Out of interest, did you check if you got the check engine light before you removed the PAIR system... ie. if you just removed the charcoal canister solenoid, but left the PAIR solenoid connected? The reason I ask is I've removed the canister from a number of CB500Xs over the years and there is no check engine light, even without bridging the now open plug on the loom - you just tape it up. Alternatively could you just not leave the canister solenoid connected to the loom, but essentially doing nothing now all the hoses have been disconnected? I imagine that would simply 'fool' the ECU that the system was still in place even though it is no longer venting into the throttle body from time to time (since all that solenoid does is open a valve in the hoses).
Fantastic video Jake. One question, other than what you just did, does the bike have a modified ECU, or is it just completely stock. I’d like to remove all the pollution devices, but am a little worried that the bike would not run that well. Thanks much.
So, the secondary air thing seems to act as the engine vent of excess pressure...by blanking it off won't that result in overpressure and blown seals? What advantage is removing the list bit anyway? I understand removing the charcoal can ( space) but not the air thing.
You can still use that O2 sensors bracket if you use shorter bolts and put it back without secondary air valve. I'll maybe try to use 25ohm resistor for secondary air system on and 30ohm resistor on charcoaö canister blug. Measured those today. Could you put link for your Power Vision 3 solutiom here. & Thank you Jake!

Call the dealership and offer them $800 to get you a 300l. I have waited a year and I called the dealer and told them I’ll give you $800 if you get me one because I’ve waited and waited. A week later they magically got one. A guy at the dealer offered to pay me not to buy it because he has waited for months as well. As I was leaving with my new bike he told me he found a dealer 800 miles away and was driving to get one but he had to pay a $1000 markup. Another dealer told me a week ago they had two come in randomly and they were sold in 20 mins of opening. I’m glad I offered the extra money because I have spent a lot of time and gas hunting one down and being let down week after week and month after month.

The stock handle bars are steel, are the upper and lower triple clamps also steel ? I was told the engine is painted because it is has cast steel cases, jug and head and the only aluminum was the piston and Fuel Inj. housing, is that accurate ? Is the front master cylinder aluminum or a steel casting ? I would guess the disc brake cylinders are alum. as well as the rear brake mstr. cyl. If this is true it seems they have kept the use of aluminum to a minimum on this model only the swing arm, upper fork tubes and clutch and brake levers. I have not seen one in person yet as my local dealer had one back in December that I missed out looking at and won't have a 2022 in until June or July. Thanks
