As a lilkiddo in VERNONIA OREGON we all got free tickets to Jonny Cash movie ring of fire. We played by the steam engine and parked by the old logging train tressel in the movie. We watched from where we could up the street by our home while the movie was filmed. Nice memories!

This version is closer to the original, performed one of Carter sisters, who wrote it, before Cash’s popular version with the Mexican horns.

I've never heard this song as a Bluegrass number...Not just anybody could do that. But I like it better than the original. Who needs Mariachi trumpets...this was much better!

Back in the mid/late 1980's i was with the Coombs/Hilliers Fire department on Vancouver Island and we were asked to work security for the bluegrass festival in Coombs, it was awesome.
