGH! HE COULDN'T TIE THE KNOTS ALL THE WAY UP THERE!
real shit
I thought she just said that to get the girls to confess 🤨
You know why he couldn't reach that high and couldn't tie the knots all the way up there? Because he is not a human being. Where does she get that big load of nonsense saying that it was the dog and not the girls?
I love Sydney's last words! So touching...
7:46 The best final words of Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities.
I salute you Sydney.🫡
That sequence when the villainous lady is raising her knot has always stuck in my memory from when I was kid. That actress is beast in this episode.
She sounds like Susanne Blakeslee
"Wishbone! How could you make such a mess!" Oh yeah, like the dog who has no oppose-able thumbs could hang up the toilet paper from the ceiling! Seesh!

Sidney Carton's last scene still gives me shivers.
This episode always hit me right in the feels.
Why did the girls get off scot-free??? Thye're old enough to know better!
I couldn't agree more. It's just wrong that they weren't even made to help clean up. But on the other hand, who's to say that they didn't get in trouble at home later on?
I agree. Even as a kid, I wondered how the other characters could be so fooled by Emily and Tina's "We're just sweet, giggling little girls!" routine.
Wisbone: "Excuse me, do I look like a fat cat?" Heheh.
I love Sydney Carton. This is such an amazing book.
Why did Ellen think Wishbone made that mess with the toilet paper? How could he have gotten it up in places he couldn't reach if he tried to jump?
Think that someone should’ve pointed that out to her
This show is actually a pretty intelligent kids show.
5:25
*Thank you for FINALLY confessing, girls. But it's still the boys' fault for not watching you in the first place!*
I've never read A Tale of Two Cities but this episode left me very sad and in deep thought. I definitely want to read it now...
Wishbone: nobody ever listens to the dog
Me: yep that is true I'm sorry wishbone
RIP soccer the dog
Wow...that's friendship.
Those mad peasant's lust will probably never be satisfied. Sydney denied them their vengeance. Some people can never learn to forever or forget. Still, it was a brave sacrifice he made.
It's not vengeance if you take it out on the wrong person/people.
I miss this show. I love it so much I wish it would have been on longer then 2 seasons.
Imagine if Joe's mom was latina and came home to this ? Lol
This and Faust were the darkest episodes of this show
But the two girls knew that they weren't supposed to do any of that. Of course, it was David and Joe's responsibility to make sure they didn't do anything.
Boy you guys are in trouble......Trouble!
Hilarious
Idk he's a pretty freakin smart dog, I'm sure he'd find a way

Yes, it is.

Wishbone made a total mess?! Why would he do that in his own house?! He's always been well-behaved.
David little sister was 75% trouble and the rest a sweetie.

At 8:05 that music makes me tear up a little. That was a very nobel thing Sydney did.
What a true friend Sydney was
Is Ellen that "dence" he's Wishbone not Buzzlightyear how would he reach the ceiling.
Ellen: Wishbone, how could you make such a mess?
Me: Um... Ellen, Wishbone dose not have thumbs to hang toilet paper. Plus, he is too short to reach that high!
What's even more ridiculous is that even after realizing the girls are there still thinks Wishbone is the guilty party.
And the girls have necklaces made out of toilet paper.
You damn right Wishbones a good 🐶

Me, too. That is why he is my favourite character in the novel.
They should have done Les miserables. Wishbone as Jean Valjean would have been epic.

did they have color photos back then?
What I don't understand is why did Joe and David clean up the mess while the two "girls" for wan't a better word , just sat there.

The mom was really thinking the dog put TP on the ceiling?
Her teeth though. I can see y madame dufarge is mad lol
What chapter in the book has his famous speech?
dumb question but any one know the song in the backround durning the jail scene
What a sad, yet true story. Never did aprove of the french revolution.
@RachelHC Yeah, well, this was the 90's. It wasn't until the 2000's when adults were made to look stupid on tv shows.
Madam defarge is a scary woman!
She got what she deserves,
But it’s offscreen on Wishbone.
Pookiebear43 I love the fact Sydney did and took Charlie’s olace
I don 't think I want to know!
Still better than the Chris Sarandon version!🤣
Just like Jesus.
