This is one of the biggest areas I need to improve on. I'm a stabber, I need to get my go-to reaction to be slapping the water and getting into the correct C.
Also u need to be able to read the water like if water is form a small bump there is obstruction under the water like a tree being down and possible stainers or Eddie's that are very important points I dont hear any info on which I see u read and aware of but it seems to be automatic to you but this is where people get in trouble
I def talk about tree hazards. I just can't get every piece of advice into every video! They would all be way too long!! Here is one where I discuss trees...ua-cam.com/video/BXuUIv9ExPc/v-deo.html
Eye opener. If you can do ear dips you will avoid half of the flips. Gotta get a spotter and slack water tommorow. Thanks for the series. No doubt it saves lives.
Also the main part that people end up flipping is and Eddie and that where the flow reverses which I see u use it to turn around and watch ur friends run the rapid i learned in a canoe before ever using a kayak which is like a standard going to automatic CAR
Awesome! Go ahead and try the high price as well. What I have found is that when I need a brace the most it's always the high brace that gets used. Have fun out there!
Excellent!!!! I'm learning stuff
Right on Chuck!

For sure Wayne!!

Thanks majawn!
Good video Pete.
Thanks Richard!
I identified this as another area to work on after the Nolichucky...seems there's a RK how-to video for everything.😎
He he he! Right on brother! So much to learn...
'Don't go Spartan on the water," pat the fish on the head, ha ha! Great video as always!
He he! Thanks John!
Another good video. You are putting out some great info. I used some a week ago on the James River.
Thanks Shane!
What the heck River King Pete? I wanted to star in all these episodes!
I cant afford the royalties!!

Next I will bring it all together in a total package video...You gotta get the ear dips! Thank you sir!!

Eddy trips are what we call it! They are always lurking!
Going to the kayak club tomorrow, I'll definitely try the low brace... Better bring a couple of dry sets of clothing

@@RiverKingsKayak thanks for the tips, as always
Maybe just put on one set of dry clothes when you’re done?
Do you have any recommendations for a touring kayak in the fourteen to fifteen foot range? Something that you would buy for yourself.
I am sold on the Prijon Yukon Expedition. They are no longer made though. Lots of folks like the Wilderness Systems Tsunami 145.
Love those paddles.
They are pretty nice!
Flipping it provides entertainment 😁
So true!!
Just trying to be helpful I see ur a very skilled kayaker and ur second nature to you
Thanks Joe!
