C3E68 - Trekking On

As we enter the fray, darkness descends. En route to the risen gorge, Odd Courage, you continue your trek westward across the Borderlands. In crossing a vast swath of arid plains, you were ran upon by a stampede of aurochs being chased down by a flock of Dire Birds. As the prey of these avian monstrosities, the party was picked up one by one and slowly carried off momentarily before the threat was then ended. Upon reaching the first outpost of the Seekers Errant, you took to a night's rest after filling up on ale and relative comfort and again took to the wilds. With the help of Tritan's musical conjurations you managed to continue forth without need of found nourishment. Arriving at a great crevasse in the earth, you one-by-one galloped your horses across save for Golyat whose attempt would take him and his mount to the bottom of the 200-foot drop. Sequestering the help of the Slumbering Dragon Vessel, a Potion of Climbing would empower the half-orc to ascend and rejoin you. You would later reach the second outpost of a simple lean-to at the edge of a far ranging of hills. Several days beneath the shadows of these stony outcroppings would culminate in a dark storm approaching. This storm was one beyond the gathering cloud, however, as the dark star revealed itself and many rays of violet light began striking the region and beyond. Rising from the dirt beneath your feet, soldiers from an ancient battle including one skeletal giant would nearly strike you down with Tritan needing to be brought back with a revivifying scroll. You fled as the storm of undeath subsided, eventually coming to a place of rest beyond sight of quarry of additional threats...
