OMG this really works!!! Me & my mom have only been doing this a few days now and we watch the other sing along video as well. When I say her voice is much stronger and she is speaking more fluently. At first her voice was weak and shaky. This is absolutely amazing. I see her getting more confident in her speaking. It’s also not taking her as long to make complete sentences. I told her about you and she follows along with your videos and told her you will be who we work with. She smiled at your last comment. We thank you thank you so much.
This makes me so happy to hear! Keep it up! I'm working on another one for opposite completion that goes along with this series that you might like trying next. Hi Crystal’s mom! :)
Really really appreciate the invaluable information that you share on your channel. I have a non-native accent. I already see vast improvements from following your exercise regimen. You are awesome!
You’re welcome Yolanda! I am sure there are other viewers with aphasia as well. Please let me know if you have any subject requests. Many blessings in your recovery journey. 💜 🙌
I am 24 years old.i am struggling with speech proccessing disorder, i can't organise my sentences. To illustrate, when i am going speak , i can't delivery the whole information properly. Sometimes i forget words or don't able to understand others. That time reputation, mumbling, fillers these problem i faced. I think it's a mental problem. It's really embarrassing. That's why i always stay away from social gathering. Sometimes i feel depressed. Please give me some suggestion. 🙏 Note:In my area, here there is no qualified speech therapist. If you help me,i will be greatful to you❤
Hi Suriya, Thanks for sharing your experience and journey. I hope there are other viewers who can relate and perhaps share their perspective. I cannot make any diagnostic or person-specific recommendations for both legal and ethical reasons, but I hope you are able to find resources to help you navigate your language challenges. Keep educating yourself and feel free to share things that others viewers may also benefit from. 🙌 💜
I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope her recovery journey is progressing well. I encourage you to seek a speech therapist in your area. I hope that you find these videos as helpful resources. Feel free to share your questions and thoughts as other viewers may be going through similar situations.
Great video. Subscribed :-) Question : I had a pretty good singing voice before I developed thyroid cancer. Now I only have 1 working vocal cord and my vocal range has dropped to at most an octave with a tone quality which is rough and gravelly (like a villain in an old movie). I am unable to hit the high notes as I sing along with you. Is range something that can be improved with one vocal cord ? and tone quality ? Is this the right exercise for it ?
Hi Gabithe! Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry to hear about the thyroid cancer and how it has affected your voice and vocal cords. That sounds frustrating. I am not able to give any person specific recommendations, legally or ethically. I do not have any voice therapy specific videos on my channel yet, but have considered it for a future video series. Keep an eye out until then and good for you for self advocating and seeking out resources to educate and rehabilitate yourself.
I have recently started doing the exercises you mentioned above : (ua-cam.com/video/psFaWfwnswM/v-deo.htmlsi=GcHdK2KgQjkpij4T) . I can now sing along with this video and can hit all the notes !!!! My tone is still rough but my vocal range has definitely expanded a bit and my voice is noticeably stronger ! It is also starting to feel like both cords are starting to work, although this would need to be confirmed by an ENT. Thank you ! these videos are a great help ! :-)
@@gabithemagyar that's fantastic! Way to go! I'm so glad you're seeing benefit and improvement. Have you tried this one out? ua-cam.com/video/psFaWfwnswM/v-deo.html
Hi! This video in particular is designed for adults with aphasia, apraxia or other neurological diseases impacting speech. I am not up to date on research involving singing and autism.
That is common with speaking difficulties as singing uses different parts of the brain and draws on automatic speech as compared to volitional speech. My videos on opposites and idiom completion are similar in that they draw on automatic speech to facilitate language. thanks for taking the time to comment. many blessings to you and your husband is his speech journey 🙌
