When I was a teenager I couldn't afford to buy materials to build a box for a pair of 10 inch subwoofers and I did something similar with 5 gallon paint buckets and a small port in the bottom of it. Bass output wasn't too smooth and deep like I wanted it to be but it was ok for the moment until I could build a box for them... Very nice work Ken and I'm glad you are doing this to help inspire creativity. I'm a new fan of yours.
Buy some round plastic waste baskets with bottoms slightly larger than the speakers. Cut a hole for the speakers , wire them and mount them in the bottom with nuts and bolts.. Cut out four 2 " holes spaced evenly around the top lip of the waste basket. Then you will have two omni directional speakers. They sound better on a carpeted floor or you can stuff some polyester batting in them to reduce the reflective sound.

They do make pretty good enclosures. I use one as a test jig with a lining of old carpet.
I have a 50 watt per channel
Bluetooth amp & thinking of connecting
2 speakers. But I want to make it
Portable toCary around.
Lol... i have some 6-3/4 speakers to repair and use... what could i use without building a box?
