for anyone here just learning tob: a great place to practice getting used to 3 tick melee is barbarian assault. the fighters & rangers will wander around giving you space you have to clear while maximizing DPS, and there's an ugly pet if you're lucky :D

Sick guide :) a point about bloat, if a team member enters as soon as possible (if done correctly they'll take one fly), it means that bloat will go down earlier for the first down which saves like 10 seconds overall

Thanks, the plugin is from an old client. That kind of client isn't allowed anymore and I reverted to runelite so im not sure if it's still out there

He's using a cheat client, I believe, so bluelite or openrs. Can't recommend playing the game if you choose to use a cheat client. Though, Purple says he doesn't use it anymore because it was only allowed at the time.

It was an old plugin from a client that's no longer legal unfortunately I couldn't find it if I tried

it's a plugin in an underground client that isn't so legal anymore so for that reason i can't share it but I didn't have it when I learned xarpus and I believe you can do it too. pm me ingame "w assim" ;)
Can you please make a zulrah guide including zulrah stall mechanic. And a ToB duo guide?
Unfortunately I can't promise anything soon, final semester and exams coming up. But I'll consider a duo ToB walkthrough type video with someone who has lots of duo experience to get their insight on it. And I've yet to perfect zulrah stalling but I'll be doing some on the iron later this year so that may be a thing too. thanks for the feedback :)

even though it's capped, you still want to hit as high as possible within that allowable cap. It's been tested and calculated

going into something "because it's better dps" doesn't make any sense unless preswitching would get you better dps/another attack. You're better off switching to whatever is more convenient
Yeah that triggered a few concerns. I typically always preswitch into melee because if I had to correct it and go into range I could do 3bp hits and 1 tbow. Now I see why most people prefer 1 tbow 1bp into another tbow making switching to range more convenient.

I see what you're doing, and I can appreciate that you're tryna have my back but it's all good man. If and when I login, people are always down to raid with me.
This guide was pretty bad to be for real. Not saying that to troll, but maybe make a different title… your title says “advanced”… NOTHING in here was an “advanced” strategy. Everything in here was strategies anyone should use from the beginning basically. Maybe chinning at maiden, could be considered “advanced”, but other than that, I didn’t see any advanced strategies. There was all kinds of more “advanced” techniques for bloat, depending on gear, you could start 1 chally/3 whip/1chally. At nylos a more advanced thing would be for melee dps to switch to mage when they can to help speed it up. I mean, sooo many more “advanced” techniques. I’m only 60kc and was looking for some pro tips. I didn’t find any here :(.
EDIT: My comment is for constructive criticism. Not trying to be an asshole by any means. I was disappointed enough to even comment, I rarely comment.
No offense taken and hopefully none given either, but learning tob in 2021 is a lot easier than it was 2018-9. This guide is 2 years old and back then it was the first guide that explained 5t xarpus. If you don't think it's advanced that's fine but this was meta. If you're here to say you mastered all these techniques at only 60kc then nice flex. If you want more check out the raid discords and watch speedruns for more time saving strats
