in my opinion, the software is better than the mic. In audio comparisons i think it sounds a bit average but the software it makes is brilliant. If you could somehow make the software purely pc based and usable without the mic, that would make it a trillion times better
Sadly that wont happen. They claim you need the microphone because the software uses the microphone to calculate stuff. Feels a bit like the RTX audio needing RTV video cards (it didnt).
@@lain2779 Nah, they're just saying this to sell their products. Look at VoiceMeeter, it's a standalone software which let's you control the volume of different sources except for submixing. I've haven't seen anything yet that uses the Wave except as an input device. As a software developer I can say that there's no calculation happening. You can't even add VSTs (for now) so nothing has to be calculated from/by the microphone.
So if i link a game audio to a specific Wave Link channel and then I close the game, will it reconnect on its own on future launches or do i have to link it manually each time? Also, since Windows see games as different processes, do you have to do this again for every app that you launch?
You would set your default audio device in Windows to Elgato's software output, unless your game has it's own setting for selecting the output device. Either way, it will always default to that channel.

I set my discord they way you said too and it sounds fine in my ear and when I click the "hear what the stream hears" button but actually on stream discord is echoing and I cant make it stop please help
I purchased the Elgato3 mic and Wavelink software to work with Spacial SAM DJ Professional software. SAM plays music from a database on my PC, and with my voice, broadcasts that signal to an Internet radio station (Caster, and others). SAM also has microphone and music input and output controls. I am unsure how to connect Wavelink, or rather, connect SAMS to Wavelink, and get the audio out to the Internet. Should you make another help video like this, would be very interested to see how various DJ software is used with Wavelink. I can't be the only one using an Elgato mic for this purpose. thanks.

@@Cbonezz i've got an answer from Elgato. The HD60 is not a source. you have to launch the game capture HD software and get the sound from it ... its the only way for now... i hope they will update Wave link to detect directly form the HD60

Having issues when it comes to setting up game audio. For some reason when i select game in the output section i cant hear game and its not working in the wave link software
The specific PC game you're playing may have an issue outputting to a non-system channel. A workaround for this right now is outputting your system audio to the wave link channel and setting your game to default output and it should work fine.

@Elgato Gaming, I got the Wave:3 and I am setting it up. I experience way worse sound quality when connecting Spotify as music output in wave. When I turn back to "standard" it's amazing. Via Wave, it sounds really bad. Is this a setting issue?
Who input needs to be selected as well out the output device so that my stream can hear my teammates that's IN-GAME CHAT. They are able to hear all other audio except my teammates voices.
hey Question ? SO as of today I've started to have an issue with the mixer on wave link, where all my settings are fine how I've had them for weeks but there is no sound in any of my applications. The way to fix the sound part would be by pulling up audio settings and deselecting the channel its running through and to reselect it again. This has to be done every time I close an app google chrome for example, this is happening with all my outputs so game, voice chat,and browser ? I have uninnstalled the app and restarted my pc but the problem is still there. What should I do ?
Im having issues that my teammates says they can't hear me in game chat while playing on PC BUT I could hear them in game chat. The game Rocket League is not being recognized by the game channel. I have been successful with assigning other games to the game channel and hearing audio but not Rocket League for some reason. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I am having a problem with the software. My problem is that whenever I switch or link my gaming audio to a channel on wave link (eather Game or System), there is a slight delay in the gamesound. This is a huge problem for me as I play competetive e-sport titles such as CS:GO and Valorant, where I need precision all the time. Having my audio delayed is a huge disadvantage and it is straight up unplayable. Is there a soloution for this? What can I do to fix this issue?

Like you just reinstalled wavelink for the 5th time in a day, and there is no option for system, and in programs, there is no option to use the stream output? What do you do then? I have been trying to find the answer, reach out to elgato, and so far nothing... because as it stands, the setup is basically useless...
Just look again the video today and it's say " certain capture card as HD60S+ or CAM LINK 4K"... So the other model are not compatible and you say NOTHING . MAKE A PATCH because it's very annoying that the HD60S CAN'T be a hardware USB source.
Why in the world would you want a different mix for yourself and then a separate mix for your stream. The first tenant in mixing audio is to monitor your mix that is being recorded. Otherwise you have no idea what your mix sounds like. That is completely insane! I really like your product, but I find it hard to hear that you think not listening to the actual stream mix is the thing to do. What am I missing?
Most of the time yes, they should be identical. Something I think of is music, having it play in your headphones loud or something but maybe your audience doesn’t want loud music/ avoiding copy-write. Situations like that is what I assume the differences are for

Every time there's an update for this, you have to do this all over again. It's really annoying and I have to look back at how to set up all my audio channels again.....

when you add the Support for your Capture Card Inputs? it is currently not supported in Wave Link
Add Button "Effect" in each channel in for Mic Waves, as Noise Reduction, Channel Strip, Reberb, etc...

add google chrome into wave link on mac but can not control volume for Chrome in wave link panel. Just wonder, we can not use 100% Features on Mac OS?

Answer is: No. It is not possible. For you to use the software you need the microphone actively plugged in.
I can't get over this... I'd switch right now if it weren't for this roadblock.
