    I am really glad Right to Repair passed, esp for issues like this. We purchase these items, we should be able to replace the batteries.

    I'm really grateful to you for helping all of us see what's going on inside our phones! It's really hard to use social media with this phone because I can't import anything via an sd card. -Thank you for taking the time to do this💐!

      Money. It's a control for more money issue. Apple is the worst for it. That is why I'm glad Right to Repair passed. Phones used to be made with easy to remove backs but companies stopped making them that way so you would have to pay for the repair.

    Sir question, about the battery connecter and the yellow connectors, do it just unplug when you pry it? Also do we need to glue the new battery too? I don't know what adhesive to use and it don't think i can find those adhesive strip for smartphone battery, any alternative suggestion?
    I am planning to swap out my current battery since it was bloated.

    • @DIYGeardo
      @DIYGeardo  2 роки тому

      Unplug those connectors and then pry it. You can use thin double sided tapes. Well better to have some glue.

    I've been wanting to replace mine for a while due to extreme battery drain, I charge my phone multiple times a day its so annoying but the problem is that I dont have any money for this. I can't convince my dad, he will just say the phone is fine when it has a bump on the back case and it is cracked 😭

    • @DIYGeardo

      Using a bad battery for a long time is not good for the device. It can cause issues with other parts.

      @Aniwehwalanpake Рік тому

      I also have the same issue but my phone battery is good and all but the bump just got larger and it affects my screen I don't have the money to replace it so I'll try to make do with removing the gas pailed up in it does this works?

    • @sxhlainn
      @sxhlainn Рік тому

      @@Aniwehwalanpake I'm not sure, I got a new phone about a month ago and my old one stopped working recently 😭 Also when I tried to take some pics it was turning off. If you have any issues with your battery you could experience overheating and you'd have your phone to be plugged in everyday at every hour 😭 This happened to me! I couldn't get mine repaired because there was no services around in my town so my mom saved up and got me a new one and I'm so so grateful! But still I'm not the one who broke it, I made a switch with my dad and the crack was there at that time, I didn't know it would be such a problem! I recommend changing the screen if you have any problems or just completely change the phone if you can convince your parents. That's what I did cause the phone I had before I switched it was so old and cracked 💀 I wish you your phone is gonna be okay, and do your best to repair it or get a new one! It's dangerous to get in contact with that substance, do some research please :)

    I have a camera with an SD card and I want to put the SD card in my phone so I can upload videos and pics to my various accounts. Will that work with this phone? I followed the video and thank you because I finally found out how to get my sim card out...and I was hoping there was a place for the SD card, too. I got so far as to get my phone to separate along the line where you showed us how to start, right near where you get the sim card out. But then while I tried to keep opening it with plastic, the first side closed up and after a bit, I stopped trying to open it. I thought I might just ask you if there is a spot inside for the SD card so I can transfer pics and vids from my separate camera into my cell phone. Is that possible with this phone?

      It isn't just Samsung. Almost all phones are like this because phone makers learned they can make more money from repairs. But replacing a battery shouldn't be considered a repair. The Right to Repair passed in government so phone companies can't gouge us for minor things like battery replacement.
