Mine surely did :)) used it on even smaller branch and the lock curved so now it is impossible to close the blade one handed and I need to use the toothpick to push the liner in place :( .... ordered a new one and I cabd say I have learned my lesson so besides the folder I also take a small neck knife tipe of blade for these kind of battoning tasks.
Why on earth would you baton such a small log anyway? And why not at 90deg angle like one is supposed to do with all folders? Lastly, why baton in the first place?
@@ExploreYourLand Don't get me wrong, I love that knife, but I'm not in favour of batoning when used as a standard procedure. Under exceptional circumstances yes, but there are much better alternatives, such as using bigger more robust tools or wedges. Of course, my main question always is "Why?" Generally, there's usually more "small wood" lying around than thick logs! It's like using your knife spine to create sparks from a ferro rod and saying it is an indispensable feature of a good knife. One could use so many other items to do that! Thanks for replying. battening with a liner lock might show the built quality but its not made to deal with such stress and it will break sooner or later.

Dude!!! that is a sweet knife, I want one for my pocket, my car, my house, and my shed ;) (I'd use the corkscrew for sure)

Agreed. I can’t explain it, but the upscaling of that tool makes it weirdly off-putting.

Just wanted to see if the knife could do it. Good call on the 90 degree angle, definitely should have done that instead 👍🏼
