Wow! I can not believe we are close to completing another book of the Bible. I am so grateful and thankful I stumbled upon your channel. It truly has been a blessing! I look forward to the days you post new chapters. Looking forward to see what God has planned for you (and us).
We know that for those who love God all things [including death] work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” In other words, all things, including death, serve the children of God, serve their good, do for us what we need to have done.
When we die, our spirit and body separate. Even though our body dies, our spirit-which is the essence of who we are-lives on. Our spirit goes to the spirit world. The spirit world is a waiting period until we receive the gift of resurrection, when our spirits will reunite with our bodies.
If God is perfect, and Heaven is perfect, and we will be with God in Heaven- both body and soul one day- this only leaves the question, “How will the body become perfect?” This is why the body goes to the ground after death. The body dies like a seed when it goes into the ground. Your body becomes a new creature when God raises it up on the last day. 1 Corinthians 15:35-41Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) When the believer in Jesus’ body comes up out of the ground, it comes up perfect. Our new bodies will be pure. Our new bodies will be holy and acceptable in God’s presence. Only then will the Christian dwell both body and soul with Jesus forever. Revelation 21:3
Question about verse 23. I thought we all stand before God when we die (to be judged), so we won’t be raised until he comes back? Confused!! I am also confused with verse 29. Help!!
A great curiosity question in the fact that, did they have cremation then? Did Paul have understanding of that when he spoke and taught using these words? Yet our bodies, our flesh, our earthly bodies are mortal, they die. AND, I totally believe that when Jesus returns, we will be so astonished by His glory and by how beyond our comprehension God does things ☺️
While the Bible doesn’t describe in detail the glorified bodies we will receive in heaven, we know that they will be like that of Jesus’ resurrected body. Our human bodies are described in 1 Corinthians 15:42-53 as perishable, dishonorable, and weak, all due to sin. Our glorified bodies will be imperishable, honorable, and powerful. Our new bodies will no longer be “natural” bodies, subject to decay and death; we will live in “victory over sin and death,” won by Christ on our behalf (1 Corinthians 15:57). As imperishable bodies, they will no longer suffer from sickness and death, nor will they ever be subject to heat and cold or hunger and thirst. Our new bodies will be honorable in that they will not be shamed or shameful because of sin. When Adam and Eve sinned, the first thing they felt was shame because of their nakedness (Genesis 3:6-7). Although the Bible doesn’t portray glorified bodies as being naked, but rather clothed in white garments (Revelation 3:4-5, 18), they will be pure and undefiled by sin. Our earthly bodies are “weak” in many ways. Not only are we subject to the natural laws of gravity and time/space, we are weakened by sin and its temptations. Our glorified bodies will be empowered by the Spirit that owns us, and weakness will be no more. Just as our earthly bodies are perfectly suited to life on earth, our resurrected bodies will be suited for life in eternity. We will have form and solidity to the touch (Luke 24:39-40). We will likely be able to enjoy food, but will not be driven to it by necessity or fleshly desire (Luke 24:41-43). And like Moses and Elijah, we will be able to bathe in the glory of our Maker in the fellowship of His dear Son (Matthew 17:2-3; Philippians 3:10). The bodies we inherit will be more like what God originally intended, rather than what we now abide in. Gone will be the infirmity and weakness of our sinful flesh; rather, we will be glorified with Christ, and that glory will extend to the bodies we will inhabit
I just had a thought that when a person dies, the spirit leaves the body. It doesn’t stay in the body till the family decides whether to bury it or cremate it. So it’s either with Jesus or not, before the way it is buried. Just a thought. It’s always bothered me too.
So much to think about that is hard for us to comprehend, right!?! Our bodies, our flesh... mortal, they die. Our Spirit, with God, gives us eternal life. And our new heavenly bodies - who knows what that will look like☺️ So many curiosity questions and some I probably won't receive answers to yet my faith is still so strong because I trust God's plan!
WOW, Another amazing chapter, 15. First Corinthians it’s never too long for me. I just want you to keep going and keep teaching and speaking his word over us. 📖 Thank You SO SO much! ❤🙌📖

Hello everyone 😊 late start for me today
Still here, still going☺️
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).

Hi 👋 I tried to touch Like but it would not register 😕
Oh well... we see your heart, and the Lord is above the algorithm 😉

What about those who are cremated?

I was also stumped by people being baptized for the dead?
Totally... did you get some bonus research in on that point?😉
